  1. I'd pay cash, folding money to see that, Sunny. I'd also like to see Vanessa Marcil in similar circumstances. HEY! Did you see the episode a few weeks ago where they awakened in bed next to each other? I only saw part of it, but the possibilities made my puny mind smoke and sputter with exertion. That show is like Hot Chick Central!
  2. For what it's worth, I think I can reload with my single stacks faster than my Para now that I have S&A mag wells on them. I have an EGW mag well on heavy Para. I suspect the key for me is that I can manipulate skinny magazines with my Billy Barty-like hands significantly easier than I can Para mags. If we had to do IDPA-style reloads, the single stacks would be easier for just about everyone!
  3. Of course, a mere strap is what a lot of people actually want (or need) since they don't use a proper sling for stabilizing their shooting. They just need something to secure their weapon to their body and/or to carry it more easily. Kind of like a lanyard for their long gun.
  4. Hmmm... Will the match be held on the Ft. Benning property? What sort of hoops will we have to jump through to bring our match-related equipment there?
  5. Pre- or post- "augmentation"? I think she looked better before she got the big, plastic hooters.
  6. Thanks! It's also a good reminder that we must never let anyone who is even remotely like the "leader" we had then get into the same position in the future. Like his wife. Never forget!

    3 Second El Prez

I was going to answer "Me!" in the poll ... then I awakened! Hey ... any chance we could put an expiration date on a pool? That way those of us who may (or may not) choose to bet on "Never" can rake-in their Las Vegas earnings when the time is up. How about ... two years?

    SHOT Show

Did they give the Rescomp guys a call and ask them about the one they used to make years ago for STI/S-V?
  9. I'd like to get my trusty old 1100 modified for "thumb pinch free" loading, but I don't have a backup to use while it's in the shop!

Monster ... thanks for sharing about your experiences. I'd post a summary of my grad school trials and tribulations, but I don't think the BEnosVerse has enough disk space for chapter 1! Since you really want to teach economics ... have you considered teaching at a junior college, technical school, or even high school? I think you'll find that many kids in junior colleges are very motivated to learn, which makes your job much easier.
  11. Amen, Brother G-L! I am in the process of finishing a review of the belt he built for me. I'll post it here when it's done (if I can!). Another thing about the Belt Man ... his prices are significantly more reasonable than most of the other custom leather workers. His base price is what originally attracted my attention. The quality of the product and customer service is what has made me a loyal customer.
  12. OKay ... here's the update. The cold now has me no longer caring that my elbow is whacky. I'm hoping to breath through my nose by the weekend. My elbow damn well better appreciate what I'm experiencing just to save him a little wear and tear while he gets his act together!
  13. Say more! Is this a movie in the works??
  14. I saw another Para-Ordnance in the movies yesterday! In "Assault on Precinct 13," Ethan Hawke was sporting a Para-Ordnance P14.45 LDA stainless. The movie was better left for DVD rental, and I loathe Ethan Hawke, but seeing a cool gun is always fun. They showed the end of the barrel a few times and it looked HUGE! Also, now out on DVD ... "Resident Evil: Apocalypse" ... Milla Jovovich sports (among other ordnance) a couple of P14.45 Limited pistolas, which she naturally shoots with both hands at the same time (thank you John Woo!). Of course, she is a mutant in the story, so it's possible she had individual sight pictures with each eye at the same time!
  15. Well, the cold I suspected I was getting over the weekend is now kicking my a** bigtime, so I'll be taking the rest of the week off. SiGGy ... I'll do my best, but it'll get dicey when I need to brush my teeth or wash my hair. Actually, I suppose I could do my teeth lefty ... hmmm ...
  16. I saw John Carpenter interviewed on TV once and apparently they purposely made "Escape From LA" as cheesy and campy as possible. He was especially proud of the surfing scenes, which looked pretty much like every 1960s beach movie made! Gidget meets Snake Pliskin!
  17. I plead Basinger-induced Weakness! Heck, if I can forgive her for marrying and breeding with that asshat Alec Baldwin, I can forgive this movie pretty easily.
  18. Oh, all right! Saturday and Sunday were my regular days off, so I decided to stay home last night and tonight too. I'll probably resume on Thursday ... Actually, it's already feeling better, with the ice and resting it for four days straight now. It still feel "tight" when I flex the elbow, though. More ice and rest ...
  19. Team Bluegrass has the best gun cart ... but is it tactical ENOUGH?
  20. I was thinking of going down to Lexington and shooting with you guys this coming Sunday, but I have to fetch my parents from the airport!
  21. I snagged a couple of camel-back style water carriers over the summer by mail order (Campmor.com). I think I could be satisfied with just about any of them in terms of features, but I've found that none of them have shoulder straps long enough for my to wear the darned thing.
  22. It's got a single action trigger, so no-go in Production. Very nice gun, though!
  23. Thanks for the reply! Right now the only real difficulty I have is when my elbow is flexed almost all the way (I can't currently flex it 100% as far as I could a couple of weeks ago). I guess it's time to go see the orthopod! BTW ... I shot over 200 rounds today in practice match with no problems at all. Of course, it was 9mm in a 1911, so it's not really a test, but at least I'm not having any discomfort from gripping the gun or moving around.
  24. "Fallen" made it to the theaters, but it was a few years ago. For some reason, I have not yet watched it! I'll snag it tomorrow when I trade movies on my movie pass.
