  1. There is also this: 8.6.1 No assistance of any kind can be given to a competitor during a course of fire, except that any Range Officer assigned to a stage may issue safety warnings to a competitor at any time. Such warnings will not be grounds for the competitor to be awarded a reshoot.
  2. You need to refresh your memory. the tablet has a special button for DNF-ing a stage. PS: DNF-ing a string is a separate story and it has its own can of worms
  3. Can't say what they are teaching ROs at their USPSA seminar. But the IPSC IROA seminar pretty much says those are the ONLY commands you can use at the range. Basically in this case the RO can give command "If You Are Finished, Unload and Show Clear" at any time and that won't be an interference.
  4. 8.6.4 In the event that inadvertent contact from the Range Officer or another external influence has interfered with the competitor during a course of fire, the Range Officer may offer the competitor a reshoot of the course of fire. It doesn't mean that RO has to offer that reshoot.
  5. It was close to 90-something in 2016-ish when it was a separate 1-day match for Revolver. Many people who shot Single Stack on previous days stayed to shoot Revolver. I really liked that format of the Classic Nationals in PASA.
  6. Slide a thin metal plate inside silicone case of AMG timer and use a regular belt magnet you may already have on your belt...
  7. FYI. There are few last minute Mother's Day tablet deals on Amazon https://forums.brianenos.com/topic/209272-hardware-deals/?do=findComment&comment=3321889

  9. You are a few years behind on that one too. Not to mention that the IPSC rulebook allows RD to approve any scoring software for L1, L2 and L3 sanctioned matches. Hence PractiScore is a no brainer in quite a few regions.
  10. You realize that in many countries it is much harder to get a non-Production gun, let alone a heavily customized one like Open, Standard/Limited or even Single Stack/Classic one? Out there Production is just out of the shelf or even a rented gun. The data is there, but you will have to do the leg work to get it in one place.
  11. The more interesting questions. Are divisions are growing from competitors who switched divisions (and from which ones?) or because of the new blood? Are divisions shrinking because competitors stopped shooting or because they switched divisions? Revolver, Classic and PCC drops probably could be attributed to non-division switching factors.
  12. If he is doing data mining he should look at the number of people moved between divisions and not just at the total number in individual divisions. There are other factors in play than uspsa division dilution. E.g. ammo cost and shortages. CO is like Open but much cheaper to get in and to shoot competitive.
  13. The ezwinscore was an USPSA thing that they put to rest in favour of PractiScore. There is some IPSC-specific data in PractiScore online services, but generally IPSC don't have such centralized store of the match results anywhere. It is spread across 5..10 proprietary services and some of them not even using structured data storages (e.g. posting PDF documents instead). Your best bet is to fish for L4..L5 match results for the past years and derive conclusions from there. But then there are significant region-specific deviations.

  17. Regarding the "...but..." part. The PractiScore Log app is a one time paid app that works with basically all Bluetooth timers currently available. The video recording feature been supported for all of timers for a while. https://www.facebook.com/eugene.practiscore/posts/1019618262217759 You can find more info about the PractiScore Log app at: https://community.practiscore.com/t/practiscore-log-app-info/215 PS: did your guy mentioned that that vendor app requires a monthly subscription?...
  18. I meant currently there are no plans to tweak anything in the PractiScore app With "other timer" you can control if timer pushes data or not from the timer menus. However that is not the case with CE ProTimer. I'm also considering disabling automatic pushes even for the "other timer" cause in the past that did cause some grief and really it should be an action done by the RO, so they are really paying attention...
  19. Unlikely. There is no need to push time automatically in the competition settings.

  21. As far as I know the kids version has a kid-friendly app launcher (bigger icons and all) but other than that it is same hardware and same amazon app store under. The launcher could be replaced and other junk removed with a help of Fire Toolbox util https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/windows-tool-fire-toolbox-v23-0.3889604/
  22. USPSA lists them all at https://uspsa.org/matches/major You have to click on individual matches to see if registration is available (yet).
  23. Usually those two are both the case. That's what I said. Look at JJ and Lesgar. They both are fast, but they been beaten by other guys more or less for years.
  24. All you get is a "better competitor" faster. The other guys may surpass him in a long run when his speed catches up and accuracy improves even more.
  25. We still help with the scoring and do a tear down at the end of the day... These clubs have great setup crews that put about 10 stages on the ground a day before.
