    A Happy Glock!

You loading that thing with little blue pills? Bet it used to be an unhappy little 3 inch gun.
  2. Right now that bullet feeder is coverd by a no BS warranty. The "no" part goes away in a few years. Give your bullet feeder a big hug.
  3. I'm probably wrong here, but follow the reasoning; 1. The crimping die doesn't resize so why do you need to expand a straight walled case that won't be resized back? Maybe only to help hold the bullet up when seating. 2. If #1 is valid, all you need is to bell the case to prevent shaving and help hold the bullet up. 3. If 1&2 are good to go, and a 1050 funnel fits and more easily bells the case, then prob solved (maybe). Just MHO.
  4. dillon Looks for Covered Parking in Dillon's lot Group: Classified Posts: 1,032 Joined: 16-January 02 Gender:Male Location:Scottsdale,Az Posted 19 February 2007 - 09:44 AM On the 1050/Super 1050, the powder funnel is cone-shaped, and only flares the case mouth. The reason for this is that the case mouth is expanded at the swaging station on the 1050 series. This means there is less upward effort required to remove the funnel from the case, giving a smoother handle operation. The standard powder funnels will work on the 1050 series, but it increases handle effort a bit. Don't know if this is still true. Always wanted to know myself. Final answer Dillon?
  5. Thanks Ron00038. Should have said I want no lead exposed, so no soft points. Full encapsulated only.
  6. Have looked all over and can't find, so I'm turning to the forum for help. I would like to use a FMJ flat point 125 gr 38/357 bullet for reloading. Shooting out of a model 60 S&W. I use XTP JHP now but this is only for paper shooting and I like a nice punched hole. Also Hornady is expensive to throw at a paper bad guy. Thanks for any info.
  7. There are real, live people there? I thought they had little blue elves making Dillon reloaders.
  8. I found better SD indoors with the light kit than on a sunny outside range. The range I use is dark and the Pro Chrono won't work without it. It works great with it. It is a lot of setup time having to use the remote cord and a power cord for the light.
  9. I guess I should have been clearer ( no, say it's not so) I'm looking for the less prefect ones of us that can't see Dillon's perfection. I envy those prophets who achieve immediate Dillonhood. For the rest I guess It has to be a continued struggle to reach those rarefied heights. My people! Show me the results of those struggles to make your Dillon yours. PS to Grumpy: Presonalized is a prefect word for the high precentage of presons trying for presonal prefection.
  10. Something always comes up where you say I can do better and it will look cool. I can't figure how to post pics but I've added lights, better ways to load primer tubes, better ways to catch spent primers and other goodies. I admit a lot of my best ideas were snatched from the posters on this forum. I'm giving you a chance to brag. You know, custom handles, custom counters etc.I know some ideas would give Dillon a fit. On your mark, ready BRAG!!!(don't forget the pics)
  11. Ok sure, you've got Sarah's kid,the dancer, moving in. So that's Ok. The sceanery is breathtaking (The hills, canyons and desert not the Palin kid). Arizona is just too F***kin far from Ct. I hate waiting so long for parts. OK so heres what you will do. Start looking for a place to move the businesses into CT. You've got until mid 2011. Don't make me(and other NewEngland posters)come out there and have words. This is a done deal people so chop chop, Ive got some ordering to do.
  12. I guess the slide staying open on an empty mag wasn't a big enough clue. Bad day. Thanks for the lol.
  13. Sarge, if you can, use contact lenses and play with the power. You will have have minimum image size changes that can happen with trying monovision with glasses. Walsh, congrats on the successful surgery. Cross dominance can be difficult, although monovision contacts are a good answer as well. You mentioned glasses so,IMHO, a pair of bifocal shooting glasses with the bifocal placed on the top of your left lens are great. They are called double D bifocals. You just slightly shift your head up and down to change focus from the sight to the target. They have to be set for the right strength. Ask your Dr to help. Best if you can bring your weapon to the office for the measurement. Luck.
  14. I reloaded the brass and fired on D/A. No problems. The colt has a very light single action and it would seem that with the harder cci primers I'm getting light strikes. Thanks for the advise. Enjoy your turkeys.
  15. Walnut media from petco, red polishing rouge, and sml amount of mineral spirits. Fill 2/3 and add brass till the noise reduces. I clean brass like I clean my guns. Each and every time I shoot because it makes me feel good. Sort of show and tell for the soul.
  16. Sarge, I had all the problems with flipped primers and have it solved. The key is alignment of tube with tray and the level of vibration. The dillon 100 primer loader also had a problem with vibration level, which is why they now sell a rheostat to control it. I tried many ways and found a small cellphone vibrater set propery on the bottom of the tray works great. I threw out the ashtray a long time ago.
  17. I"ve recently started loading 357 mag. I use a 550B. I started with new starline brass, cci sml pistol mag primers 550,H-110 powder(14 GR), and 158 GR XTP bullets. I've never had a misfire before with loading 44mag,38spl,and 45acp(always used winchester primers, first time cci). I had 4 out of 50rds misfire. The strike was very light. They all fired on the second strike. I used a colt MKV on single action. Now comes the question or questions.(FINALLY). A. Does starline new brass have tight pockets and cause a high seating primer which just needs more elbow grease on the old dillon? B. Are cci mag primers hard enough to resist the hammer on a revolver at single action? C. Are cci mag primers a bit wide and resist easy insertion into the pocket? ( once again more elbow grease) I did search some of these things but can't find the answers. What say you? Mucho thanks. PS. The primers did not look high on the loads but were not as low as I normally see.

    No Choke?

Choke? What is this thing called "choke"?
  19. To all those who stand between me and the bad guys (now and in the past), and to those who fell and were injured at this task, you have my prayers and deepest thanks. I pray that all those currently in bad guy places will be home this coming year to enjoy your families and some of that freedom that you so richly deserve.
  20. The post was sent to a new post, New Homemade primer. I'll let you know how to make one easy if you want
  21. I made a vibra primer by using a Lee hand primer and attaching with epoxy to the dillion pickup tube. I placed a cellphone vibrating motor to the Lee housing. I set up a battery box to power the large and the small units. the battery provides the vibration to move the primers to exit the pic-up tube in the correct order. Works better than any I've used before. You"ll love it. Check out the you tube for a peek. I never use the ash trey anymore.Sorry if you've seen this or just don't care but I love this thing and wanted to share ( all right just brag ) The You Tube Link Is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=poce5hAEPCQ
  22. "The 550 is for people who want to control every operation, so not having auto-indexing keeps them in control." Yup,yup, yup. What he said.
  23. If you just want recipes for loads, they print info from most manuals (hornady, lyman etc ) in one pamphlet. I believe the name is loadbook USA. They are only a few bucks each and are caliber specific. Also +1000 on the Dillon 550B. Our host is a standup guy and will give you an honest deal and his best advice.
