  1. Anyone have pics of how they installed it? When I line it up, the side saddle and adhesive velcro are way too long. Do I just need to trim the velcro? Thanks. Alden
  2. I liked Ashley up until this episode. Loved that Jamie won and crushed their plans. I laughed out loud when George kept saying performance based. Is that why Joe went to the elimination last week? I don't remember.
  3. Go for the standard one. I did...
  4. From setting up at the local matches, the wind at BOTW tends to start blowing around 9:30-10. Right about the time Sheldon mentions the lack of wind in the shooter's meeting. Travel safe and get ready for some fun!!!
  5. Realized I never said what I did to it for 3 gun... Side saddle for reloading (was on the gun when I bought it years ago, but it helps) That's it. Except for the match where I put a red dot on top of it. Very eady to shoot, but bumping up to open b/c of it just was not worth it.
  6. Try GT! GT Distributors I believe they are a match sponsor as well! Kyle GT is conveniently not far off 183. If I needed to buy buckshot or slugs or handgun or rifle ammo or a Glock or an M&P or an AR or a holster, or, well, lots of stuff, GT is at the top of the list. But birdshot? Call first. If you stop by GT then there is Dick's close by, too. Academy carries slugs as well, at least one brand of Remington slugs (if needed)
  7. The capacity is the reason I moved the Mossy to a back up position. Never had a problem with it that was not shooter related. Stages seem to set up for 8+1 (at least around here).
  8. C-rums did mine in 2-3 weeks. But he did a few other mods as well. I stay away from the Dremel Tool! I do it all with files and stones. Sometimes I go to far too fast with power tools! I felt the same way, but no fear now. Just go slow! Cheers, Kyle Mark Roth of xrail by RCI has a better solution than welding. Doc, can we get a picture of the lifter from the top side? (Take it out of the gun) Looks awesome BTW. Thanks. You Bet! Thanks for the compliment, but Michael Shumaker is the man and he should get the credit! He did a great job and stuck with the project until it worked 100% of the time! Here are the photos you requested. Cheers, Kyle Anyone know what the turn-around time is to weld up a gate....I might have gotten myself in a jam...just received my SLP today, and yes the thumb eating gate makes it difficult to load, BUT I have a match march 5th
  9. I have about 16" sticking out of mine. Works fine, still easy to load. Will leave it that way unless something starts acting up. I can always cut again, don't want to buy again.
  10. Received my SLP from C-Rums today. Could not be happier. Now I just need to get out to the range. Had him weld the lift gate (slot cut out was a bonus and did not notice it for an hour or two after I got it home) add the release button and smooth out the loading area. Uploaded with ImageShack.us
  11. I am 6'7" and find shooting through ports to be one of my biggest challenges. He'll, I usually have a better sight picture looking over the wall than I do through the port. I have been getting as close to the port as I can and trying to fire. Thinking about getting as far back as I possibly can next time. May not have to squat down as far. But doing so may require me moving laterally a bit to get all the targets. As a newb still figuring out what works for me.
  12. LaRue. Excellent product and amazing warranty, customer service.
  13. Curious about the internals as well. Is the Blue 22" still Invector chokes? Seems strange to sell two different models with different chokes. I see that causing confusion down the road.
  14. Thanks Kyle. I got a few goodies for my SLP, now I just need my SLP. (Nordic charging handle and +1 extension on hand, Nordic follower and 9 and 2 shot shell holders have been ordered) Talked to C-Rums yesterday, and the damn snow delayed him getting it by a week. Hoping to have it in hand end of next week/beginning of the next.
  15. C-Rums is doing all of that for me right now. Email him or give him a call.
  16. That was long... appears to be match specific??? Made me think about my rifle and I just took off my AFG. Will try shooting without it, and this way I can rest my handguard without fear of getting bumped to open b/c my AFG was resting on a barrell. Not that it will matter much which class I am shooting in at this point.
  17. Would using one of the Noveske K9 barricade supports bump you to open as well? Since it is used to gain support against a wall? Seems like it accomplishes a similar goal, just on a different plane.
  18. Shotgun, cause I can't hit anything with my pistol at distance.
  19. Don't let equipment keep you out of the game. Shoot what you have, and if you need something, someone will more than likely let you borrow it. Get out there, find out what works for you, and most importantly, be safe and have fun.
  20. Since he is likely to be confined to the stroller, just modify his "3 Gun Cart"
  21. Anything I can do to radius those points or trim back to get past this match, it is a fundraiser for a friend and fellow shooter to help sshis family cope with costs for cancer treatments, otherwise I would skip it. Several folks have ground them down or completely off. I think I would smooth them without removing too much material and then send it off to be welded, if that is what you want to do. If you cut/modify your lifter, C-rums will not accept it! Been there, done that! thanks Kyle. Was not aware of that. He is working on mine now. So ready to get it in hand. Back to the ?, I would just shoot it the way it is and take your time loading, then send it off after the shoot.
