  1. Haha. He got the good genes and is a recon Marine. I'm pretty sure I am a product of the mailman, you know the one with gout and that weird eye twitch.
  2. Ken Any room left for 1 more. I sent app today for my brother who got out of Marine Corps early and can now make it Jacob
  3. Anyone know if there is still openings. Brother got out of Marine Corps early and hoping to make this a family affair Jacob
  4. Also lone star innovations for the fee shopping spree at power factor. Helping a junior bust into this sport is very rewarding. Watch out too. This kid has some serious natural talent Jacob
  5. My apps estimated arrival Wednesday. Think that's soon enuf for a first time shooter Jacob
  6. Darn. With that title I was hoping for so much more ; )
  7. Does anyone know how the classification system will work? For prizes within the division like USPSA? BigBets
  8. When I got my invite it looked like they extended it down another 10 slots or so since about that many couldn't make it. Now it looks like they are extending to any semi pro. You still have to qualify though! Jacob
  9. Just think how many sponsors would fit on my big ass jersey. Unfortunately no pro series qual match for me. Too expensive with building a house and a new baby. Oh well maybe next year if (NO WHEN) I qualify again Jacob
  10. I'm the one who sold you the barrel. Glad it's going to good use sir Jacob
  11. This is getting interesting. I have always said that qualifying for a Nascar race running a drag car is totally crazy. I am the guy who shot tac ops all year hoping to see if I was good enough for the pro series qual match and therefore good enough for the pro series. What happened towards the last part of 2012 is lots of tac ops shooters shot other divisions at matches I was at to try to gain more semi-pro points. People asked me, "why don't you do the same," and I said, just like above, why would I try to qual for the pro series shooting gear other than the same required for where I am trying to go. What did that get me? You have to get in the top 25 to qual for the match. Me.....27.....were there people above me with less shooting skill...Hell I have no idea....but I do know that if the rules stay the way proposed that question will not be asked in 2013.... And all this comes from a guy who just spend 2K on a heavy gun because of the above....You gotta love this sport!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Jacob
  12. Something is goofy with the website. It doesnt show the most recent scores as my best three were almost 224 for 2012 season and it shows 211. I am guessing something is goofed with the updates to the website Jacob
  13. Spreaders were originally made for skeet shooters who wanted to be able to keep their tighter choke but have another shot that opened up more. I have found spreaders from fiochhi to have more consistent patterns just as wide with ic and Lm as well Jacob
  14. I would also like to say it was a great match with lots of hard work put in for our enjoyment...The prize table was awesome and I will definitely be attending again next year
  15. 3 gun is supposed to be challenging...it is also supposed to be practical...shooting slugs at 60 yards from a swinging platform at targets of that size is in no way practical...so much so that if you look at the match book it was suppossed to be rifle...due to a backdrop issue it was changed to slugs from my understanding.... Either way...stages should be able to be completed by the majority of shooters in the time limits imposed...the best shooters will shine regardless...all that stage did is put unrealistic expectations on shooters new and experienced alike and dissapoint nine times out of ten....a course should definitely NOT be so hard that only 10% (and in this case I believe even that number is high) of shooters can shoot it penatly free or within time... That stage discouraged new people...I watched it...and listened when I saw them talking as if many others were gonna burn it down and they lacked skill or talent...Then I watched many in my squad, with many of the top finishers in the match, give the stage an honest effort and walk away disappointed as well...but we knew that was not because lack of skill...it was unrealistic accuracy expectations with a weapon platform not made for that level of accuracy...period...and its over with so I am moving on..but I can assure you I will never practice shooting slugs off a moving platform at 60 yards at 6 inch wide targets...I have more important things to improve on Jacob
  16. For those of you shooting limited, what have you found to be your favorite sight and sighting in distance. I am considering dabbling in limited with the Prismatic DCD but was really wondering where everyone zeroed, if they clicked up for longer targets, and what kind of ammuntion and velocity they preferred to run Thanks in advance Bets
  17. Give Brandon a shout at SVI. They make different sizes so that as the barrel and breechface lockup wears you can buy increasingly bigger sizes and keep the lockup tight. If you are just fitting a barrel to this slide I think you start with the smallest and as Brandon told me you can go the next size bigger every 30,000 rounds or so to keep lockup tight.... Good luck and good seeing you at Pro-Am....Us big guys loved us some car stage huh??? Jacob Betsworth
  18. So as I understand the posts just pack everything in the trunk and its an easy haul to the stages?
  19. Does anyone know from years past is a jogger cart needed or can a person pretty much drive to every stage Thanks Jacob
