  1. hello, a friend of mine is looking for reloading data for his tanfoglio 9mm far, i only found one load with sp2, but he wants reloading data with vv powders.
  2. the nickel on the case is just plated, underneath it is just the same as normal brass case, i loaded my .38super remmington cases over more than 100 times, i started with a badge of 1000 cases, and after all these reloads i still have 800 good ones left the other 200 cracked or the primerpockets where really worn out. and i find it more easy to reload nickel cases, because the are smoother than the brass cases.
  3. i have that ringing to, but that also comes from driving leopard tanks and shooting with m109 and pzh 2000 howitsers for the past 9 years.
  4. all the guys at my club, who are shooting 9 major, are using n350, we use 6.7 / 6.8 grns of n350, 29.4mm oal, 124 grn limit-z bullet, fed 200 spm primer, and that give's about 166pf out of a trubor barrel, or a 5" barrel with 3 port comp, an other guy who i know is using 7.5 grns of n350 in his matchmaster (4.15" barrel) for the same powerfactor, it is a little compressed but it works.
  5. i have used this mount on my sps open gun, and i liked it. you can order it without screw holes so you can drill them in yourselve or let your gunsmith do it. on my new gun i have almost the same mount but it looks better imho but without the sidearm, actually this was the mount designed prior to the 3 in 1 mount by the same gunsmith. this is the mount that i'm using now. and this was my old gun with 3 in 1 mount from daa.
  6. i use my brass only 5 times, but most of the time i use magnum primers, and when i have a piece of brass where the primer seats with no effort, i take the primer out and throw the brass away.
  7. i use fed 200 small magnum or 205 small rifle, primers depending on what's available.
  8. 1. that doesn't work, i tried it, still powder spillage, it gets a little smoother but that's it. 2. why???? my dillon sizing die works great, and never have issues with brass that won't fit in my chamber, i even use glocked brass and never have problems with it. 3. ok this is a good one, nothing beats the redding seating die.
  9. i think the provide the wrong powder pan with it, i have 2 eliminator scale's en both have their own powderpan (different weight) i also wasn't able to use the powderpan from my father's eliminator scale, you can try to take out some lead balls, that are inside the thing (don't know the name for it) where you put your powderpan on. and i once send a eliminator scale back to dillon because i wasn't able to zero it correctly, there was a production fault in the plastic blocks, where the balance beam rest on, so there was to much friction between the balance beam, and the plastic blocks, and because of that the scale wouldn't zero correctly.
  10. don't put a knob on your cmore, i had mounted one from arredondo on my cmore, after a few months the switch was harder to turn, and the adjustement was getting difficult, and after a year the complete adjustement switch had broken down, no warranty, because i modified the cmore. if you want a bigger switch buy the cmore with the click switch.
  11. i shoot a custom open gun with an sti slide, and a lot of guys at the club, shoot them also, all lightened en shortened slides, no problems with any of them, some are shooting their guns for years.
  12. i have a tin coating on my open gun, i like it very much, and it comes in different colors so you can choose the colors you like.
  13. on the picture, above the brown paper on the left site in the middle.
  14. +1 on the Rubbing alcohol and a Que tip and i also have a small bottle of lcd screen cleaner and a lens cleaning wipe in my rangebag, works great also.
  15. so finally my mount has arrived today, looks much better now, and the thumbrest is further back, so i have more adjustement options. and some better pics.
  16. finally after 6 months of waiting, it's finished my new vms custom shorty 9mm major some specs. - sti, frame, grip, slide - sti bull barrel - skeletonized, tritop slide. - ice magwell - extreme engineering trigger kit - tin coating on slide, frame and barrel - custom titanium comp - daa 3 in 1 cmore mount (will be replaced for a custom mount with integrated thumbrest, wich will be finished within 1 week) - cmore 6moa - aftec extracor - m2i xl firing pin - extended ejector - ball detent slide racker le + ri got it last tuesday, put 350 rounds trough it, and shot a match yesterday without any malfunctions.
  17. i have used this powder for years, for my standart guns (tanfoglio hc custom, glock 17 and sps world custom) my load was; 4.9 grns 29mm oal fed 100 primer 124 grn rn fmj bullet used it, for steel challenge and ipsc my dad and brother are still using the same loads, and also like it.
  18. i have both, never discovered any differences between them except of the color.
  19. i clean them with brake cleaner, and after that i spray some interflon fin lube on them en wipe it down, for a nice shiny finish.
  20. 100 meters, a4 target, with my 38super open gun, 6 hits out of 10 shots.
  21. i'm a crane operator, before this job, i served in the dutch army for about 9 years, and served 1 time in irak and 2 times in afghanistan. picture from my job in the army. and a picture from the job i have now.
