  1. Proofs carbon fiber barrels are just the stainless barrels they make that are cut down and carbon wrapped to save weight and add some stiffness....They will have much the same accuracy potential...ie awesome
  2. I run the m4-72 by Precision Armament...I also run a piston gun in the pro series and may be the only one left doing so....I will say this, when it comes to recoil mitigation, and thats not substantial in 223 anyway, the M4-72 makes .15 splits at 40 yard targets easily done with full power loads and a piston gun with heavy carrier. Its all I will run from now on
  3. This match immediately became on my must attend 2016 list. Great stages and even better people across the board. Lots of help from many members of the Army meant little reset, lots of afternoon off time for naps or whatever, efficiently ran, great food on sight for nearly free, set on Ft Benning with full auto stage guns and a working tank on stages. Put on by some of the best shooters in the country and themed stages full of props. I just can't say enough!!! To all the AMU thank you so much for all the work...I'm counting down to next year already and I have shot nearly every major match in the country!!!
  4. 11 years old...without pics and what you have said 2500ish is all I would pay
  5. i will be running a delta point on a traditional arredondo mount. Looking for barrel length/comp/popple hole combinations
  6. Could I get some expert opinions on the best 9mm open setup for running ammo in the 150 PF range or above. Mostly for 3 gun. I need to buy the parts and my builder will build anything but I am new to open and especially good barrel/comp/slide weight setups for this application Thanks Jacob
  7. Are most running a 5.4 bull barrel threaded then?
  8. I am currently in the process of having an open gun built and am looking to shoot in both 3 gun maybe around 140 PF and occasionally in uspsa major. I am looking for comp/barrel/popple hole setup suggestions so that I can run both and have a consistent returning dot Thanks Jacob
  9. Hayes Custom is putting out some amazing guns....They built the Benelli team 9mm guns for this year. After seeing the first one I am ordering another for backup and a single stack....heck maybe an open....Fit perfectly, great crisp trigger, accurate as heck, and beautifully machined. Plus Aaron and Ben are salt of the earth
  10. Ha. I was asking for topics you want covered Jesse!! I got your pro!!! Jacob
  11. I didn't know they offered Mil/LE pricing so even better. I just ordered two more and I hear a 308 version is also in the works. I have been very impressed to say the least!!!
  12. Primary Weapon Systems also sells a matched upper and lower that I used to complete a 308 build. Very tight fit with no play and you can build exactly how you want. Very reasonably priced too!!!!
  13. Straight from precision armament is where I did. I bought the DLC finish and love it.
  14. Just wanted to chime in after seeing another test of several comps regarding recoil reduction and this one took the win again. I ordered one, put it on my PWS 16" piston gun, zero'd it, and took it to the 3 Gun Nation Southern Regional where I was able to pull off the match win. This thing is small, fairly quiet, and just plain works!!! Interested to see others input on it. It certainly worked for me!!!
  15. Ladies and Gents Currently writing an article for 3 Gun Nation Magazine on improving your match placement. It will discuss topics such as gear, stage breakdown, mental preparation, etc. I would like some input on topics you would like to see covered. I may not have all the answers but if I don't, I will certainly find those who do!!!!
  16. PM Mark username MarkCO...He knows all things shotgun!!! Jacob
  17. Both eyes open, all 3 guns, all the time... Really helps with eye fatigue on long range rifle or extended durations as well. And at times my long range rifle can be extended duration...even on stages
  18. I like my 77 SMK going 2650 to 2700. For that I prefer Varget around the 24.0 range or slightly more but start low and work your way up. Now all I shoot for long range stuff is Black Hills M262 OTM. That stuff is pinhole accurate, comes out of my 16" PWS at 2650, and hits like Thor's hammer Jacob
  19. The suppressor will likely require you to turn the gas down some if you run it full time. It definitely increases dwell time from what I see Jacob
  20. I have tried all the comps mentioned and it is not more concussive than the PWS or PRI. About the same as the PWS I would say. Definitely less than a Titan. That thing makes my teeth chatter. Tommy and crew have done an excellent job with the new 3 gun models and gear!!! Jacob
  21. Kurt The stages look awesome!!!!! Can't wait to get down there and lay it down...For those of you who have not been to this range...Its a must shoot/see place to be. Very awesome people and range layout Jacob
  22. As one of Invictus Practical's sponsored shooters I can say this. The gear is top notch, best I have tried. The customer service tops that...and that's saying something!!!!!!
  23. There just is no better pistol I have shot yet....period....Brandon is attentive....everyone at the shop is awesome. When I come thru town we have lunch every time. Any small problem I have had garnered a return shipping label that day and the gun back in my hands in 5-7 business days. And I shoot them HARD !! Like 20-25k a year with minimal maintenance and every condition from -10 to 110 as I live in great Nebraska!!!!
