  4. Damn. I knew that primers for a buck website was too good to be true.
  5. I recently ran up a load of 38spl for my wife. There were misfires. Good strike but no ignition. Tried it in two guns and no go. I broke down the rounds and found no primer charge. These are Winchester small pistol primers. The first picture is the strike and the second shows the primer from the bad round on the right and another primer from a different lot on the right after removing the anvil. This was the first sleeve from a brick. Time to give Winchester a call.
  6. Some of the best eye exercises that I know are for fixation. There are many. You are probably correct that you are losing the sights and need to continue with the opposite eye to pick up the sight picture. There are others but try this one to start...
  7. Lots of questions. When was your last eye exam? How old are you? There are many reasons to lose fixation. You could be developing an eye muscle weakness. You could have mild cataracts causing a loss of contrast which causes the sight to blend into certain backgrounds. The answer to contrast is to wear a yellow or other high contrast lens color. The one fact that seems to be important, is that the problem occurs at different stages and times. Varying color and lighting conditions can have an effect on the aging eye. Even dryness can fog out the vision long enough to lose that front sight. If you trust your eye doctor, you should talk to him/her about you vision issues.

  12. What better day to announce a new MOM than July 4th. This months MOM has been a regular here since 2012. He has been the voice of reason in several strong "debates". He's always ready to share experiences and offer help. That's the prime directive here at BEnos Forums. We are fortunate to have so many excellent members and it's always a pleasure to recognize one of them with the MOM award. Please join Brian and the moderators in congratulation our latest MOM award winner, Racinready300ex.
  13. FYI. I sent in a support ticket in Feb for the issue with android. I got this back... To change the bluetooth settings of your mobile device you need to do the following : Enable Developer Options on your device. Settings -> About phone -> (Software information for some phones) -> scroll down to Build number and tap it repeatedly until a prompt tells you you have developer access. After that, go back to Settings -> System -> Developer Options -> scroll down until you see Bluetooth AVRCP Version. (or use search engine if available) Change AVRCP value to 1.6 After that, keep scrolling until you see Bluetooth MAP Version (or use search engine if available) (This setting is not available on some devices, skip to the next step if it's the case) Change MAP value to 1.4 Then, go to System -> Reset Settings(On some devices: About phone -> Reset Settings) and reset settings for Wi-Fi, mobile data and bluetooth. (Please keep in mind that resetting your bluetooth settings means your current bluetooth devices will get disconnected.) Restart the device, turn Bluetooth back on and try the app again. This worked great. You need to reset your other bluetooth connections.

  15. I can't stand IT! I hate IT! IT is the problem. Why is IT happening? I don't want IT anymore! There has never been a better reason for a Friday Flame War than IT. Flame War has been declared! Let IT begin!
  16. Dillon used to send these for free. Call them. If they won't send you one, I have an extra that you can have.
  17. I had that problem so I bought a Labradar. Expensive as hell but well worth it just for the ease of use. No setting up down range.
  18. Are you saying that there are scratches are on your beech face, and were transferred to the primer? They look like gouges to me. Were there any other primers that looked that way? Did you chrono the loads? I also found an article about 244. https://www.handloadermagazine.com/propellant-profiles-9
  19. Sorry guys. way too political.
  20. Looking this up on the internet I found this, Mar 4, 2017 #16 So, it looks like the primer went off fine and the powder did not ignite. the powder is yellow and clumped together like a rock. i ran into this problem often when wet tumbling my brass. the citric acid in most soaps will contaminate and cause the powder to clump and become inert. Since switching to dry tumbling, ive never had this problem again. how are you cleaning your cases? ps. based on your pics you have the exact same problem. notice how only part of your powder is yellow. thats the stuff at the bottom of the case that absorbed the soap residue and created a barrier preventing ignition Most of the ideas about this problem all point to incomplete ignition due to contamination.
