  1. I've done 20 ... no problems. No regurgitating or excess nausea. Tne was child's play. This was done back in the college days when Burger King would put burgers on sale for $0.10 each. It was an economy thing. I can't do the training anymore, though, because it's Just Not Good For Me.

    That's why I don't carry my 10mm Glock anymore!
  3. In the eating contests, skinny people usually have an advantage because they don't have as much body pushing against their stomach or fat on the inside taking up valuable eating space. I'm not saying it wouldn't make me sick to do it, but I the thing in my brain that tells you that you're "satisfied" or sated is broken in my head. I feel pressure, but that's about it. That last bite tastes as good as the first! This is, of course, a very bad thing, but it's also why I think I could make a good run at that burger. I'd just have to pre-eat a little. You can't eat properly on an empty stomach.
  4. I'll bet I could eat that thing if you removed most of the garden-grown accoutrements. I'll be needing quite a bit of ketchup, though. I'm a dipper. BTW ... for those of you who live where Jack-in-the-Box exists ... do they still have those awesome breakfast croissants that are real croissants (and not hamburger buns vaguely reminiscent of croissant like Burger King) with the onion-powder-infused mayonnaise?
  5. AE223 55gr comes in to varieties lately ... the original is Federal brass with the FC stamp and .223 on the case head with some 55gr bullet that is different from the M193 projectile (thicker jacket for one thing). Lately some lots are in Lake City 5.56 brass (LC head stamp with NATO cross) using the same bullet they use for M193. I don't know which would be more accurate, but I'll bet they are different in most guns. In either case, whacking a plate at 900 yards is very impressive! Heck, the idea of shooting at 900 yards has me salivating. I have no idea if I could hit anything, but I sure would like to try.
  6. Don't look at me this time! I'm innocent!
  7. BAHAHAHAHA!!! That's how I introduced myself to Julie. Told her "Joey says hi." She put "Joey" together with "rhino" and, bam!, something to talk about. rhino, dude, you're gonna be the common thread of the Enosverse. Every match someone's gonna mention you. Which should theoretically work in my favor! The more people who mention me, the more often a certain Ms. Awesome will be inclined to think about Moi. Eventually she will realize that I am her destiny, and all will be well in the EnosVerse. Whoa! I think I dozed at the keyboard for a moment and awakened while I was typing ...
  8. Short Round's mind and mine work on the same wavelength!
  9. I believe the newcomer, Barlin, answered your first question! "500 Quatloos on the newcomer!" As to the latter ... well, it might if you are prone to worrying over unresolved lonzenge issues from your childhood.
  10. I got to say "lozenge" aloud ... many times ... when I was at BigDave's house yesterday. I don't think he was amused, nor did he join me.
  11. I know what my left hand is doing. It's on my belly asap to get out of the way, lest I blow a hole through it with my pistola.
  12. Of course, it's pretty obvious neither Rommy nor Doyle would let Harper touch them, even if that's part of why he created them. He foolishly gave them a free will! HAHA! I agree that the last couple of season have been nearly incomprehensible. I love the show and the characters, but it's just too hard to understand what's happening. It reminds of the way "Babylon 5" confused me (before it went to cable and I could no longer see it). But I can forgive because so much of it so cool. And it's hot babe central, albeit with far too little of my homegirl, Lexa Doig. I think this will be the last season for "Andromeda." It's also the last season for "Enterprise." Ironically, the shows they are doing now are much, much better than the crap they served us last year. If they'd done as well earlier as they do now, they might not have been cancelled so soon. Oh ... Stargate Atlantis is excellent, but the dialog and "cleverness" of the SG1 is still far, far ahead of it. The way they chose to work fan commentary into the show this past week (with the baber from Indiana and his friends critiquing his stories) was a very original move.
  13. I dont think this response has anything at all to do with USPSA or IPSC. USPSA is a non-issue in this scenario. It's 100% a reaction to the new IDPA rules and how they were "revealed."
  14. Re: VFGs ... I think they are most useful for light weight guns with carbine length gas systems. If you have a rifle that doesn't move when you shoot, I think there is less benefit, but for a superlight carbine, it helps you minimize dot movement. I don't have one (I hang onto the magwell for the same reason), but I think it might be a little faster for transitions than my current hold and still help me pull back tightly enough to minimize movement of the sights.
  15. Your words ... I do not understand them ...
  16. Excellent point, and that settles it once and for all! I was incredibly right and you were absolutely wrong. Case closed, junior!
  17. Ah, yes! The pungent aroma of ammonia! That could be what my "game" is missing! Those Swedish bad boys make Ricola seem rather pedestrian by comparison! Carina ... would it work to just use an aqueous ammonia solution as a mouthwash until I can lay my hands on some of those Swedish Wonder Lozenges? Vlad ... when they soothe the sore throat, do they make your tongue numb as well? I prefer lozenges that do not cause me to lose sensation in the tongue-al area. This is why I feel Sucrets, Chloroseptic, and similar products with benzocaine (or similar local anesthetic) are a bit too much for any but the most heinously sore throat. A proper lozenge must tread the line between comfort and excess anesthesia! Is a "cough drop," in fact, a sub-category of lozenge? I maintain that the answer is "Yes!" My current favorite is the Hall's Sugar Free Citrus Flavor. It's highly functional, yet somewhat less medicinal than the other flavors in the Hall's line of products.
  18. My best at 10 yards with my S&W 5904 is 1.4. I've done 1.1 with my 1911 at the same distance, although I rarely get below 1.5 now. I use nearly identical holsters (kydex belt holsters). The difference is that it takes me a bit longer to get my finger into position and work the trigger with the double action gun, so it's not the draw per se, but firing the first shot that takes longer.
  19. Whoa! The text quoted above is FREAKIN' ART WORK! I salute you, sir or madam! Actually, a tendency for licking exotic amphibians could explain quite a bit . . . . . . I'll have to consider that further. I am, however, in your debt. I was ignorant ... savagely ignorant of true nature of the term "lozenge" and its original dependence on shape. Your information led me to this: http://www.websters-online-dictionary.org/definition/lozenge Originally, I had intended on completing Great Moments in Lozenge History, a sequel to the seminal tome on the subject, Lozenge! on my own, but perhaps I should consider a collaborative effort.
  20. That Malaysian 5.56mm in the white boxes is really good stuff. It's M193 spec, fragments at appropriately velocities (which is meaningless for 3-Gun, obviously), and shoots well in most guns. Does that store STILL have some? I haven't seen it for years. Anyway ... what I do is keep an eye out for the sales and specials. When any of the following brands get to $3 per box of 20 in 1000 round lots, I get some. American Eagle 55gr (AE223) UMC 55gr PMC 55gr (should be okay now that minor is only 150 pf) IN addition to the vendors above, Natchez Shooters Supply is usually a good source, as are Wholesale Hunter, and several others. The best place to find good deals on ammo is AR15.com in the Ammunition Forum.
  21. I have a Leupold Vari-X II 1-4x20mm on my Colt that is my 3-Gun rifle. I will admit that I have been using a red dot (on other guns) lately since the longest shots at our club matches have been in the 35-40 yard range. When I do "real" 3-Gun, however, it's the Leupold.
  22. The marks are supposed to be calibrated for M855 ball ammo too.
  23. After having 22 people glare at me for two hours in the rain last week, I decided to let the rain win this weekend. No match tomorrow ... imminent mutiny averted! Whew!
