  1. No love for GG&G? I went with an FLT for two reasons. It weighed less than a Larue SPR. I don't need to change scope ring diameters so less screws seemed better to me. But seriously has any one had issues with GG&G? I've never lost zero, and have never needed repeatability because I have a 1-4x that does everything I need...
  2. Dryfire until you can't get it wrong.
  3. I use something similar to this. They call it a calculator. And so do I. But what becomes cumbersome is the fact that our score is points/time which kinda clashes with the record time, record hits while pasting work flow. Also, ta calculator won't store my HF for a given stage with a time stamp and compare it to previous runs (kinda like your own classification system...) Sure, I do that all with paper right now, but it adds range time while I'm there and time away from family once I get home to track my progress. What I'd rather see when I come home is just a brake down of what drills I improved upon, and which I need to work harder on to guide my dry fire practice. Also, Why do more and more matches use Practiscore?
  4. The app should help you score. Like you tap in a time, then Alpha, Alpha, Charlie, Bravo, Mike, and your HF is stored with a date time stamp.
  5. I like 10-8's u-notch with a brass bead front. Gives a nice ghost ring effect, and the brass bead won't ever break. And it's as accurate as any straight black sights if you do your part.
  6. That's a pretty good guess... but isn't the bullet still accelerating in that 1"? I mean if you were to really nitpick the 'correct' answer Forget it, some guy already did it above...
  7. I suppose if it bugs you, you can try and fix it. I had a OD 17 with the same issue. It held a glockmiester plug and I was shooting production, so I just left it alone. It will still shoot.
  8. Have a picture so we know what we are looking at?
  9. .45 GAP. Brass is as cheap, and less of a hassle to deal with.
  10. We get to shoot about 8 months of the year, so about 16. But I don't travel to matches, so there are some around my area that get one, sometimes two more per month...
  11. "My Glock gives me confidence to live my life." That is a bit much. If he gets confidence to live his life from a Glock ... Freaking sad as hell. Not family, not faith, but his GLOCK?! lol. Kind of offensive of Glock to even go there. Your logic is flawed. He didn't say "ONLY my Glock gives me confidence to live my life." Family, Faith, and Mastery of a subject are not mutually exclusive...
  12. You should take up endurance running... It's cheaper...
  13. Running Warehouse is having a sale on a bunch of shoes. You don't see the discount until you add it to your cart but the prices are pretty good on a number of great trail runners.
  14. Yeah... But have you seen the amount of marketing plastered on the side of dragster and its trailer? Even the army has its own drag racing team: And shooting team...
  15. Why not go revolver then? Yea not for me either. +1 on your reasons for Production
  16. That's how I feel. Most of our local matches shoot 5 stages most of the time, with special events being all 8. I think maybe having 5 of the standards and then a fun stage or two might make things a bit more interesting. Our club would much rather prefer 2 standard and 3 made up.
  17. I like Wilderness Tactical Belts and Safariland Holsters and Pouches.
  18. The splatter would shred the paper target pretty fierce if you are going to put it that close...
  19. They wouldn't be doing it if they didn't think it was advantageous. And having the mindset that you are doing something is advantage, well, that's an advantage in itself. That's it! We have to make a rule against confidence! Yeah, I'd feel confident too, that by breaking one "rule" I could buffalo or bully the RO in calling my "perfect double" a "TWO ALPHA!" I agree with the issue of this rule enforcement. It's not being enforced very well in some situations. I just didn't like the way you portrayed it as a "thought crime" rather than a rules infraction. The day when that kind of thought crime becomes outlawed is the day USPSA will no longer be freestyle shooting. You lost me there with the thought crime comment. I'm saying if I was a shooter and was pushing the envelope with my start stance I would be thinking "Ha! ha! Got one over on the RO. I wonder if I can get him to call a charlie an alpha instead??? Hee! hee!" "And having the mindset that you are doing something is advantage, well, that's an advantage in itself." There is no crime in thinking you have an advantage... even if you don't. The issue here should be Letter of the Rule and the justification for changing it, not the intention of any given shooter.
  20. I know it's late to the party, but my vote is for a 14.5" middy.
