Looks for Match

Looks for Match (2/11)

  1. 17.3 Aftermarket grip panels which match the profile and contours of the OFM standard or optional grip panels for the approved handgun and/or the application of tape on grips (see Appendix E3) are permitted. However, rubber sleeves are prohibited.
  2. if i find a high primer, i put the round back in the shellplate, and reseat it.
  3. enjoy it while you can. http://www.lhs-germany.de/en/home/news/view/?tx_ttnews[tt_news]=76&cHash=77dc4fb64bdb48ee91aa45820ba9d2b2
  4. had the same problem when i tried several racemaster holsters (all with correct insert block for the shadow) for my sp01 shadow, none of the where able to accomodate my gun, i quit trying and bought another holster.
  5. what i found wich was very helpfull with movement between positions, was playing tennis and squash, and another benefit of doing this, that it's also very good for you physical condition.
  6. it has more to do with the safety rules of the shooting range where the match is held, some ranges where i have been, it's not allowed to point a gun over the berm, because there are other shooting bays behind the berm or something like that, the most shooters wil get a dq when performing a reload, because most shooter are changing mags with the gun pointing with the barrel high in the air and over the berm. it's like the same rule with grey tape, on the mobile bullet traps commonly used on indoor ranges, when a round penetrates the grey tape with full diameter or you miss completely you will get dq'ed, for violation of the safety rules, but this is nowhere to be find in the ipsc rulebook. but in the case like in the video, i personally think that the stage shouldn't be set up like this, it was better to move the outer screens a meter further to the middle, shooting around barricades is difficult, exiting a position like that is even more difficult, and when exiting it's natural to point the gun a little to the outside away from the screen, in this case the margin was just to small to do that, and resulted in a dq, wich in my opinion didn't happen when the stage was build properly, it's not only the shooter wich has to be concerned about his/her and others safety, that's also a responsibility of the stage designer / builders.
  7. i assume, that this is a firing pin manufactured by cz itself?? do you have part number??
  8. extended firing pin??? where can i get these??
  9. i have the 13lb in my shadow, works fine.
  10. yep is common for sti/sv mags, don't know why it happens.
  11. yep same problem here with plated bullets and standart dillon dies on a 650, especially when laoding 9mm major with plated bullets. the dillon seating die has a hole in the seating stem, wich causes this on a plated bullet, with a lee seating die you don't have this problem anymore.
  12. i always try to use my 140mm magazines as much as possible when shooting a stage, i mostly use my 170 mm in a medium course so i do'n have to change mags, in a longcourse you can do just fine with 2 140mm magazines most of the time you have time enough for your mag change in a longcourse, and in a short course where time sometimes becomes more important than points i want my gun out of my holster and on target as fast as possible, and therefore i want less weight on my gun (if the gun is lighter you i can do my transitions faster and get it out of my holster quicker) i also do my mag changes and table starts faster with 140mm mags than with a 170mm mag, and a 140mm with 22 or 23 rounds in it seats easier in the gun than a 170mm topped of with 27 or 28 rounds. a 170mm mag is a lot longer than a 140mm mag, so it bumps easier against the magwell when doing a reload or a table start, try sticking a rod holding it by the end wich is 1 meter long and 5mm in diameter into a hole wich is 6mm in diameter, and after that try it with a rod wich is 10cm long, see with wich rod it works best.

    VZ grips thickness

the width on the gun with the diamond back grips is 1.208" the alu thin grips are 1.13" and the thick alu grips are 1.24" hope this wil help i'm also looking for some larger grips for my shadow, i now have the thick alu with agressive texture grip.s, i put griptape on it, but they are just a little to smaal for my hands, i tried the original grips, but i didn't like them and it's not possible to put griptape on them.
  14. you don't need to remove the lube, just shoot it. why do you want to remove it?? it doesn't harm anything or whatsoever.
