  1. Did you have a lot of them that high? If it was only a few random ones checking your powder weights more often won't do any good unless you just get lucky and catch one. Then again maybe something was already mentioned about this, I tend to miss stuff now and then!
  2. Factory 9mm isn't much over PF, I've chronoed some that barely made it. 45 is usually a different story.
  3. Thanks Steve!I've been wanting to post something the last couple days but figured it would turn into a rant, all the talk about reshoots and what MD's had to do makes me want to puke. At a match I usually just hang out and visit and really don't pay a lot of attention or worry about gaming but if I'm shooting a 9mm I always look to see how the poppers are falling if there are any, if I see one/some that seem to be hard to knock over when I shoot I'll take the extra 1/4 second to make sure I get a good high hit. Greg
  4. Nice job Steve! Could definately help out on one of those stages that just needs a little something more.
  5. I have a M&P9 4 1/4" that I have ran several thousand rounds thru with the SSS stainless guide rod and 13lb spring and have also ran a couple thousand rounds with the 11lb spring with no issues. I ran it with stock springs and the 13 and Apex springs and the 13 and 11 both. A friends Pro that I put Apex sear and FP block and springs in runs great with the SSS stainless guide rod and a 13lb spring, it ran ok with an 11lb spring and didn't really malfunction but sure seemed liked it wanted to at times.
  6. From what I've seen TG is very clean if loaded to around max, I've shot a lot of 9mm with a 115jhp and 4.5 TG and you would have to shoot a lot of them to get to the point where you had to clean.
  7. Normally when I see a case failure and clays was used I think set back or an overcharge (and it doesn't take a double charge)but with the looks of the primer and the way the case failed I would guess a bad case.
  8. I've shot thousands thru mine with CCI primers and have had no issues useing the Apex comp springs.
  9. I have installed the Apex parts in a few M&P's and the results were pretty consistent on all of them. With the Apex sear and firing pin block or a modified FP block and stock springs they were 3 3/4lb and with comp springs they were 2 3/4lb.
  10. Thanks a million for the info and updates , I'll continue to watch for updates since I'm trying to decide wether or not to order one for my 650.
  11. Make sure your not over crimping depending on what kind of crimp die your useing, the Lee factory crimp die works well.
  12. An old allen wrench makes good tips, cut to length with a dremel and grind ends as needed, I've used this for other applications but not for a roller handle.
  13. You can use your old dies unless it's a sqaure deal B can't you? I have a 650 and a 550 and have used dies from Dillon, Lee, Hornady and RCBS. On some of the dies with shorter bodies you can put the lock ring on the botton of the tool head.
  14. A burr on the case rim has caused the for me a time or two but is usually the ejector wire is to high. Make sure you have the ejector wire is pushed all the way down and barely off the shell plate.
  15. If I recall correctly this was addressed when I took my S.O. class and was told if they were plain clothes they had to use concealment and if they typical wore a full duty belt that they could use it and it had to be as worn on duty, all retention devices have to be used on the holster and mags pouches and full length batons and radios do not have to be used. Greg
  16. I ordered a case of 124gr JHP's about a month or so ago and they charged me the $5 residential fee, it was $305 delivered. Greg
  17. Page 15 of the rule book. "Purposely committing a procedural error because your score will be better even with the penalty"
  18. If they do it intentionally that could be an FTDR as well which is another 20 seconds.
  19. Metallic and open have a 2lb limit.. Thanks DW for the correction. 3.4 Weight Restrictions - There shall be no restriction on overall weight of pistols. The trigger pull shall not be less than 2 pounds.
  20. "Trigger on the CZTS will be too light for Bianchi Cup...he'd just have to spend money to increase the weight of the trigger" Only if shooting production (3.5#) all other divisions only require the firearm to be in safe operateing condition. I think!
  21. The data looks correct for Universal clays. There is a Universal clays and a Clays and the data is not interchangable both from Hodgdon so be sure which one your using because bad things can happen if you use Clays with data for Universal.
  22. I know there has been a couple of threads here in the past but here's a current one on another forum. http://forums.1911forum.com/showthread.php?t=284312 Greg
