Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Met Kyle Lamb .. This week and shot his M&P with a salient trigger ... Fell in love his shot just like a 1911 trigger. But I have never shot the Apex FSS trigger either .. Was trying to read up on it...Want to build a gun like lambs .. But not sure if I should just get the APEX FSS kit??? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated..... Reliability and light strikes are a big concern for me.: I'm not concerned with which is cheaper but which is best.... Has to work 100% Thanks
  2. The RMR sight technology is not there yet to take the beating of the slide movement. Hilton from 10-8 has done a lot of work with them. He has not gotten more then a couple thousand rounds out of them. He is working directly with Trijicon to do R&D on it. He has some write ups on his blog. I like fixed sights, but for what you want Dawson adjustable is the way to go.
  3. Sorry cant help I have never been to the Steel Challenge before. Can't wait
  4. If they add more sanctioned stages people can still gauge their performance against any one else that has shot the stage.
  5. I would like to see the major matches like the steel challenge and US steel national also have more variety not just the local match. Shoot eight stages but out say 25 or so sanctioned stages. The stages can be picked at random.
  6. I will be going. Any info you might need is on the SCSA website.
  7. While shooting a steel match this weekend many the people in our squad began to have a conversation about the eight stages of steel that we were shooting. The match consisted of the same eight stages that are found in the Steel Challenge and the US Steel National. A large consensus of the shooters stated they would like to see more variety of stage available to shoot. For example, if there were 24 or so sanctioned stages, a match could at random choose eight different stages for that match. This would add some variety and attract more shooters to a great sport. I am sure that we are not the first, nor the last, who would suggested something like this. I would hope the SCSA would check with their members to see if this would be a desired change. Steel matches is a fantastic way to introduce new and young shooters to the competitive shootings sports. I believe greater variety would translate to greater interest and participation. What do you think??
  8. All this information was already posted on 10-8 forum and here. Factory barrels, do to a slow twist rate shot 147 well. KKM shoots 115 and 124 very well. And in a week there will be another thread asking the same
  9. I really like MP9 once I got used to it. I didn't shoot it well at the beginning what I found was a distance 18 yards and out. I needed a lot of support hand. I would pull the trigger properly all the way through and bottom out the trigger and It would pull my shots to the right. if I use proper amount of support hand it was dead on. Took a bit of pratice but I am sold on it. good luck
  10. The KKM Will work fine. Always have other good shooters shoot the gun just to be sure.
