  1. Once you have the cylinder cleaned up, you really need to clean it a bit more regularly. You might want to reconsider the hardness of your castings. I shot lead - semi or wads and would run a couple cylinders of fmj to clean the barrel/cylinder.
  2. Rob would shoot a Springfield...dunno about BE
  3. I just have a great deal of difficulty wrapping my head around that!
  4. Roger: More unbelivable what America will purchase!
  5. Cheese: The .38 Special revolver is calibrated to 158 grain ammunition, and smaller faster loads will tend to shoot low because the bullet emerges from the barrel sooner in the recoil cycle of the gun. The snubnose has a very short barrel so you need a load which burns its powder fast and develops some velocity. You wont get there with 231. The favorable results you see with the heavier bullet under bullseye.
  6. Here is a link to some bling: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...2BUCI%26otn%3D4
  7. Welcome to the Forum and if the 38/357 is the platform you have chosen, I would find a used 686 no dash and go from there.
  8. Brains & eggs was breakfast of deer camps 'round these parts. We used squirrel though.
  9. The only difference is quality control (tolerances) is more restricted with Match primers...well that and price.
  10. Todd Green of Pistol Training did a 60k torture test on 9 full size. Gun still ran with a cracked slide. Given the warranty, I'd say lifetime.
  11. Purchase the best one you can afford. I have 2 Lymans. One is 12 years old and the other is 4. The Dillon will replace one or both when they melt down.
  12. May be too late to remember, but was the feel and flip happening during the last rounds in the mag? I am leaning toward increased setback occuring recoil. Check your crimp. My 2¢
  13. Kyle: My sincere condolences. With your Dad's membership at Anchor Lodge, my fraternity lost a brother. S
  14. Congratulations Matt. I still remember mine 36 years ago.
  15. Great idea....although I am normally the doggie bag as I end up with everyone's leftovers on my plate. I finish it off.
  16. Tang works...it isn't just for space travel anymore.
  17. Glad you are all 'together' Roger....
  18. He will be okay...swelling will go down. Had same problem with mine few years back with water moccasin. Trust me he won't get near one again.
  19. Bingo. It is all about supply and demand. In this case supply is greater than demand. Uhhh no. It really isn't. If that were the case, you would never see dealers with multiple licenses (selling fords here, GMs there, Chevys down there) in the same area or have locations 40-60 miles apart. There is a franchise ....nevermind...+1 to what Jim said.
  20. Where was the RO when show clear command was given?
  21. Julie: Thanks for the heads up. Louisiana was well represented at IRC, Jerry won open (again), Elliot Aysen was 2nd in Limited and Annette Aysen was top lady.
  22. He is down the road from me. Thank for posting, although I don't reload lead, I know several shooters that are looking for source locally to save some shipping costs.
