  1. Is it really that hard to click one more link? Public opinion means nothing in the grand scheme of things.
  2. Unfortunately the bottom line is that if someone wants to go end a lot of lives....ultimately there is very little that can stop them. The only thing you can do is prepare yourself as much as possible to deal with the situation if it ever occurs.
  3. And let's not forget His Excellency's Hipsy Dance.
  4. You Can't Save Me by Richie Kotzen has gotta be one of the best rock songs I've ever heard. Haven't heard the rest of the album...but I got a feeling I need to.
  5. No matter what...you should NEVER pull the trigger based on a cadence. If you shoot strictly based upon your visual input. You will never have that problem. (Assuming of course that during practice you aren't engraining reloading with your finger on the trigger).
  6. We all missed the fight brother. I kinda wanna hear Tito's side of it.
  7. Tryin to decide if I want to fly back Sunday or Monday....how's the southern hospitality gonna be down there.
  8. A good first step would not to look at squad lists. Forget about who is going to be there...it doesn't matter. You are always shooting for first no matter who is in attendence.
  9. There's nothing that can take the place of actual match experience.
  10. That's why it is so important to count the rounds on the stage during your walkthrough and make sure it matches up to what is written on the stage briefing.
  11. Search function will bring up a ton of info for ya.
  12. Ditto. I haven't been to gunsite, by have trained with a few of their instructors. If his instructor is anything like the ones I know, they'd get a pretty good laugh out of him asking their permission to shoot a match.
  13. On top, without a doubt. Also, don't be afraid to angle the mag a little more steeply to make sure the heel of your palm strikes the basepad first. You can click on my name and see a picture of me to see how far angled my mags are. Also...DO push the speed in dry fire. The only way your body adapts is by doing things at the edge of it's capability. You can always slow it down a hair in match time (read...turn up your vision).
  14. You have a few options here. 1. Work a draw into the drill with the timer. So you do Draw 1, reload 1. Will give you a killer draw too. 2. Gun on target, reload, gun back on target. No timer. Alternate pulling the trigger before the reload and after the reload to ensure you have the proper follow through. You'll get more reps in this way and can really focus on engraining the proper habits. I wouldn't train loads reacting to the beep...you will never see that happen in a match. The biggest time wasters in the reload are two things. The speed your hand gets to the new mag, and the speed the old mag is ejected. Focus on completing those tasks at the earliest possible instant.
  15. Full deal....seating the mag and getting back on target are just as important as getting the mag to the gun. Do it with a chair in front of you and put a laundry basket on top to catch your mags.
  16. Do 10,000 perfectly executed reloads a week and you will have a sub-second reload before you know it.
  17. Divide 25 by the 3 men and you actually get 8.33. 8.33 * 3 = 24.99. That means out of the $10 that each of them paid, .67 went to the bell boy (since he took the 2). 8.33+.67+1 = $10. The extra dollar paid to the room in .33 cents from each man. The bellboy ripped them off by 67 cents a piece.
  18. I just noticed that all the stage names are from Talledega Nights....that's fantastic.
  19. I enjoyed the movie....but I really can't stand Ashton Kutcher.
  20. Correct...but when does the match officially start? If it hasn't started yet....how can you dq someone from it.
  21. Most up close shooting is done strictly by index anyway....You don't need to see the slide more clearly to be able to rely on your It doesn't matter how good or how experienced some shooters are....they aren't infallible. You shouldn't believe something just because it was Todd Jarrett who said it.
  22. This seems to fall pretty far outside forum guidelines...
  23. I haven't read all the replies so sorry if this has already been posted but I'm in a bit of a hurry. How can you DQ a person from a match before the match has even started? As far as I knew the rulebook only extends from the beginning to the end of the match...I thought that the beginning of the match was after the first round was fired? This is more of a question rather than a statement.
