  1. Thinking its either a brass or die setting issue. I load Zero 147 JHP's to 1.10 with no problems using sorted Winchester brass or Speer nickel plated brass.
  2. Have always preferred the slow push recoil of 147's over the snap of 124's. This past weekend I was practicing on plates. After a few hundred rounds, I observed my times were better with 124's loaded over 4.0 grains of VVN320 vs 147's loaded with 4.0 of WSF. What changed? Does the faster cycle time of the 124's make a difference?
  3. I would send the whole thing back to Dillon for cleaning/tune up. It will come back like new. These guys work magic!
  4. I use the uniquetek unit on my 1050 with the arendondo drop slide. Very happy it.
  5. I took the rachet tab thing off of my 1050 and it has run much smoother since then. It might be worth your while to order a new primer slide that no longer uses the little rubber piece on the end.
  6. Creature of habit-have my loads dialed in for WSF. Have lots of n320 on standby. WSF just works great for the Zero 147 JHP's I prefer to load.
  7. i prefer WSF for loading 147's. Very Low smoke- WST and VVn320 have done equally well. I just prefer the recoil impulse of WSF
  8. I use 3.8 of WST and SNS 180 NLGFP. Mild and accurate
  9. Just installed a set of Dawson sights on my 35. Really like the sight picture.
  10. WSF is my preferred powder . I load this bullet to 1.10
  11. I use my single stage to deprime all of my .223 brass. it allows me time to inspect and sort each case prior to trimming. All processed brass is fed to the Dillon for final loading.
  12. I like my mag lula. I just hate when it hides from me. Get to the range and its in the other bag. Get to match and I left it at home loading all of the other mags... Swear this thing crawls under stuff and hides. May be there is reason the pink ones sell so well. Easier to see
  13. IF you look in gunbroker right now there are two Glock 24's bargain priced. Not related to the seller in any way.
  14. if you leave everything else the same and substitute the precision delta 147 or the Zero 147 JHP-the groups will magically shrink
  15. I reload indoors and no longer worry about leaving powder in the measure. However in the past (and even now)if I had to remove a small amount of powder from the measure, I just dragged out the shop vac and vacuumed the powder out.
  16. Ramshot tac is my favorite powder for the .223. It meters perfectly on the Dillon. Somewhere between 23.7-24 grains is the sweet spot for the 69SMK. Using virgin Winchester brass and 24 grains is my favorite load. It works in several different rifles I have.

    Glock 34

Better sights and a - connector. Lots of ammo for practice...124 grain or heavier
  18. No problem- you wont even notice the difference. Lots of folks only stock one kind of primer.
  19. the precision delta 124 JHP is hard to beat for price and performance. when purchased in lots if 2k they are very cost effective. Its an easy bullet to load and develop accurate loads with ease. WSF is my single favorite powder in 9mm.
  20. I load 2 different 147's to 1.10 with good results. The Zero 147 JHP and the Precision Delta 147 FMJ-TC. I load for several different guns. 4.0 grains of WSF and a CCI primer. This load works well in all of them. In my load development, I tried several COAL. While conventional wisdom would say go with the longest COAL. When I went just a little shorter my results became much more consistent. Let the target and Chrono guide you.
  21. I recommend Zero 147 JHP and WSF powder and once fired brass of the same headstamp. Precison Delta make a 147 FMJ-TC that is very accurate, easy to load and a whisker cheaper than the Zero bullet when ordered in lots of 2k. And then your reloads will kick sand in the face of factory ammo.
  22. if you increase your loads a couple tenths of a grain they will burn a little cleaner. Sounds like you are on the right track.
  23. I tried TG. It works, and has a place but not my first choice. Never cared for the heat in the slide I got with TG. These days I prefer powders than burn a little slower. If it works for you, stick with it.
