  1. Well, the 1st step is to figure out how much time you are willing to sacrifice working on it.
  2. Carl, I think you are missing what I'm saying. I'm not saying that a Limited gun is as good as a Open gun at all ranges. I would definetely take a dot any day when I'm shooting at 30 yards. When it comes to spitting distance though...the only real difference is the one you percieve is there. Shred, What Todd said about "shooting out of the notch" is exactly my point. You can point shoot (and I hesitate saying that but I feel you guys will know what I mean) just as easily with a Open gun by knowing what you need to see. No different than a Limited gun at all....just a different picture when you are shooting it.
  3. Ya know, for a long time I've heard people say things like "I wish I was shooting a Limited gun rather than an Open gun on this stage" because things were a little more up close and personal than usual. Whenever I hear this and ask why, the normal cookie cutter response is that a Limited gun is faster close up than a Open gun. For the life of me I have tried to grasp and understand this idea. I've even tried testing it, and I have no idea where this is coming from. Maybe people are saying it because they once heard that a national champion said it? Maybe they are saying it for some other reason...I don't know. What I do know is that it simply isn't true, and this type of thinking hurts your mental game in so many more ways than one. Next time you guys hear someone say that, do yourselves a favor and tell yourself that both guns are capable of going just as fast as the other. A few ounces in weight matters about the same to your shooting as the new high zoot technicolor range bag that Johnny Chimpo has.
  4. Listen Moneypenny....just because your jealous you can't fit in one is no reason to take it out on me. Don't worry though Britney....I'm sure the guys just love your personality.
  5. If I had $500 to spend of fitness equipment I would get some kettlebells, a pullups bar, a fairly small weight set (a few hundred pounds), and a few dumbbells.
  6. 95 Reps total I think. Your more than welcome to borrow it. I like doing it that way because you and basically guaranteed to never duplicate a workout. And you can substitute anything else in there to. Man-Makers, Dips, Medicine ball slams, and wall ball shots make pretty good additions.
  7. Haven't done it in Production for a very long time....last time was around 1.65.
  8. Yeah I worked those into my workout today actually. The Man-Makers made me want to cry though.
  9. Lately I've been changing up my workouts a little bit. I've been using a deck of cards. Diamonds = Burpees Hearts = Pull ups Spades = Crunches (doubled...on a swiss ball) Clubs = Squats Just shuffle up a deck, draw a card and do a set of that exercise with whatever number the size is. (Aces are 11). One of the best and most varied workouts I've done.
  10. That's true....a .59 draw can be attainable through hard work (I wouldn't say easily though)....but I'd be willing to bet you won't see very many (read any) GM's making a .59 draw to a 10 yard target in match conditions. I'm not saying he didn't do it.....but I am saying I'd really like to see it on video.
  11. Triple Six could be used as a great consistency drill.
  12. I'm all about believing in exceeding limitations, but until I see a video of this it's gonna be under suspicion. What division does he shoot? USPSA number? Which clubs does he normally shoot in? If this is true he should probably shoot the steel challenge this year.
  13. For sure. When I hit a 1.06 that was my Limit of Human Function. A .89 would be a .59 draw with a .15 split and .15 transition. At 10 yards that is insane.
  14. I'd really like to see a video of that.
  15. I stopped laughing about a year ago. I really wish that everyone who keeps bringing this back up would find something better to do with their spare time. It really isn't funny anymore...
  16. The Nationals is the same as any other match you have ever shot. Just longer.
  17. If he were a new shooter at Nationals, would he be given the same slack? Of course not. As far as I know, we don't have a seperate set of rules for local matches.
  18. He developed a method of transmitting electricity through the air. JP Morgan bankrolled the operation to build a transmitter and pulled out at the critical stage which bankrupted him.
  19. I personally loved this movie. Things don't need to be perfectly historically accurate to get the original point across.
  20. Randy is one of my all time heroes. That guy is ridiculous. Now he gets to fight Crocop. Sorry to say it...but goodnight Randy.
  21. It's gonna me the whole Molon Labe story...but don't go to it expecting it. Basically it looks like an all out blood bath...looks pretty BA to me.
  22. I would defintely say more so. If JP Morgan hadn't screwed him over there is no telling where civilization would be right now.
