  1. I need software so I can score our local matches. Help.
  2. That's cool TL. I know IPSC, and being around the people of IPSC, have changed my life for the better in so many ways. Kudos to you both.
  3. I watched a young man leap to a crouch from the sitting position as he grabbed his gun off the table. He was running to the door as soon as he finished the close targfets. Some of us middle-agers doubted if we could even physically do that. My time was 82 pts 20.03sec 4.0939HF First match, heck, first time I even shot my new Gary Groh built STI .40. Picked it up and the way to the match and shot it. I'll post pics when my daughter has time to help me.
  4. I think if I ever get invited to eat at BamBam's I'll skip the plates and have my food served off 140mm mag shishkabobs. Silverware? "Ah, no thanks, I brought my Leatherman."
  5. El Presidente covers alot of basics. Turn and draw, splits, transitions, and a reload. If you tracked each component you could chart how you are progressing in each area. TomB
  6. In that case you'd be "missing" alot of fun and good trigger time by not shooting USPSA/IPSC. If IDPA is all you have that's fine. Otherwise you are all set. Get to the shootin'!
  7. Stock sights on the G34 too? Nice work, Dave.
  8. Nice job Dave. Shooting and reporting.
  9. Recieved my copies today. Looks good. Thanks Steve.
  10. Go get'em BD! Good luck. Why don't you post your scores here and any other BE'ers that you are aware of? We can root for our "home town" heroes that way.
  11. Dum dum dum dum dum, dum-de-dum...I almost fell over laughing when he did that. I got a courtesy shoot with an open gun that Rhino missed seeing. It was apparently pretty entertaining watching me wave this blaster around looking for the dot for about 13 seconds after I ran a few steps. I' m blaming it on the bi-focals. Another poor fellow had his AR mag drop to the ground twice after a reload (of course he didn't realize it either time and was pulling the trigger wondering why it wouldn't make noise). The third time he picked the magazine off the ground and slammed it into the rifle it blew the basepad and speed unloaded the spring and bullets everywhere. I couldn't help laughing. He took it like a pro.
  12. Yes, so why keep throwing more $ at it? I recently bought a .40 single stack on a whim and the next day traded it for an STI frame and slide. Gary Groh is building me a Limited blaster. You could do the same with your 9mm if you really want an STI SS. And you could have it custom built for you for about the same money it would cost you to by a factory gun. Same guy that built the Range Babe's blaster, need I say more sir? TomB Edited to add: And I have to admit it was a real kick talking with Gary and designing MY gun. You know, "Do you like this or that? Really! I never thought of that." I kind of like these, what do you think? We ended up measuring ambi widths, sights, triggers, etc. Very cool.
  13. I noticed a new billboard on the ride home tonight, it read "Guiness. 125 calories. Not on purpose." Happy birthday, Dale.

    being armed

Being armed is good and feels good for sure. Hey TL, is it true the Kerrville PD carry Glock 35's? There was an article about it in the Glock annual a few years back if I recall correctly.
  15. Add a healthy dose of krinkle paint, and ooh-la-la.
  16. It's just time and money, Brian. I feel sick that I can't even help RO the IN State match at my local club, but with it scheduled at the end of the month I can't get the time off. Even if I COULD it would cost me at least $1000 to do so. Time and money. I feel really bad for chutist who apparently donated the time and got hosed for it. Is there anybody in a USPSA leadership position who would like to address his concerns? It seems he may have a few things to get off his chest. Tom Bergman

    Marriage

Allright Matt! Funny, I asked Matt if he'd be interested in teaching a class the first weekend of May, and he never said no but I could tell something seemed a little dicey. Now it makes sense. Best wishes.
  18. I called to tell them I broke a thingy, part # da-da. Dillion dude: Ok, we'll send you the whole assembly with the screw and spacers. Me: Cool. Uh, it was my fault, I'll pay. DD: Cool! Send it to my PO Box in Mexico and I'll think of you when I'm drinking Pina Colada's on the beach. I love it. Oh, and recently I buggered up a primer pickup tube, so I ordered some new ones. They even sent me one to replace the one that jammed up. Why would you buy anything but a Dillion? I don't know.
  19. Jhgtyre- add Chuck bradley of Shooters Connection to your great service list.
  20. Good show DT. Let us know when it comes out, I'll buy and maybe even subscribe. I haven't bought a gun mag in a long time.
  21. Big Dave. Me likey too. Saaah-lute!
  22. I use a Glock 35 for Production and L10. I use the same DOH Bladetech holster from the same position on a CR Speed belt, even though I have a faster holster I could use for L10. I have a THE brass magwell which really helps with felt recoil shooting major loads and with reloads, but I don't use it. If I went to exclusively Limited I would defintely put it on. I have a CGR Top Fuel trigger. Very nice. CGR also fitted a Bar-sto barrell. It is very accurate. I use a tungsten guide rod with 13 or 15 # ISMI springs. I wrap the grip with the tape like CGR sells, very "grippy". You can do home trigger jobs pretty cheap, you don't really need a Bar-sto. It probably just won't be as nice. It's all in how much you want to spend. I know I do have a really nice gun that is compettitive in 3 divisions, even if the shooter always isn't. If I had the money I'd by a Brazos tuned STI or have my local smith build me something similar. But I'd keep my Glock for a reeally sweet Procuction gun. Glock on.
  23. My reaction was "Only three years?" It seems like such an integral part of my life (daily). There just isn't anywhere else you can get this. Thanks Brian.
  24. Production "C" 92 points, 21.79 seconds, 4.2221
