  1. I think I have a better chance of finding a leprechaun crapping in his pot of gold. Anyone seen any around?
  2. Rose Action Sports does. He did the work on Brian V. (Lead-Head) 1301 and it looks good! Also Hawkeye Ordnance has done one that someone shoots locally although I've not looked closely at it.

    1050 for 223

With the exception of trimming it, why is a 2 head process needed?Trimming and final neck sizing are what makes it 2 head process, and I would highly advise against trying to skip the trimming process. Wasn't planning skipping trimming, was planning on doing it with my giraud tool tri-way trimmer chucked into a drill press

Can you elaborate how you have each head set up? Thanks

  6. Is anyone using a 1050 for loading 223 ammo? If so what were you using before hand and was the switch worth the cost of the press. I get all my brass once fired LC that has the primer crimp and being able to do everything including the swage in one cycle of the press would be great. I realize the cost is above what it is in doing it in more than one cycle as I am now with brass prep, but it's more about what my time is worth.
  7. Not really, I've reasearched to the best that I can. Knowing which scopes are daylight visible by 3 gun standards isn't something that is easily googled, and I don't know that some people understand what most of us consider "daylight visible" since I've read plenty of posts of people talking about the Mtac/strike eagle etc are daylight bright. I can and have looked up plenty of weights listed online, but there are also scopes that I've never thought much of. The info I'm looking for is this, I got a new JP ultra light upper and I think that putting a Razor 1-6 on top of it defeats the purpose of having said upper. SO a scope that is anywhere in the magnification range 1-3,4,5,6 etc that is very light and is daylight bright would be ideal.
  8. 1-3, 1-4, 1-6. I define daylight visible as swaro, razor, firedot bright. Something I can run both eyes open on a sunny day
  9. Ok maybe not which is the absolute lightest, but what is out there for light scopes that are daylight visible. And I mean truly daylight visible.
  10. It can be done, but it's not optimal and will be slower. The field of view is reduced big time and with a true 1x with a bright dot (like the razor) you can run it both eyes open just like a traditional red dot.
  11. Not knocking the SE at all, but those that keep saying that it is daylight bright are way off in comparison to high end 3 gun scopes. It is nothing like a swaro or razor in terms of illumination. I would say maaaaaybe just a little brighter than a tac 30 but not by much if at all. It is an entry level scope and will get you into a 6x for under $400. Glass is pretty decent, but again not swaro or razor glass. Would I recommend anyone to get it; yes Would I recommend it over its big brother; only if money is the only deciding factor
  12. So you could get the JP lower with the trigger you want installed, or pay $60 more for the Vltor and then pay more money to have the JP trigger put in and pay even more money to change safety. Seems like a no brainer
  13. From what I've learned is that there is no consistency to it. I got charged for overweight once at 53 on the way out, put a gun I won in there and some other stuff and didn't get charged on the way home at 72. Be prepared to pay it, if they don't charge you it's a bonus.
  14. Just make sure to have a backup plan if you run out. Stuff is hard to find.
  15. The xs is not made to be used like a traditional front/rear. Pat Kelley notched one a while ago, the pics are on here or his Facebook somewhere. Doing it the way you mention you may not be able to see much of the front bead over the xs
  16. The carrier latch roll pin on a versamax has been walking out downward while firing. I replaced the pin with a new one and it does the same thing. Any remedies?
  17. A 28" barrel doesn't put you at too much of a disadvantage. A little extra weight for swinging-most won't notice that until your game is fairly far progressed. Slow in and out of ports? BS flag since 90% of guys are running tubes that go 6 inches past their 24" barrel. Get a tube, file the loading port and shoot the heck out of it for a year. By then you will have an idea of what you want/need
  18. They look awesome, but does it work better than my safariland 3 gun case and hunting pack for 1/4 the price???
  19. Worth it in some aspects, but not others. Do you shoot major matches or dabble in club level stuff? Tune it with your gas and it will shoot flatter. Is it worth the cost vs. shorter life? Only your wallet, ego, and skill set can tell that.
