  1. Anybody using these on a CR Speed belt. I got mine but have not had much time to play with them. I tried mounting one to my belt and it does not fit without really bending the belt to get it on. Is the CR belt a little wider than a DAA belt? These are not belt specific are they? Other than the belt fit thing they look like a really well thought out product. Much nicer than the original ones. Tom
  2. This is nothing new from USPSA. It was always on the old site. When they re-did the website it was not there for the new unveiling. It took them a while to get it back on the new site. I have been using this for years to track my clubs classifiers, and the classifiers of other local clubs so we don't repeat classifiers. Tom
  3. Would like to thank all the RO's and staff that put on this match. The stages were great, all things considered, it went pretty smoothly, at least from a shooters perspective. I can imagine all the running around behind the scenes that goes on when dealing with weather like that. Got to see all the old faces in the revo crowd and some of the new. Got to shoot with Jerry and Kay and Lena. That is always a pleasure. One of my stories from the match. We were on one of the muddier stages, Tony Hawkins and his lovely wife come up the hill with a load of gravel on the ATV. Tony's driving, Deb is riding, they pull up and Deb jumps off and starts shoveling gravel into the mud to try and improve the footing. Jerry tries to take the shovel from Deb saying that he will do that, and she should not have to. Tony says "No Jerry, you paid to shoot the match, not work it, we will get it" Thanks to Tony and Deb for busting their humps for us shooters all week-end. 2 other lessons I learned form shooting this week-end. 1. The re-shoot gods are evil, they will get you every time. Like in football, you never take points off of the scoreboard. Boy did I learn that the hard way on stage 14 2. Re-loading hot between stages is never a good idea. You are just asking for trouble. I will NEVER do that at a match again. Favorite part of the match- Getting to shoot a couple of the steel challenge stages with Sarah Irish. Holy cow boys can that girl shoot a 22 rimfire open gun. Absolutely unbelievable. She put us all to shame. Sarah I hope your ankle gets better, We could tell how much it was hurting you those last couple of stages. See you all in a couple of weeks at Bend. Tom
  4. In years past the flashlight has a lanyard on it. I would just wrap it around my wrist and let it flop. You can see plenty good from the light it gives off. The dark house is usually pretty straight forward. Tom
  5. Well as luck would have it, sprained my ankle at work on Thursday. Went to the ER, x-rays etc... Not broken, but going to be real sore for awhile. Still plan on coming for the match, not sure how competitive I will be, but I will be there Tom
  6. Don't quote me on this, but I think the -3 are the ones that have a floating hand. They are different from all the other guns. Have given guys problems before but I think the problem can be fixed. Do a search for floating hand, I bet some topics will come up. I 'm sure some of the more knowledgable guys will chime in. Tom
  7. Got two entries coming from Wisconsin, shooting Saturday with the RO's. Tom
  8. I just watched your video. I am not a 3-gun guy, never shot it before, just seen videos of it, don't know the rules. Why were you not stopped immediately when the shotgun clearly broke the 180 and possibly swept the RO in the process? Not trying to start anything here, just curious and trying to learn a little about the sport. DQ's suck, learn from them and move on. Tom
  9. Did that bald guy from Tennessee with the funny limp leave you "yankees" alone for the match. I have heard stories about them corrupting young impressionable shooters back at the hotel the night before the match
  10. Congrats to everyone who shot the match. Looks like the open guys are coming close to catching Jerry. Only 4.76 seconds between Jerry and Rich. Nice job Rich. I think the bigger story is that John B. is running away with limited and no one is even close. If my math was correct, 43.49 seconds between John and second place. That is a pretty impressive performance. Are these final results? Website says from Saturdays results. Seems like most of the big names are listed. Congrats to everyone, Tom
  11. I'll give you credit, I have been trying to figure out sketch-up and have given up. Can't make heads or tails of it. Your stage design looks good on paper, but the shoot through issue is going to be a problem. Depending on how the target heights are when you set it up, I don't see this one working. And if the front targets are lower than the back, then you have bullets impacting the ground instead of the berm. My club is in a pretty residential area, we have to be certain of where our bullets are going, if you are setting this up in the middle of no-where, not such a big issue then. Tom
  12. Do you think if enough people were interested in having a golf cart we could do that agin for this match The match is three weeks out, I am sure the organizers have enough on there plate right now without trying to pull something like this together. Tom
  13. The golf cart rental was for when they had nationals there. They had a company from Quincy bring them in to rent. Tom
  14. I am planning on coming down as well. I will try to remember to bring the new 617 with so you can check it out. Tom
  15. I'm with Jess on this one. Everyone has to have an 8 shot. If you can shoot a couple of steel matches near you. The 8 shot is a no brainer. Tom
  16. We just started a huge project in downtown Milwaukee Monday morning. Since Monday, The electricians were hit to the tune of 7 grand of tools, plumbers got hit Tuesday night, about 5 grand worth. Now today in broad daylight, the lowlifes punch the lock on the side door of my van, get my dewalt mitre box loaded up and gone. One of the other bosses saw something going on, they got spooked and took off. Luckily, the side doors of my van don't work real well and they couldn't get the second one opened. If they did they would have cleaned me out. Don't these bastards realize by stealing my tools, I can't work, if I can't work, the government can't take money out of my check to fund there g#dd#$n welfare check Tom, Pissed off in Wisconsin
  17. They have a thing on the top of their page saying classifiers will be a week late because of the outage. Remember, clubs could not upload their results either. Our club shoots the second Sunday, and depending on the calendar, we have to get our results done Sunday night, or the shooters wait the whole month before they get updated. Tom
  18. Well maybe next month then. We started our Tuesday night IPSC league this past Tuesday night. Come on down and check it out if you get a chance. I do not run that event but we get a really good turn-out for it. Tom
  19. We shoot on Sunday. First shot at 10am. I am the USPSA coordinator there so I am a little biased, but I would say it is the best club See you Sunday. Tom
  20. We are shooting this week-end out at Schultz's. Come on out and give it a try. Tom Mainus http://www.schultzgunclub.com/ http://wisconsinshooters.com/joomla/
  21. Who makes the steel plate swinger with the smiley face? I have never seen those before. Would be interested in getting some of those for our club. Tom
  22. I just recently change from a PC to a MAC desktop. I am by no means a computer geek, I know enough to be dangerous. I found it pretty easy to switch from the Mac to the PC. The Mac is very intuitive, just spending some time with it helped a lot. I also signed up for apples one to one classes. They are great for getting to know the system. As to your questions- 1. Apple will transfer all of your data free of charge when you buy a new computer. This is part of the set up process. 2. Not sure about the Samsung camera, I have no experience with that. 3. EZ score is a PC program. It will not run on a Mac. The only way to run EZ score on a Mac is to run windows on your Mac. You can do that by running either Bootcamp or another program called parallels. I have no experience with either program. They tell me it is pretty easy to do. I kept my old PC to run ez score on so I did not have to get the other programs. 4. I downloaded something called flip for mac for videos. Haven not had any issues viewing videos since I downloaded it. 5. My Mac handles all PDF's just fine. The only thing I lost is my ability to draw stages with my old word files system. The mac converts the files, but they do not work the way they are supposed to. I have not had any luck with sketch-up. I just flat out can not figure that program out. Tom
  23. The SS Classic/Nats has always been a low round count affair. You will not see anything over 24 rounds. Tom
  24. Did you move back to Oklahoma? You just got here in WI Hope all is well. Tom
