Will the HS6 work in as a SC load for a "shorty"?

I am new to reloading and on the advice of someone knowledgable in the shooting industry purchased some HS6 powder for my USPSA shooting, 8 pounds to be exact. I now find the powder burns too slow for my 40 and 9 mm. I was experiencing failure to chamber rounds after 140 - 150 shots during matches because of the deposits in the barrel preventing the bullets from chambering. I'm using WSP primers, what I have left! What other handgun application could I use this powder for, all ideas are welcomed.

I have one of Angus's Shadows and have to load it short in the 1.1 or less range. Works fine as long as I stay below 1.1 OAL.

Dan, I'm sure you'll do what you must to get the RO job, but please don't show up at the Milford match in a dress as I'll have to burn my eyes out. Good luck!

Someone at a match mentioned the need to practice with loaded (dummy rounds) mags. When I did I found out why I always had to adjust my mag holders during a match. I was dry fire practicing with empty mags, but not any more. The difference in the weight between the empty and full mags caused the holders to need a different tension. Might be obvious to most and should have been to me, but I'm a newbie and will claim that as my reason.

I am also nearsighted. I purchased glasses from Decot and the guy that specs out the glasses recommended backing my dominant right eye script down by 25%. It works perfectly, nice crisp front sight and I can still see the distance targets. I recommend the Decot folks!

I added a Dawson Ice magwell with brass plug to my G24 and it counters the weight of the gun's nose nicely. The magwell also causes a nice tight fit, (I like it tight :-)) with your hand. My recommendation would be try this direction first.

I have a Bedell Shorty coming in a few weeks. I like to move fast which I hope means I can keep up with this gun. Jasmap, like you I went back and forth over the options and hope I chose well. I'm sure we can't go wrong, but I'll let you know soon!

Man I wish I had read these post before I bought the 10 pack of Bolen springs and followers for my SV mags.

Ray, I purchased a Redding press and GR-X die mentioned above for eliminating the "Glock Bulge" and it works just as you described by pushing the bulge out as the brass goes all the way through the sizing die. Strongly recommend the GR-X! Now if I can just find a die that I can fit into to remove my bulge.
