  1. As far as I know, no one has the COF, so there should not be an advantage in that regard. I am waiting for a round count, need to stock up, and ammo seems to be getting harder to find lately. Isn't there a "pre-shoot" open before the match? Or did you mean the RO shoot the week before? (might have mis-interpreted what you were saying) I would assume the COF will be release around or shortly after the RO shoot.

Isn't there a "pre-shoot" open before the match? There may be an opportunity to sight in the day before the match starts, but that has not been decided yet. To be safe I would try to arrive with everything zero'd. There will not be an opportunity to zero during the match (should something happen) due to limited time and the # of shooters we have to run through.

  4. It is a good 3/4 to a mile hike, depending on how far back you park in the lot. Buggy/carts are def the way to go. It gets pretty crowded with all the people and golf carts.
  5. And I'm guessing you're not even considering driving out to College Station, which has a HM/Tac-Iron match 3rd Sunday and poodle-shooter 3gun on the 4th weekend. Only a 2 hour drive, which seems like what some folks on this board do to get to any match at all. I have thought about it, just hard to find time with 2 kids. I loved my time in College Station, and need to find more reasons to get back down there. I only get to shoot about once a month, but I like having the "opportunity" to shoot more often locally.
  6. Did not realize how spoiled I am. We have 3 gun every 3rd Saturday, 2 or 3 gun 4th or 5th Saturday, and pistol matches thrown in other weekends. And there are 2 other ranges close by that run a similar # of matches.
  7. LaRue. Great product, great customer support, great support of 3 gun. And dillo dust tastes great.
  8. Can we provide our own swords? I have one that has been sitting in the safe for way too long.
  9. Thank you sir. Carrier dog spring is back ordered, grrr.
  10. Me too. And since I only know enough about the slp to get myself in trouble, any way to get a picture of where the springs are located( in the action)? Thanks.
  11. During Saturday's match, 2 times on my slp I had feeding problems. Got it home and loaded it up with dummy shells. With nothing in the chamber, 8 in the tube, bolt forward, I pull the bolt handle back and release, and about half the time, the bolt goes forward without pulling a shell out of the tube. Any thoughts/ideas/suggestions? Mods - lifter welded and lightened/slot cut, loading port enlarged/smoothed and extended bolt release, all work done by C-Rums. (just in case some one asks what has been done to the gun till this point) Thanks. Alden
  12. GTG, and great customer service if you do have a problem.
  13. after my shooting yesterday, downloaded this for kindle. Got some reading to do.
  14. You're welcome. Just show up at BoTW about 9:00 to 9:30 to help set up, and then shoot the matches. Set up usually starts around 8.
  15. They will have a new shooters meeting before the match starts. Let them know it is your first match. Safety first, have fun and don't try to go to fast.
  16. I don't think the local monthly matches fill up. But I have not tried tossing up online for any of the matches yet, usually just sign up the morning of.
  17. Yep. Last year it was 2 full days of shooting Fri/Sat and then most folks were done around noon/lunch on Sunday. IIRC.
  18. If i bring my golf cart i have one i can hook you up with If that does not work out, you can borrow mine as long as you don't mind a cheap craigslist stroller conversion. Will be RO'ing, so I won't need it that weekend.
  19. Austin Airport to the Range on the Toll Roads is a straight, easy shot. around an hour travel time.
  20. Cool. C-Rums did a great job on mine, but that is something that should be changed.
  21. Is the lifter going to be addressed?
