  1. When will the results be out (when is last match day)? I'm not a USPSA member, so I can't check it on the site.
  2. Wow thanks Chuck! LOL, yeah it is mainly tutuion and books that cause my financial situation And bullets, and powder and primers As soon as I can go to the US for a big match, I'll go! And that's a promise!
  3. Just order your clipholders from Dillon. Get the California Competition Works (2 for 17,50 I think). They are fast.
  4. I know you will. Get as many A's as you can. "Points are time"
  5. You wil be able to keep your nerves under control Just remember, you shoot best when you are calm and relaxed. No difference between an autoloader and a wheelgun, you just have to reload a bit more and have to make every shot count Are you competing against noone else, or are you competing against the flatgunguys?

    Puppies...

You and your wife are not alone Dave! People who hurt animals for fun make me sick.
  7. I'm drooling right now! That is a really nice gun!
  8. BUY IT NOW!!!!! Seriously, that is a nice price. You could always lose it for the same or more, so I'd definately go for it. Is it the onld fluted model 5" barrel?
  9. Ray, I wish it was that easy. But, it's different with revolverdivision. If I had won open or standard, I would probably had a nice new gun sitting in my safe now. I have some sponsorship now (I got 10.000 .45 bullets for free) but that will not cover the expenses of those trips I love shooting revolver in IPSC, but obviously it is looked at differently (just like Modified). I think if I would beat Jerry Miculek in the World Shoot, I might get some good deals. So guess what my next goal is PS If you know any possible sponsors, please let me know
  10. Congrats man! I love too beat autoshooters too Best of luck at the Nats!
  11. Hopalong, I'd love to shoot some matches in the US. Unfortunately, as a poor student (soon to be a Law major ) I can't afford those trips right now. As soon as I have a decent job, I'll get myself a 1050 from Brian, a sh!tload of components and a plane ticket to the US
  12. Key things I want in a revolver are: - a grip that fits MY hand. - chamfered cylinder - a good thin front sight Just go with whatever S&W .45ACP revolver. They all work. If you have a choice, I'd go for one with a hammer mounted FP. My rig is a CR Speed belt (awesome!) and holster. The clipholders I have are from California Competition Works sold through Dillon.
  13. Happy Burfday man! Have a good one!
  14. Happy Birthday Julien!!!!
  15. Haha, yeah I thought I'd better help the guy (he won the whole thing BTW) Boy that was my first shootoff and I got the audiance to laugh AT me! I was nervous as hell (and I knew I wasn't going to make it through because I'm almost never nervous when I shoot) Saul Kirsch and Ralf K. Jensen both gave me great advice like "watch your own steel and you'll be fast enough" "just hit the poppers and don't worry about the time" etc etc. Well I was standing there all nervous and when the timer buzzed, I had a good and deliberately slow run on the first 5 poppers. After the reload, I just brought the gun up and yanked a shot at the stop popper (which was 20 yds out) and I saw that his popper was falling immediately after I saw that my rear sight notch was empty! I tried to fix it but it was too late Ah at least I brought smiles to peoples faces I think I'm going to write a thread about this in "Little things I've noticed". It seems that all the things I messed up at the Europeans were stages I thought I could really burn down, you know. Like 4 shots on 5yd. targets, move to the next position and anoher 4 shots at close targets etc. Whenever my focus was on something else than punching holes in the A-zone, I messed up.
  16. Hmm, I don't think I can help you with this, because I have very large hands and I seem to love everything you hate But...with small hands and big recoil, I'd probably go for one of the Hogue rubber grips (the stock ones)
  17. Thanks Sam. I found that the trick to doing those fast reloads on command is not just endless repetition. It lies in being more aware of what your doing all the time. Find the elements of your reload that are inconsistent, and analyse and improve them. Keep up the good work! Björn BTW, my reloads are fast, but I'd sign for a consistent 1.85 every day
  18. I'm with you man! I stayed till the last teams got their prizes.
  19. I have two revolvers. I use only one. I bought the other one as my "soon to be main gun" (but I said that 2 years ago when I bought it ). They're both 625's. I use regular dummy rounds (reload them on my press without primers and powder). I practice my draws on various idiots on TV But mostly on my miniature targets on the wall.
  20. I use the old style latches. In my grip, my strong hand thumb lays flat on the latch. If I had one of those gaspedal type latches, I would have to retract my thumb to activate the latch (which I think would cost me some time) So the short answer is: I don't think other latches provide advantages.
  21. Those are friggin' good times you posted there Sam. Way to go!
  22. It depends. I don't have a regime/routine actually. I just have my gun laying round the house and kind of take it with me throught the house where ever I go. Whn I'm on the phone I do some High ready presentations for instance. Or when I'm watching TV I do my draws. When I listen to the radio I do reloads, stuff like that. All-inj I think I spend close to 8 hours a week with an empty revolver in my hand. Give or take a little.
  23. Hehe, I don't have them yet. I swear. Once I do, I promise to post it. I'll take some pictures of the gun I used as well. It's a real special piece of art. A $200 dollar "tackdriver" which had about a gazillion rounds through it when I bought it third hand. I can't be fired single action. It won't fire slow double action. The pins that hold the ejector star in place are missing and it has a lovely 8.5 pound trigger
