  3. on all the ar's I custom build I lightly cut the feed ramp's down into the upper receiver about .150. this takes care of the first few rd's. nose dives.
  4. dawson shot minor at the texas state limited ONCE. times were no faster, droped points no higher, but droped points doubled because of minor. sad day
  5. the flat on top of slide look's to deep. the metal is left very thin at these points. add to this a to light recoil spring & you have a cracked slide
  6. all my guns run w/ buff's. the trick is to make sure they are trimmed down smaller than the guide rod heah[no drag] then install a great mag spring.[ ISMI]
  7. A comm. frame is .100 shorter than a gov. model. it will not work unless you cut the frame rails & guide tunnel back .100th's. on the gov. model
  8. I run stock STI followers in my mag's, ISMI recoil springs, they all measure .935 & I run a + 1 grams base pad. Have never had a problem in year's.. keep it simple.

  12. what you get from me for $995.00 is a new RRA heavy barrel/ my comp{ the best} & a 2 3/4 lb, creep free J.P. trigger.
  13. you have to have a take down hole in the guide rod to put a pin in to capture the recoil spring & plug in a bull barrel. don't think you want to put a hole in a murcury filled rod.
  14. I have been useing fed. or rem. reduced slugs for about 5 yrs. have shot the same BENELLI for 10 yrs. Last weekend after sighting in , I tried a full power rem. slug off the bench, & after a 5 year lay-off of full power slug's, I thought the damn gun blew up. Now I know why I switched to low recoil, besides being old & feeble.
  15. ON A CUSTOMER SUPPLIED FRAME, I GET $ 1800.00 & THIS INCLUDES HARDCHROME & SHIPPING.
  16. one more time , YOU CANNOT USE ONE ON A edge W/ A BULL BARREL.
  17. I will be bringing one also for yo'all to try. later
  18. all the 6" guns I build have 11 oz. slides. Same as a 5" w/ flat top. This gives you the same sensatition of slide speed of a 5" gun. 6" heavy slides will cycle slow & make the muzzle dip. My guns weigh 38 oz's.
  19. cannot use one w/ a bull barrel.
  20. all of my comp's are limited, open, & limited tactial legal. 1 in. dia., 2.95 in. long. flat top & sides. Very compact & light.
  21. the one that I build. ask kurt miller , tony holmes, todd salmon, or even ask me which one shoots the flatest.
