Update: Eric's site states that his online store will have them available October 17th. I am very interested in getting one, I my have to resort to having a friend in Europe buy it and ship it to me after he spray paints the muzzle international orange.

What holster are you guys using for the Hunter?

Thank you all for the replies. I will keep the abandonment issue in mind. However the longer range capability and accuracy on every stage seems to outweigh an occasional stage issue. I have never competed in 3 gun so my opinion is basically "bench racing" LOL. I handled a Witness in .45 a few months ago and it felt perfect in my biggish hands. I had been considering a Para but really like the feel and frankly the look of the Match/ Hunter. Greg

I am getting my shopping list together for gear for 3 gun competition next year. One of my goals is to buy the right tools the first time around. After doing a lot of research both online and hands=on I have narrowed the pistol down to a EAA/Tanfoglio pistol. I intend to compete in Heavy Metal division so I was going to go with a Match .45, however the longer sight radius of the Hunter is intriguing. I looked thru all of the 3 gun rule books and I can't find any reason I couldn't use a Hunter in HM competition. While I grew up shooting 1911's the feel of the Match trigger in addition to the 10+1 capacity led my to a Match pistol. The one thing I'm not sure of is the longer barrel of the Hunter going to make fast transitions more difficult as my skill level gets to the point were it would make the difference between a win and a loss.
