  1. I own and shoot both SV's and Glocks for different games, the SV's for USPSA and the Glocks for GSSF. I started shooting a G35 in USPSA, but felt the single action trigger and weight of the SV allowed for smoother runs. The Glocks run by Sveigny and Vogel seem to do a great job thereby reinforcing the "indian not the arrow" idea presented earlier. I will continue to shoot and carry both because I don't feel hindered by either. Good luck on your journey!
  2. I had the same curiosity based on the thread title as lugnut. It will take alot of reps and practice, good luck!
  3. Micah, Do you use a 550 or 650 for reloading?
  4. I believe you already know your situation pretty well, now it is time to work!
  5. I agree with the extra tool heads from a time saving standpoint. I have dies and tool heads for all the calibers I load.
  6. Street got you on that one Chris!
  7. My current experience is with both the SV plastic and SS grips on my Limited guns. There is definitely an increase in weight with the steel grip, but it is back in your hand and adds to balance the the gun. I liked the feel so much I am having SV build me an IMM Open gun with the SS grip.
  8. As a Chem-E. I don't believe it is that straight forward!
  9. That is a motley crew! Happy B'Day!
  10. Nice, hope to see some other colors.
  11. I just shot up 500 Wolf SR primers in my Open gun with 100% success with them going bang. The shooting on the other hand, well ... another story.
  12. Gbart, Do you have a new best friend!

I wish I could have run in your squad at A6. It looks like I'll be the lone ranger for A5 too This thing called work keeps getting in my way! Nice shooting this past weekend!
  14. Very nice! We have come a long way babe!
  15. The Rocket connector is very sweet and I have them in all my competition Glocks.
  16. For the most part I think it will depend on your budget and no 38 super and 9 major are not the same. From a true performance standpoint 38 super comp is likely the best. 9 major is becoming popular, because people were once able to get cheap brass, I'm not sure if that is correct anymore. My Bedell shorty in 38 SC runs flawlessly and I have SV building another 38 SC Open gun for me. Brazos makes some fine guns and there are many other good smiths out there. Good luck in your choice, just get a gun from a reputable smith that will stand behind his product.
  17. I have and use a CED M2 chrono and have noticed about a 50fps drop when I use the light box vs. ambient light. The difference in my MG121 IFP in my Bedell 38SC shorty is consistently a change from 172 to 166 PF.
  18. The only true way is to have ammo or a projectile that moves at a known velocity. I don't know of such a beast at this time, but I will be helping with chrono next month and guy that will be leading that stage has more experience so I'll ask him.
