  1. Scores https://practiscore.com/results/new/42914 The Area 4 Championship is a wrap and we hope everyone enjoyed themselves and the awesome weather. Congratulations to all of the winners, John, Shane, Jacob, Chris Comer, Tim and Max! See you all on the range again soon.
  2. The match is on the ground and the staff and sponsors are ready to shoot tomorrow. Big thanks to our major set up crew in ironing out the details of the stages, hanging targets, painting steel, moving heavy props etc. It is going to be a great match and we look forward to seeing everyone soon.
  3. With the match registration closed I am not sure you can until the staff match is over and scores are posted. But I could be wrong....
  4. The range will be open until 7p.m. the week of the match so make sure to plan ahead.
  5. Yeah what's the story on Mink?
  6. What did you fix and what was the issue? I have a 9mm 2.0 and all my mags drop free. Even the old ones from 1.0 m&p.
  7. Ran 100 rounds through the gun in stock configuration on Tuesday. Very accurate with the loads I use in my stock ii. I took off the safeties, installed the frame plugs. I also installed the apex .45 sear, which made a difference in trigger pull alone. I don't have a gauge but I would say it dropped the pull by at least a pound or more. The trigger feels pretty nice now but still has a little rough spot to it due to the striker block. I am installing the sights and the apex striker block today so that should clean up the trigger nice and smooth as I can tell that is where the rough spot is. I had to order the guide rod separately from the rest of the stuff due to only sss having a 5" tungsten guide rod and going to use a 12# wolff recoil spring. Hope to get out and test that next week as that stuff won't be here until then.
  8. The perfs on the comptac targets really stands out and was reasonable on shipping.
  9. I talked to Apex yesterday about what I could use in my 2.0 and they stated at this point the only thing they could recommend was to replace the factory sear with the .45 sear and the striker pin block with their block. They said they were still working on a kit for it and hoped to have one available soon. So to update mine I ordered the sear and striker block, warren tactical black rear and fiber optic front, 12# wolf recoil spring and the frame plugs from S&W. Should have everything on and ready to go on Thursday but I am going to go test it out today as is and see how it runs etc with my reloads that I use in my Stock II's at 131pf.
  10. Went ahead and picked up a 2.0 5"FDE model to play around with. Hope to get it out and test it next week, working weekends sucks!
  11. We are now past the refund date, so if you need to withdraw or do not show we appreciate the donation to our section match. We have 137 competitors with 2 open spots on Saturday and 11 spots available on Friday. Get signed up!
  12. Did the reset trick and it seemed to work but I haven't had a chance to take it out and test it shooting wise. Will do that this weekend but that's a good tip to know, thanks!
  13. Probably just weak, work on your grip alice!
  14. We are averaging about 50 shooters a month. We start at 10 and are finished by 130ish with everything torn down and put away. 5 squads of 10 usually +/- a few, everyone pitches in and helps score, paste, reset, and we have plenty of experienced R.O.s that help run squads. The hardest part is to get the shooters to help put stuff back on the trailer we use instead of just tearing down and putting things on the sides of the bays. That leaves about 4 of us to go around with the trailer and pick it all up. I know everyone is always in a hurry to leave, go eat, drink beer etc but a few extra minutes of help would speed things up even more.
  15. I believe he sold it but could be wrong.
  16. July 4th was the deadline. It's in the last section of my post above "P.S. one last thing"
  17. Greetings all! Things are really coming together for this year’s Walther Arms Area 4 Championship this September 7th through the 10th. We have 12 exciting stages and the most awesome staff ready to hit the ground at the United States Shooting Academy in Tulsa Oklahoma. I trust that reservations and preparations have begun on your side as well, but I wanted to remind everyone that the fine folks at the Holiday Inn in downtown Tulsa have some incredible deals for us to take advantage of. Please follow the link below if you haven’t made lodging reservation yet. They still have plenty of room at the match rate, which is up to 60% off their normal nightly rate. https://www.holidayinn.com/redirect?path=hd&brandCode=hi&localeCode=en%AEionCode=1&hotelCode=TULMS&_PMID=99801505&GPC=ARE&viewfullsite=true The shirts are being prepared by Techwear and will be ready to order any day now. They are great looking and you know the Techwear folks make high quality, long lasting products! I will post on the website the link for ordering match shirts in the next couple days. Stages have been approved and will be built as close as possible to the approved drawings. The round count is: 285 +Chrono for 293. Stage 1 – 32 Stage 2 – 32 Stage 3 – 12 Stage 4 – 12 Stage 5 – 30 Stage 6 – 32 Stage 7 – 30 Stage 8 – 26 Stage 9 – 21 Stage 10 – 26 Stage 11 – 12 Stage 12 – 20 Don’t let the small round counts on a few of those fool ya! Weather can be difficult to predict the first couple weeks of September. It is likely going to be warm with a chance of rain overnight or in the morning at least one day. Not to be a downer, but it seems to always happen. We will try and avoid bagging targets at all cost, but make sure to pack some rain gear and some heavily studded shoes for traction. Logistically, we will start shooting the staff match on Thursday. Check-in will be available during the staff match and then you may walk stages as they are available. Please make sure that you sign the USSA waiver prior to entering any of the ranges. If you are on a 100 series squad (101-110), you will shoot all-day Friday starting at 8:00am. For the Weekend squads, we will be shooting 6 stages plus chrono (after stage 12) per day. 200 series squads will start Saturday at 8:00am and will wrap up before noon on Saturday, then start again at 12:30pm Sunday. 300 series squads will start at 12:30pm Saturday and wrap up the match starting at 8:00am Sunday. Staff/Sponsors – All day Thursday 101-110 – All Day Friday 8:00am Start 201-210 – Saturday Morning (8am) and Sunday PM (12:30pm start) 301-310 – Saturday PM (12:30pm start) and Sunday AM (8:00am) We will be having a short awards ceremony Sunday after shooting and present awards to all of the division winners. Class awards will be mailed after the match so make sure your email information is correct. Prizes are given as you complete the match, in random order. Please check out the website, as we will start posting information regarding the match much more frequently as we draw nearer. And check out the Sponsors Page. These companies are going way above and beyond for the match and getting all of you all some really great stuff!! Thanks for making this year’s match an incredible one! Mike Pinto/Chad Stanton Match Directors PS - One last thing, we are past the published refund date of July 4th.
  18. I've had to bend the bars on the charging area a few times and that wasn't the issue this time. I didn't know about the reset trick, will try it and see if that works. I emailed them through their support area, which they should respond to. But I may try calling next week.
  19. We have been using Pocket Pro 2 for the past year. However one of them suddenly died and the screen went blank, it will beep and come on but will not record shots and display them. Contacted the company with zero response. I just bought 6 CED 7000 Timers to use at our Sectional so we'll see how that goes. The guys at DAA/CED were very helpful and responsive to communication when I had a few questions concerning the timers.
