  1. Also most shoes are only meant to have about 150 miles on them before they start wearing out. If you have more miles than that you need to replace them...that should help quite a bit.
  2. Anyone want to explain to me how a slightly lower heart rate will give you an advantage for 10 seconds out of every hour you are on a range?
  3. In my opinion...the most important thing is to practice with the same equipment you use in the match. If you shoot in competition with a magwell...you should be practicing with a magwell. The more consistent you can make EVERY aspect of your game...the less there is to potentially go wrong.
  4. In my opinion you should be the same speed whether you are going right or left.
  5. Whenever you make any stage because you want to "force" someone to do something...it usually ends up being a bad stage.
  6. Your sense of touch can distinguish up to 1/10,000th of an inch. When you are case gauging, just run your finger over the primer. If it feels high at all put it with the practice ammo.
  7. And Number 3) Never use untested ammo.
  8. Well I have had a thing or 2 happen to me at matches that says you need to watch your gear at all times. I'm not going to give names or events or anything on this board, but lets just say you'd be better off not leaving your gear unattended.
  9. Cycling for sure. Will also increase the amount of muscle around your knee giving more support to it.
  10. Joe4d. Yeah you save .35 seconds on a stage that may go 20 seconds. But look at it this way....35 seconds times 36 stages at the world shoot equals 12.6 seconds. That could be as much as 100 match point depending on the hit factors of the stages...which is many positions in the final standings. Is a draw the most important thing in USPSA? Most certainly no...but it is much more important than you make it out to be.
  11. Bob Sanders is the heart and soul of that defense...I have never seen someone fly around the field and make plays like him. Between saving the game with the Pats with that blocked pass (after flying 20 yards through the air) and the interception late in the game sealing the Bear's fate. Anyone who can't or couldn't see Peyton Manning as one of (if not the) best QB's in the game doesn't know much about football. Dominic Rhodes had a huge game too. Rex Grossman fumbling two snaps....that had to be the most pathetic thing I've ever seen. Brian Urlacher is an absolute monster....homeboy is built like a coke machine and runs the 40 in around 4.2.
  12. I wasn't a huge fan....a movie I don't regret seeing, but won't be purchasing.
  13. One thing I've noticed....If I'm shooting in a squad with my main competition and he gives me a opening, I would always say to myself "ok...he gave me an opening, just take it easy and get the points and you will gain some ground." Whenever I said that, I always found my points were about the same as if I would shoot at normal speed, but I was a good 2 seconds slower. Whenever you go to a stage with a plan to take it easy, or to go fast, it won't be nearly as effective as just going to the line and shooting like you know how to do.
  14. I'll only be going to a handful of matches this year...I definetely want to make this one of them though.
  15. I would have to say the first thing you need to do is totally ignore the "classification" column. It is definetely normal to have an overload...especially after your first trip to this forum. Your best bet would be to establish a training log. Set yourself up with a regimented program of dry fire and live fire. Work on your weaknesses. Record times and points so you can see your progress or lack there of. Learn as much as you can...but specifically learn the traps and pit falls that happen to most newer shooters. Also remember...you get out of training what you put in. If you truly are committed to improvement it's gotta be done whether you are tired, too cold, too hot, or when it's too hard. (This is all assuming you want to do this as a sport rather than a hobby.)
  16. That's a fantastic quote.
  17. Yeah because Indianapolis definetely choked coming back from an 18 point deficit to the Patriots.
  18. I'll probably only be shooting one or two matches this year...but it's for financial reasons. I know what you mean though...I'm really not feeling the fire right now.
  19. Naw of course I know the Pats won 3 of the last 5. In fact I love that team because they are actaully a team. The Colts beat them once this year already and they are also 9 - 0 at home. It's really a crap shoot, but I'm going with the Colts.
  20. The Bears are weakest downfield...which the Saints are pretty damn effective at. Another thing to consider is the Saints will be playing in near 0 degree temperature. I forsee the Colts vs. the Saints in the Superbowl.
