  1. Wouldn't a lighter firing pin (with the same springs) actually make the problem worse?
  2. Oops! I forgot that you want to use lighter bullets for this. I was thinking heavier for longer range shooting, but that's not the way it works for varmint hunting. If you need more range, you go to the bigger gun.
  3. I mark all of my ammo after I check it with a case gauge (except for carry ammo). If it gauges okay, then it gets a cross of red and black sharpie across the head. Yeah, I gauge my factory ammo. You'd be surprised at how many rounds won't gauge too.
  4. If in doubt, go with the #4! I use #4 and a modified choke in my 1100.

Apparently "poorly written" and "ambiguous" and "illogical" don't really matter AS LONG AS WE CAN STOP THE GAMERS! WE MUST STOP THE GAMERS AT ALL COSTS!
  6. Holy Crap! I'd be afraid to go after something like that with a big, honkin' gun from a long distance! You, sir, have cojones grande! How did it taste?
  7. I'll try it as soon as I can. Gunruner had us do an El Prez-like rifle stage last summer, but we did it at 100 yards instead of ten. We also did the turn. You had your loaded rifle on a table behind you while facing uprange, turned, snatched the rifle, then did the rest. We did the same thing with shotgun slugs at 50 yards.
  8. We shot the El Prez as our classifier today. BigDave shot a B-class Limited10 score. I on the other hand tallied an unimpressive 54 points in 9.04 seconds. That's not very close to my best from last year. I'd like to be moved from C-Class to G-Class (G for Glacier). I think the three second threshold may be a bit beyond my reach for now.
  9. It was raining when we got to the range, and it rained through the whole match, then it stopped while we were tearing down the stages and didn't start again. It was in the low 40s or high 30s, so it was uncomfortable for me. The normal guys must have been suffering! Our luck just isn't very good weatherwise this year.
  10. A Clark Gator with a 1-8 or 1-7 twist barrel would be awesome if you can wait until they do a run with the faster twists (the standard is 1-9).
  11. Bluegrass is GINORMOUS! I think it's farther from the front entrance to the area where the 3-Gunners shoot than it is from my house (in west central Indiana) to the entrance!
  12. A couple of days ago, the weather weasels were predicting our rain would not arrive until tomorrow late (Sunday). Now they are saying it will start tonight (Saturday). I pushed to get our match held tomorrow based on being able to beat the rain before it arrives! D'OH!
  13. Apparently I've moved up to GM in the EnosVerse Posting Division.
  14. You could not be more wrong, My Two Meter Friend! E- VIL.
  15. I'm guessing that if you like to shoot stuff that moves under its own power, it doesn't get much better than Africa!
  16. Thanks, Zak! That means the ammo is loade the opposite of mil-spec 5.56 vs. commercial .223 (the military is higher pressure). I wonder why?
  17. Libertarian my patootie! Erik Warren is a freakin' liberal-a** socialist-statist poop haid! That's just downright evil. EricW is more grouchy than he is evil.
  18. Try the Navy too. USMC JAGs work for the Navy anyway, you just won't get a uniform that is quite as spiffy.
  19. Oh, please. My mother is THE toughest chick who ever walked this Earth. She made her own knife (from scratch) just to maximize stabbing power for her own unique style of stabbing. Ask BigDave. He knows!
  20. Matches are my "practice" too. C Limited, Limited-10, D Open I did dry fire practice maybe twice last year. This year, none so far!
  21. Logic? LOGIC? LOGIC? My sides! My sides! It hurts! My sides!
