  1. Glad to hear it everyone. And I will work on the model thing!!!!
  2. What did everyone think of the airsoft advice? Let me have it, I can take it!!!!
  3. As the title says..anyone with any experience in this? Same procedures as fitting to STI like opening up the frame or just plug n play mostly? Thanks Jacob
  4. Has anyone run new style SVI mags in the PT grips and frames? Do they take the normal STI massaging of the frame, ETC?
  5. Call them at the shop they will take care of you!!!
  6. Nope. Gas port is sized already so that there is no need for adjustable block. Both versions are the flattest and lightest uppers I have ever shot. There is a video on facebook of me running a practice stage holding the rifle like a handgun, two hand gripped on the handgrip of the rifle shooting it like an open pistol. Super fun and fast ;-) If Taran makes it...I've found its likely the best Jacob Betsworth
  7. Do yourself a favor and look at the XLR Indusries Tac Lite. Recent design changes allow a low or high mount and almost infinite adjustment for every thing you can think of. At 225 it's a steal!!! Even comes with a buffer tube.
  8. And I refer everyone to the...is 3 gun pulling away uspsa shooters thread!! This whole discussion makes me LOL...at the risk of sounding like a 14 year old girl!!!
  9. Kevin is top rate!!!! I have turned down several sponsors after trying their product but after trying Kevin's gear and he offering me a sponsorship I was ELATED!!! I have yet to try a product from him I wouldn't pay twice retail for!!!! His 2.8 quad loaders are all I shotgun load from and I have tried them ALL!!! The holster hanger is equally awesome!! Im sure many wish they would've thought of it first!!! Jacob
  10. Anyone know of you can use 3 certs for one case/order?
  11. Anyone know if more than one certificate can be used per case or order? Thanks Bets
  12. If you want a cheaper colored paper target check out Omaha targets. They make a similar paper non shoot n c style for a great price!!!
  13. Invictus gear is top notch!!!! It's all I will be running in both outlaw and pro series the rest of the year!!
  14. If taran makes it it's the best. End of story!!! No questions asked!! I tried them all
  15. Question for match directors and participants...at the regionals is there any need for high PF 9mm such as MGM swinger or heavy set poppers? If a popper is hit bit doesn't fall is it like pro series where a pistol hit counts regardless of steel falling Reason I ask is I have a bunch of loaded 124 grain 128 PF ammo for pro series but will load some heavier stuff for the regionals Thanks Bets
  16. I have held a 9mm minor svi in inficoat with 30 thou plus rounds and a stainless 6 inch 9 mm minor svi with 100 thou thru the pipe. Literally both felt like they could have just been built they were so tight I also brought a S#= gun to Brandon at svi who tuned and modified 4 svi mags and the "other" frame to take there mags one day before a match for only the cost of the mags. I shot that gun for 10 thou and it was looser than any svi I ever shot. Because of that I bought to svi 9mm pistols for three gun. My first had 10 thou is 3 months thru it and feels like brand new!! I will never own a double stack 2011 "style" pistol again that doesn't say svi on the side. And I get nothing from them sponsorship wise!! Bets
  17. With my Swarovski I always adjust where I sight in based on the match. If it's Midwest or pro am for example I zero first hash down at 300. Let the others lay where they will. At rocky MTN or blue ridge I will at times zero at 400 second hash down. In this thinking you let the other distances lay where they may. I used to think 300 yards was a difficult shot. Now..not so much. With my 77 at 2650 fps and a 400 yd zero on the 2 mil hash in my 18 inch jp my 1 mil hash is just barely off at 300. I'd rather be dead nuts at 400 than 300. As far as 100 or 200 with the main reticle I never worry much on the within 3 inch impacts. It's close enough and targets big enough it rarely matters. If small skinny Sammie's I still know where it hits and adjust accordingly Bets
  18. First world problems no doubt!!! Kidding...kinda :-) On a serious nite does cheely do this nitride for others or h and m direct? Bets
  19. Dustin You are a good dude. I met you at rockcastle international.... All the things you are told here are from dudes with the dedication and money to put things thru their paces beyond what you and I could conceive. Here's the deal. Jp makes the best barrels for the money...otherwise the AMU and others wouldn't be running them. They can run whatever wins!!! That answers that!! As far as length you have said multiple times 14.5 is what you want. Get it!!! As far as the acr see my above comments...if it was the answer people with a lot more money and time than us would be running them. It's America!!! You made it free!! Run the acr and jp barrel. It's what you want. That being said if you want your equipment to never hold you back it's not the best choice. I was told once by a top competitor at some point if you are serious you will practice and practice and your equipment will wash out in the end. It will be the same for you...it was for me. If it's just for fun do what makes you happy!! Bets
  20. I've just never much seen the need I guess...I have a LW contour jp barrel and have shot a FEW stages with lots of hoser stuff before long range but it doesnt happen much. Also the point of better shooters shooting faster splits making the barrel heat faster is really a moot point. If I shoot the hoser portion in 10 seconds and you shoot it in 20, the thermal effect on the barrel will likely be little in that 10 seconds longer shooting provided the same number of rounds JP also cyrogenically treats their barrels and because of this I have seen maybe a .5 MOA shift from cold to hot. There are few shooters who can see that performance from a six power scope in a 3 gun rifle positon??? I attend 6-8 major 3 gun matches a year and have yet to see a stage where I expended more than 60 rounds of rifle. I am sure there are stages where it happens, but few stages I have seen require more than 50 if shot perfectly. At a stage where 50 is the required and no par time, it is possible to shoot much more depending on skill level and how long you like to go to war on targets you are not hitting. I prefer to spend my money on ammo and practice so I dont have too. Not trying to sound snotty and I have no dog in this fight. Its one of those things that if it makes you happy, do it. There are few things in life so cheap that will accomlish that. Bets
  21. Another thing you can do when reloading 9 and 40 is setup the press with the 40 shellplate. Then to load 9 just use the 9 locator buttons with the 40 plate. I have done this for 3 years now. When switching you can either just change toolheads or buy/make settable lock rings and change 9 to 40 and back in a matter of minutes. Works very well That being said I still like precision 223 on a 550. The process is more manual and I "feel" more precise. After completely disassembling the powder measure and polishing and deburring every part the powder touches I am able to load Varget or VV N140 with drops that vary by plus or minus .1 grains. I use a Lyman M die in station 1 to barely kiss the case mouth open eliminating the need to chamfer and deburr. Drop powder in 2, seat in 3, and crimp in 4 only enough to take out the tiny amount of belling caused by station one. With Sierra matchking bullets in 69 or 77 grain and with no brass prep other than tumbling and trimming on the dillon trimmer, I get .5 to .75 MOA ammo out to 500 yards in my JP with a six power scope. Loading 300 an hour taking my time is plenty fast enough in that application. For blaster ammo I get Hornady ammo cheap thru my job but when I make blaster is usually on the 1050 with a bulletfeeder. That setup is a MACHINE. 1000 and hour not even trying 223 and easily that and more in 9 or 40. With a small child and a wife that lets me travel to major matches monthly during the season, I certainely try to spend as little time reloading as possible Bets
  22. Thermal dissapators do nothing to accuracy if they don't hit the handguard other than have some menial affect on barrel heating up. Ironically, the better shooter you become the less you need it. Personally I stay away from them it's added weight for little benefit Bets
  23. Has anyone gotten the refund response? I sent emails to the staff at the website as well.
