  1. Welcome to the forms Kev, great place for info on just about anything and everything, just ask and again welcome!
  2. + 10 on everyones post's, I like the fact that I can load custom ammo that my weapons like and able to save some money even if I also broke even I would reload cause I love the hobby I feel like a chemist like Dr. Jekal and Mr. Hide when im in "THE LAB!" its your choice, if it was up to me, I would do it!!!TODAY!!!LOL...
  3. The holidays are coming! Dammmmmm more money to spend! owell gotta do it..

  4. +1 enjoy your 550! you might wonna invest in loading manuals bunches of em, they are your best friend! lol.... :-D
  5. It all depends on how much you shoot and how much time you got to reload!? do you plan on loading for rifle later down the line? sdb(square deal come with its own dies only for that caliber(you cant load riffle) you wonna load for, its small from what I seen and the RL550B is a manual indexing press(meaning you gotta turn the star by hand),on the 550b you can load rifle and there is an optional casefeeder but it DOES NOT feed rifle and uses standered loading dies as the 1050 and 650.the 650 is auto indexing press(meaning bull down the handle it turns the star each time you pull the handle)If you decide to go with the 650 get it with the casefeed or its just a auto indexing 550! the 650 comes with a powder check system also the sdb, rl550b, and 650 come with the Dillon no bs warenty great costomer service and the 1050 is a beastyou aint ready for that!lol... as for me I like my Dillon RL550B I am loading for 40's, 45ACP, and 44 magnum and the conversion kits are fast to change over. Dillon is truly the cadillac of all presses you get what you pay for and some! good luck on your choice you will love anyone that you decide to get
  6. +1 on barts post, you gotta invest in lots of reloading manuals and try the net looking up the load data for the powder you are using!
  7. + 1 On Aliants Power Pistol, I use it on my .40, 45ACP, and 44 magnum. The ball of flash is cool, shoots fairly well its clean and not to mention it measures well... Thanks Grumpyone for putting me on this powder!
  8. My 550B is the shhhizzzznitz!! As was posted earlyer our host sell's Dillonand I guess that makes me a supporter! maybe in time I will upgrade it is pointless to pop red pills just cause they give you free bullets cause I will just load em and shootem in seconds! so ill stick with a more classier Dillon press anything less will be uncivilized! lol....
  9. Like others have posted it all depends on how much you plan to shoot and time you have to load. you cant go wrong with Dillons RL550B, easy to setup use and witth the quick change caliber kits its faster to change over. dillon also has its no BS warnty, but if your shooting more ammo the 650 is an option but make sure you get the casefeed cause with out it its just a 550 but just with the auto indexing. since you plan onloading rifle, the Sqd b i would think is out of the question but not out of your price range only problem i didnt like was the fact it didnt like is that it cost more to convert and it doesnt take the standard dillon dies the 550 & 650 and also the 1050 now the 1050 is a monster and is also more pricier then the other reloaders hornady lock and load from what i hear is around the price of the 550 but has the features of the 650 and i think you can get 500 bullets from them too but that didnt make me a red pill popper! I went with the blue (550)for its quality and service.... what ever you choose you will not be un happy as for saving buying the initual setup can be exspesive, if you buy in bulk is where you would save money... good luck and welcome to the addiction!
  10. @Beezer, im loading on a 550B wit .40 cal Dillon dies when i guage em at times very few guage correctly I then rack em through my pistols to make sure they will cycle through. I got no problems, I just load and shoot! good luck!
