  1. The vm barrels are notorious for not shooting poa. I've had good luck bending one and adding a rear sight to another. It's been frustrating to say the least.
  2. Not a first focal plane fan.
  3. That's not quite what I said. The roulette cap fits on the plus 2 Nordic extension. The plus one that comes with the Carbon tube doesnt have an end cap at all, so the roulette won't work. I don't have any pictures, it looks like any other cap, but longer.
  4. Mark, Can you confirm that option 2 here is what needs to be ordered to extend the Carbon tube? I'll answer my own question for anyone else that may be considering this. I ordered the Nordic plus two extension and it fit fine making it a 10+1 gun. Now the added bonus. I had a couple Roulette tactical extended caps on my bench so I swapped out one of those caps with the Nordic cap that came with the extension and voila, I now have the capability of a 9+1, 10+1 or 11+1 depending on the match or my mood.
  5. The shell latch is pretty tight from the factory. Take it out and smooth out the rough edges at the tip. You can also open up the forward small half moon shaped openings with a small round file. Polish up the exterior surface and you will be good to go. Also take note of the factory mag spring. You can cut several coils off and it will make loading much easier. Careful not to cut too much, or you won't have enough tension to push out the last shell in the mag tube. Replacing the factory spring with a Nordic spring is a good idea anyway. The synthetic model does not come with the comb inserts, overmolded grips, or the adjustment kit. Charging handle should pull right out. As for the bolt release. It's a simple drill and tap. If you are not comfortable on that, someplace like C-Rums will do it for a small fee and fast turnaround. Release out of your gun and send the part in. You're the first person I've ever heard say that could not tell a difference in recoil. Maybe the soft cheekpiece in the Tactical makes a difference in perceived recoil.

  7. I don't understand how the end cap would work. The threads are on the inside of the cap. Looks like I'll try door number two.
  8. I've been to Nordic's website and can't figure this out. If you want to add a longer cap/extension, which one are you supposed to order?? I've got the 8+1 and I want the plus 2.
  9. They also have a new qd sling mount that attaches to the handgaurd. Very cool.
  10. There is a small metal tab under the fiber optic. Pull the sight out and raise the tab a little and the rod should stay in.
  11. Nice shooting, and great video. You must have spent a lot of time putting that together.
  12. No, just a right wing extremist. j/k. lol nice tag.
  13. Your powder may be "bridging" in the powder funnel. If you look closely into your jug of powder you may find some exceptionally long pieces. If one of these gets stuck longways in the top of the funnel it will prevent powder from dropping. It happened to me.
  14. Wow, I've never seen people be so rude on this site. I thought I was on ar15.com for a second.. Let me clarify my post. MY Edge, and others I've spoken with, have had problems with the shoulder sticking before it is fully chambered, regardless of oal. It's got nothing to do with loading practice, it's the size and profile of the bullet. I've used MG, PD, Bayous, Speer, and black bullets with absolutely no problems, but it will choke on lead. Been loading many years with success including lead in all sorts of calibers and weights.
  15. I recently discovered a mix of 124's and 115's mixed together in a bag of free samples from a vendor. This was from a vendor tent at a major match. Not really happy about that.
  16. I just scrape the big chunks off a couple times a year.
  17. If I find a high primer. I push it in all the way. With a hammer.......JUST KIDDING. I put it on the press and seat it properly. But, I'm just another guy on the internet.
  18. Mine doesn't always lock back. But I don't remember the last time I went dry on the rifle in a match. I run the lmos, I'd never considered the relationship there.
  19. 1. It does not say Benelli on the side. 2. It does not say Remington on the side. 3. It does not say FN on the side.
  20. They need to work on their quality control. I would start with the barrels, the slug poi is awful. I saw another one where it cracked at the weld near the piston housing. On the rib of one of my barrels, it looks like they never finished the top. It looks like a V notch all the way down the rib. I handled another VM at Superstition last weekend that sounded like it had rocks in the recoil spring and the action was VERY gritty. Brand new gun and it was choking constantly. If they can't keep issues like this from cropping up, the momentum they have been gaining will fade quickly. With that said, I love my VM and it has been extremely reliable.
  21. Hands down the most accurate bullet I've ever used.
  22. I went through a 5 gallon bucket of turned in ammo. Old, dirty, miscellaneous junk and the ONLY round that had a problem was a 7/8 oz. featherweight load that sounded more like a squib than a shotgun blast. It stovepiped. Everything else was perfect. Lots of split brass on the ground. And the gun was dirty as hell. How long has it been since Sears sold ammo???
