  1. Flex, TGun, I'm sorry for ignoring your top guy. I thought it was the normal thing to do here
  2. Well, I think I only use words when I fail to visualize It's a bad habit. I definately need to work on that.
  3. I recently (yesterday ) scrapped the words "speed" and "fast" from my vocabulary. I no longer do stuff "fast". I figured that if you just do the mechanical things you need to do, there's no need in describing any of them as "fast". That really makes no sense at all. You just do the things you need to do in the right order. I liked what happened yesterday when I took this mentality to a stage. It's like the "bandwith" that was usually occupied by thinking of "being fast" is now available for being more aware of what I do an see.
  4. Yes, that is exactly what I mean. See, when you have a real tight sight picture (i.e. no light on either side), you will "know" exactly how to line up your sights to make a shot. The problem with that setup is that: 1) The gun will move anyway,so you'll never have that perfect SP 2) Once your tight SP is off, you cannot tell how far it is off/where the bullet will go 3) It takes more time to get the desired sight picture A wider SP will give you faster information of where the bullet will go. It may seem inaccurate at first, though.
  5. Way to go Sam and Patrick!!! One question. I spoke with the EC2004 nr. 3 Hermann Kirchweger after the EuroChampionships. He said Rudy used to live in Austria and was one of his shooting buddies. My question is: How does Rudy compare to the other US shooters? Where would you think he'd end up in a match like these last Nationals?
  6. Cool story Patrick. Do you have any results you can post from the main match?
  7. Holy crap! I didn't even see that! I just assumed that Jerry would take the shootoff in Revolver. Well done Patrick!!! How did you do it?
  8. I like them as long as they're black and thin (about .100" in a .125" notch with a 5" barrel). Thin sights make tight shots easier IMO.
  9. Yeah he lost the shootoff at the EC2004 too. It looks like he really doesn't care about shootoffs anymore. At the EC he was just partying untill dawn and came to the shootoff with bloodshot eyes and a bad hangover, LOL.
  10. Very nice for Eric Grauffel to lengthen his incredible winning streak by one more big match. This guy takes the European and US title in less than one month!!! Way to go ERIC!!!!! Julien, I predicted the Open top 3 right and TGO in Lim. But let's face it: TGO in Lim and Eric in Open are sure shots
  11. So if you know who won Limited, you must also know who won the other divisions. ME IS CURIOUS!!!!!

    Death

I'm sorry to hear that MoNsTeR
  13. Ditto! Same as at the EC2004. I think it's the toughest division out there.
  14. Have fun! You'll learn a lot of stuff, guaranteed. Just shoot the way you want to shoot it.
  15. @ Bruce, LOL, I'm going to use that one with your permission
  16. It is more important HOW you practice than HOW MUCH you practice. If you practice to be fast and "on the edge" all the time, that is what you will be when match day comes. You'll occasionally be fast, and you'll occasionally fumble. If you practice to be consistent, that is what you'll be when match day comes. You are what you practice. So if you practice to be consistent, and improve the speed while maintaining the consistency, and practice with that intention a lot, your reloads will probably improve significantly.
  17. Hi Paul, good that your healing process is working out. Personally, I'd throw in some: 1) gear shifting stuff, like close targets to far partials. 2) lots of transition drills 3) and very important...moving in and out of shooting positions Good luck!
  18. I'm being totally fair if I doubt that Saul will be in the top ten. I think that even with his powerfactor he can't reach the targets from that beach in Israel he's enjoying the sun on right now Open: 1) Eric 2) Max 3) Chris Limited: 1) Rob 2) Phil 3) That one guy....you kno who I mean. Production: 1) Angus 2) Not a clue 3) Not a clue Revolver: 1) Hmmm....Jerry? 2) At 79%, that other guy..... 3) ...
  19. Can you guys keep us non-US-ers posted? I'm real curious how this match will evolve.
  20. Jody, I believe the Frontiers from South Africa are the same as Rainier (they link eachother on their sites too).
  21. I do OK when I'm relaxed, but the best runs in my life were at times when the RO pissed me off beforehand. Dunno why though.
  22. 9MX, speed comes through practice. Your match performance should reflect what you can DO (not try) at that moment. Through practice (both mental and physical), you will evolve and be able to do better/faster, still without trying.
  23. Whizz, I shot a match yesterday. Didn't go as planned Some stages went great, but I screwed two up pretty badly. Shit happens. Just don't take the shit to the next stage Good going on stage 3 and 4. I'm willing to bet that if you went for all A's at a comfortable speed, you would have been between 16 and 35 on every stage. Keep it up!
