  1. It's simple really - a 3GN DQ is like being 'mostly dead' in 'The Princess Bride' "your friend here is "mostly dead" now mostly dead is " slightly alive" now with "All Dead" there's only one thing left to do... Go thru his pockets for loose change.
  2. I saw that also and the look on his face when they said he was advancing made me think Daniel would have rather beat John outright than advance on John's DQ.
  3. So, which match determined the shoot off participants? Did Lena automatically get into the shoot off by being the defending Lady?
  4. I'm confused after seeing the scores. How do you DQ and still get into the shoot off and walk away with a check? Some big names in that DQ list at the bottom.
  5. Jesse, it looks like Aaron Hayes's lovely wife was picking up the slack. She did a great job live streaming. Of course I found that out watching your feed on Meerket. Thanks for sharing, wish I could be there.
  6. I like my Speedcross but they wear too fast. Bought them last dec soles are nearly slick now. Looking for a more cleat like style with longer wear.
  7. I registered but have not received any response. Yes I'm first timer.
  8. That's the way I saw them used at the last match. There were several stages where you had to go prone with the rifle then retrieve the shotgun for a long run targets.
  9. Is anyone using Power Pistol? If so what loads. I was talking to a Pro shooter last weekend and he suggested I try Power Pistol. (If I can ever find it. )
  10. I do not use a Invictus vest yet. I do however use a 2.8 and a 12Q and I find the 4shell sets of the 12Q easier to grab from than the 2.8 when going for speed. I tend to hit the third row of shells with the heel of my hand dislodging them. The 12Q is much easier for me to be consistent. Personally I'd go for the Q24 or 28.
  11. I will mark this match down as a priceless LEARNING experience! ( as are all matches) I learned some serious lessons, which had the rules not been revised, would have resulted in a trip to DQ. Set the SAFETY! Forgot once on the rifle, once on the shotgun. Rookie stuff but it will never happen again. Lots of mental mistakes. I was told by someone we all respect " you can be a great shot but not know how to shoot a match." I'm now working on breaking down each stage into manageable pieces, of course once I lose count due to a miss or other screw up, I have to change my plan. That's the more difficult part, adapting to changes and executing a new plan on the fly. At some point the shooting is the easy part, the mental game is the true challenge.
  12. Last Year was held at Clinton House in SC. This match is at Woody's Hunt and Rifle Club, New Hill NC. You don't need your cart.
  13. I've been shooting Blue Bullet 125 gr rn over 3.8gr of Titegroup in my M&P 5inch 9. I recently chrono'd them and was getting 131PF. At the Blue Bullets SC championship the same load chrono'd at 134 PF. Different weather, different chrono. My test loads using Hornady HAP 125gr only gave me 121PF from the same pistol, same load. For 3gun I'm testing 3.2gr of Titegroup with 125gr Bayou Bullets. Seems to shoot notably softer but I haven't had a chance to chrono them yet.
  14. I try to never run any gun dry. Also I try to keep load planning simple. I stage my rounds on my belt as I plan to load them. Also I load an extra slug or two on long slug shots over 40 yards. It's faster to burn a slug than run out and try to load another slug. Also if you miss the last target in an array and it takes more than 5 sec to load another shell on an empty gun, or takes more time than the penalty let it stand. That's where your match saver comes into play if you have one. The vid of Keith Garcia quad loading on an empty gun answers the question of what to do on a empty shotgun and you still need more than one shot.
  15. True that. It saves my ass at least once every match. http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=211535&page=1
  16. Well Bullseye is just slightly faster that Titegroup on the burn rate chart.
  17. Any word yet on 5 inch tungsten guide rods?
