  1. Farley sent me that link a while ago. I was hoping to keep my pathetic run on that contraption a secret, but I guess the cat's out of the bag now. I am the guy that follows Jerry on the clip. That thing ate my lunch. You can't hear it on the video, I was asking Rodney where my hits were going becasue I couldn't hit the broad side of a barn on that one. Thank's Farley. Tom
  2. I am still working on that. It is not looking good Tom
  3. I have that same gun. I had my gunsmith make the original front sight into a fiber optic. He drilled a hole all the way through it and then milled out a section of the middle. It works great. Anybody with any machining experience should be able to do this for you. Tom
  4. Hopalong just sent me this digital photo of the microwave dish his crew finished installing today. (It's the top one in the photo, in case you were wondering.) Looks great Sam, hope the alignment job goes well tomorrow. Good to see you have been working on some new material. That was funny See you Friday night. Tom
  5. If you fly, you are allowed 11 pounds per gun providing they are packaged correctly. Check the airlines web site, as each has somewhat different rules for ammo. The only other way is FedEx Ground or UPS Ground, not sure there is enough time to get it here by Fri. If you want to ship it, send me a PM and I'll get you my address and I'll bring it out to the match. Bill I am pretty sure it is 11Lbs per passenger not gun. 11 lbs is not enough to get all the 230grn ammo you will need for a major match. Tom
  6. Eric, Are you taking Kyle down there? That will be a good time. Remember the long haired kid that shot in our squad on Sunday. His name is Chad, and I am pretty sure that he is going to be there with his younger brother and Dad. Tom
  7. Think of it like you are shooting indoors. "ALL" of your rounds now have to impact the back berm. You might as well not put up any walls and just throw shooting boxes down because that is what you are limited to do. How much fun does that sound like. Seems to me that the BOD is not real IPSC friendly there, and this is there way of pushing them right out of the club. Tom
  8. We are having the 5th annual Bragging rights match this week-end at Schultz's Gun Club in Muskego WI. This is our annual joint venture between Schultz and the Northern Illinois Shooters Association. You must declare what state you are shooting for at registration. We are going to have 9 stages, @ round count is going to be 250. Cost of the match is $50. We will be having a cash payout for prizes, no trophies. Bubbs will be doing lunch again for us. We have room for a few walk-ons that will be assured a lunch. If we get to many walk-ons I cannot guarantee you a lunch. Come on out and have some fun with us, this is usually the last match of the year for us depending on weather in December. Tom Mainus 414-378-2211
  9. Shay, I would go for the 4-post holder. That gives you 48 rounds up front, 6 in the gun at start, and 6 more behind the gun for those o-sh*# moments that come up every so often. I have never ran out of ammo with my 4-post set up and a single post behind the gun. Moon-clips are not as important withthe 45. Just about any of the companies out there will work. The 45 is not as picky with clips as the 627/.357 are. Hope to see you at Schultz's with the wheel soon. Are you shooting the Bragging Rights Match on the 25th? Tom
  10. Count me in for one only. Dawn could not get off of work Tom
  11. I bet Cliff is glad to have his wing man back in the game.
  12. Not sure of arrival time yet, but can probably add 2 from Wisconsin as well. Tom
  13. You said that you ran the Double Alpha's in limited, why not run them in production? I use the Double Alphas for production and they work great. I run the Comp-Tacs for IDPA and they are a good product as well. Tom
  14. Now you are on to something Tom
  15. What about left handed carpenters who shoot revolvers and ride Harleys.... Seriously, We have to many special categories already. It is a pain in the ass from a MD perspective to try to get trophies for all the "special people" already. If you want to do it on the local level where you have a bunch of EMS guys shooting already, fine have at it. I don't think we need anymore categories added to the list. Just my .02. Tom
  16. Buy with confidence from Comp-tac. I am a lefty and I have a belt ride holster from comp-tac for my pro and 9-L. Does not flop around at all, holds the gun very good but not so good that you give yourself a wedgie on the draw. Tom
  17. That says it all right there. Sounds like Jim needs to get back to his roots and I can't think of a better way then a revolver. Let me know, you have ICORE at the club now, I even have a revo with a dot on it so it won't be to bad for you Tom
  18. Pete, Is this going to be a monthly occurance at Pine Tree? I can't make it again this month Tom
  19. To anyone on the fence for this match with gear etc.. I have extra revolvers that can be loaned out for the match. One extra belt with holster we can switch over to righty if need be. Let me know if you need any equipment. Tom
  20. That is what I was hoping for. You could shoot one match, spend the week vacationing, and then shoot the other match the following week-end. Seems very doable this far out. Tom
  21. So is that a challenge, there, Skippy? I can only shoot one day. If you're issuing me a challenge, I'll switch to revolver. And maybe we should put some side money on it. I will bet you $20 bucks of my dads money I'll beat ya. lol Challenge is on. I'm sure you remember the last time I shot revo against you in USPSA... I want in on this as well. I am putting my money on Craig though. Carmoney is getting old, his lungs are all coated from the cigars, etc... you all know the rest. Go get him Craig.
  22. http://www.degasis.com/gunracer/sb_index.htm Is this the one? Tom
  23. The hot new item this year at the Wisconsin State Fair was "Chocolate covered bacon on a stick" No I did not try it. Tom
