  1. Uh, I don't think you have the right movie....Maybe The Matrix instead? Edit to add: I bought an 1851 Colt Walker Dragoon 44 because I saw True Grit as a kid. Four pounds, 15 ounces UNLOADED. There is a reason they call them Horse Pistols. grump, i feel like a 'tee deee teee' ya ment matrix! True Grit(1969); great movie!!!! "I Will Avenge Poppas Death!" lol.. Man I was just a twinckle in my Poppa's eye at that time!!!
  2. MarCO you are a geek! lol... no but thanks for the info has me rethinking the safty and hazards that one does and might sometimes overlook! be safe everyone!
  3. Aliants Power Pistol powder any primer available all the Range brass you can find MG bullets and DILLON PROGRESSIVE PRESS OR GO HOME! LOL ... :-)
  4. I dont shoot compatition yet, but when I am wiping up a load in "THE LAB" for plinkering I use ALLIANTS POWER PISTOL. and sofar I am liking the price, how well it measures and easy it is to spot a double charge and versatility... curently loading for: 44Mag,40cal and 45ACP at the moment... just to throw this out there as an option..
  5. I picked up a Desert Eagle .44 Mag from the movie Men In Black("Mr.Anderson....!) I always wanted and said im going to save up and buy the Barret .50 BMG like in the movie Robo Cop, but that was back in the days of underoooze!lol....
  6. powdervalley and midwayUSA for reasonal bulk powders dont forget the Hazmat charge, I like Hornady XTP's little more exspensive then MG but good bullets!
  7. +1 on Alliant Power Pistol versitile in other calibers 18.99 a Lb or 57.99 for a 4Lb jug @ powdervalley or midwayUSA measures well good luck!
  8. Thanks Grumpyone, it looks like I got a looooong way to go.....
  9. , Sarge, I meant SD, whats PF? Does the remote kit come with the printer? and where is the best place to shop for a procrono?
  10. Thanks fellas, @ Sarge, wow! I see there where others shooting blind, surprised I missed this I typed in crono and crony and cronograph and got other posts only to be talkin about their loads..... what does DS mean? and what is this usb that plugs into your laptop? and I googled procrono and it mentioned a remote and printer and does it do the averaging for you? sorry for all the questions!
  11. Been reloading for a few months now and how I gotten through with out cronographing my loads is a good question. I been curious about my loads and have been window shopping for a cronograph, my questions are what are you guys using to crono your load and why? and at most competition shooting matches what is being used at the matches? Thanks in advance...
  12. Sounds good from here, just watch signs of presure and its good they chamber and you wonna make sure the OAL doesnt cause it to get stuck in your mags. my OAl for my for my .40's are 1.125-1.127 in a .155gr. bullet & 1.127-1.130 in a .180gr bullet using power pistol... I like Power Pistol cause its a versitile powder that I can use on other loads and calibers, it does have a little recoil but im sure it can be adjusted as for the muzzel flash it has some you should see it coming out of my DE.44 Maggnum!!! not the greatest of powders but sure is not the worst. Also another way to know if your loads are working well is if you crony em, good luck!
  13. DAMMM! I knew I gottin married to soon, I Love her! lol...
  14. @GM Bart, yes I do, I did leave that out didnt I? I do reaon being when I 1st started loading there where times that as a round chambered the OAL of the cartridge was longer and would get stuck in my mags along with some cartidges getting hungup due to nicks in case mouth and I had to pull 50 completed cartridges (embarassing face)cause i didnt check em properly and that alone was a pain in the a55 and a lesson learnd and there is more to learn so please feel free!
  15. yes,357 sig is a hot round, nothing wrong with some extra security... after I guage my loads I check that the oal is perfect for my mags then I rack em through my gun to make sure they will cycle properly(with out the firing pin)! good luck.. as for finding a guage check here on brianenos.com (in the online store) you can find everything that you will need for your reloading needs.....
  16. I loaded berrys didnt like the bullets just seemed like I would have to do some extra work but that is just my opinion.. when I loaded em my o.a.l was 1.125 my taper crimp was @ .420 that (-/+) of your measurements might matter when you are using a Matchgrade barrel. I it continues you might wonna add the U-Die or GR-X die to your shopping list along with a single stage press! Good luck!!
  17. Rex, I like to check it out maybe come up with a different system if you dont mind PM ing it to me...
  18. The problem was the seating right? so would there be a problem if you reloaded em? if so then I vote to snap cap em!
  19. I might be missing something too, whats the problem with depriming on the 550B? Is there a difference between depriming handgun primers and rifle primer on a 550? (I dont load for rifle so im just curious, I have deprimed handgun primers on my 550)
  20. I have also had a problem almost like this, my star was under the ejector wire but would loosen cause i did not properly tighten the brass tip, the plate should index smoothly sort of speak. If it doesnt index its cause its not properly set eather too tight or loose and the center bolt needs to be adjusted and if it has been tighten to its proper seting you gotta make sure the brass tip is now tighten to keep the star plate from comin off its propper setting.. over time and a few 100 ed loads it might need to be tighten..
  21. (Imma keep it going!) I too cant stand spiders, I got bit when I was a yungling and remember I was sick for a week.. I think it was a wolf, or a tiger spider or something all I know it was a ugly spider that needed to get smooshed!
  22. I gotta DE 44 Mark Vii, that is a beast welcome to the forums!

  23. Not bad Chills, thats the only problem with older furniture/work benches they sometimes show their age. Not bad thoe, Im buying a house and when I seen the 2 1/2 car garage and I noticed there was a long work bench already setup and I knew it wa the house fore me makes me wonna invest on a 650 maybe hook up a Tv but Old Man Winter is uh comin and im sure you know how it gets in the Chi around this time! berrrrrrrrr.......
