No way I'd wait that long for a holster. Red Hill Tactical makes a nice one. So does Comp-Tac.

The only advantage to the 34 is longer sight radius - pretty much negated with a dot

So you agree that the current BoD lacks the ability to see the big picture, focus on more than one thing at a time and seems to only think about the SCSA when one of the people they like brings it up ?

I always started with looking at the Safariland stuff but that option is gone and doesn't look like it's coming back. I'd probably look at the RHT or Comp-Tac for a non-race holster

1) Agreed 2) Follow the money - only the custom guns are coming with frame mounted dots. All the mass produced stuff has a slide optic option. Catering to the gun makers is what's driving this. 3) Started out with this set up. If you only plan on SC, it's way better. Cheaper mags for sure

I like mine. It's the second one I've had. One of these days I will get around to automating it to save the wear and tear on my shoulder.

I haven't seen Red Dot for a long time. I don't talk to people in that world often so not sure why.

A couple of weeks ago I slipped and fell and reached out to break my fall and in the process broke my hand. The x-ray was inconclusive to the urgent care doc but the orthopedic hand guy at Keck saw it right away. No nerve damage so at least there is that. 3-6 weeks in a splint. I tried holding a gun and the rifle / shotgun is a no-go. I can only imagine the pain from a handgun.

I doubt there is anything nefarious going on. Just a lack of communication and transparency at HQ and with the BoD.

I think the real goal should be for the BoD to listen to those who shoot the division and not those who don't. And as we all know, trying to figure out who the BoD, as it is currently made up, does listen to is a fools errand, at best.
