Went to the link and read through all of the information, very informative, but never saw anything regarding how to pay. When we registered for the Gator we sent a check to Steph but I can't remember if that information posted after you were registered. Any insight, should I be fortunate enough to get in. Thanks

Trace, I moved from 180 gr Bayou Bullets to 200 gr BBI and have enjoyed the 200 gr bullets much more. Recoil is more of a push than a snap. There are those shooters that say it slows down the slide and transitions but I am not that sophisticated of a shooter. Load info for 200 gr BBI - 4.36 gr of N320 at 1.199 oal for a 169 PF out of a 5" Schueman barrel at 42 degrees

I have used Extreme Shooters DVC grips for several years and have always been pleased with their products. In my case I am trying to get a smaller grip. Give Jason at Extreme a call and discuss your challenges with him. Best of luck

I have been looking for a good quality fleece jacket from a quality manufacture to shoot in when the temperatures are unexpectedly colder than normal. I have seen that manufactures such as The North Face, Marmot and Patagonia and others offer fleece jackets in a slim fit and was wondering if any of you use these types of jackets on colder range days.

MNshooter, I have been having a very similar issue when case gaging loaded bullets. An above normal number of bullets would not pass the case gage and thus not pass the barrel . Your explanation and discovery sound perfectly logical. Will be trying this in the next week or so to see if this maneuver solves my problem as well. Thanks

Glenn has built me a 2011 minor gun in 9 mm and most recently an open gun with a 9 mm barrel and a 38 SC barrel. His work has always been outstanding and he stands behind his guns. Besides being a great gun builder he is also a great person, much to my wife's dismay he and I have become good friends which keeps her on her toes looking for the next build coming around the corner.

My very first 2011 was an STI Edge that I got at an incredible price point. I had the top of the slide flat topped and serrations added, changed the grip to a stippled grip that I was more comfortable with and finally added the SV trigger. Don't totally remember cost but based on my custom gun experiences since then was under the cost of a custom gun. With that being said, if you feel that you are into shooting Limited long term then a custom gun may better suit you, sooner or later you are going to do it . I kept this gun as a backup gun for a long time after having my GAN's gun built. Cost and time until delivery have certainly gone up on custom guns. If you do go the Edge route I encourage you to consider a Dawson CPR Edge. They put the basic parts that you would end up buying on the Edge to start with. Best of luck and start stashing your coins in a cookie jar.

Just got a picture of my finished build from Glenn Rasch with Lone Star Innovations. I had him build the gun with a 38 SC barrel and a 9 mm barrel so that I could choose to shoot 9 mm minor for practice. Should have the gun in my hands by early next week depending on Hurricane Harvey's impact on Houston

While I understand your thinking I believe you would be better served with a 40 Edge. Limited is better geared with a 40 pistol and yes there are those that shoot minor in Limited but generally they tend to be highly skilled veterans (generally). Best of luck

Glenn is a very talented gunsmith, he has built and customized several guns for me and is currently working on my open gun build. Always a pleasure to talk to and visit with.

Pistol hard case for traveling?
Aggieddad02 replied to rootacres's topic in Travel, Locations, Ranges, etc.
Get in touch with Brack Wilson at Patriot Cases. Brack can cut the inside for a particular gun and the quality is top notch. -
I did the same thing after using the STI button for a number of years The serations were just a bit too aggressive, after dry firing 2 or 3 days in a row my thumb felt like I had been using a grater

Dillon 650 Case Feeding Issue
Aggieddad02 replied to Aggieddad02's topic in Dillon Precision Reloading Equipment
So it seems 3GDad, I spoke to Dillon on Monday of last week and they sent me a new Insert Cam, the black sloped part that pushes the case, going to change it out today and see if that takes care of the problem. I was curious to see if there were other considerations. Thanks for the time to reply to my OP -
Dillon 650 Case Feeding Issue

When loading 40 S&W I use a Redding Dual Ring sizing die to insure the Glock bulge is not an issue. Lubing makes the process a lot easier and by the way it does not take a whole lot -
Dillon 650 Case Feeding Issue
Aggieddad02 replied to Aggieddad02's topic in Dillon Precision Reloading Equipment
I thought about that Sarge and cleaned all of the parts that come in contact with the case in the process with some M-Pro 7. Didn't correct the issue. Just so strange that I have never had this before and all of a sudden it starts. I spoke to Dillon and they sent me a new indexing cam which I have not yet installed. Guess tomorrow that will be on the calendar. As always thanks for the courtesy of the reply Sarge.
