Any loads that will get to 130 PF and still be relatively accurate? Also any "soft" 357 loads? I'm thinking of trying to get a 158 gr 357 going 1050 out of a 6" barrel so I can make major. Revolver is just about having fun for me, and I like big booms. I also have a lot of H110 laying around leftover from 30 carbine reloads.

XD Custom shop puts their carry package at $230 and the "production" package is $575. Anyone have any experience with their work? I was thinking of just having a local smith do some action work. The biggest thing that's interesting to me is the action job with overtravel adjustment ($145.00 on its own from Custom shop). Someone school me.

Just to make sure I am correct G34/G35 = .245 G17 = .215 (this is what I have now) Would the .215 also work on the Glock 19?

Is the FN SLP lefty-friendly?

I see JTischauser monthly at a local indoor IPSC match. I've got a Stag 3L flat-top.... right now it has an Aimpoint ML2 (wish I would have at least got the ML3! if not an ACOG) and a MAGPUL BUIS and no front sight. Any suggestions on gas block front sights? The standard ones are too low. Shotgun... I don't have one. It seems like a lot of cake vs. pie when it comes to remington vs. mossberg. I was thinking of getting a Rem 870 or a Rem 1100 to start with.... I want to go through some training classes and shoot some 3 gun with a "beater" to get started out. I was just going to get one of the home defense type ones with an already extended mag tube. The biggest thing is being a lefty. The Mossy appears more lefty friendly because of the safety placement.... But I don't know how much of an issue that really is. Ideally.... I'll do the big production shoot at USSA in Tulsa this Fall - and then start gearing up for 3-gun. School and family make it so that going to more than 1-2 events a month is difficult.... as well as the economy and being a student. The RCBS Rock Chucker is next on my list of things to grab.... and I imagine that will go along way to making the sport more affordable in the long-run.

Obviously one can't compete on the PGA with a set of rackety old clubs bought at a pawn shop or found in a grandfather's garage... but one can at least start playing golf and get a feel for the game while having a good time. I've already got a USPSA production set-up, and it costs plenty on its own! I'd like to try a 3-gun in the not too distant future.... So I'm wondering what some of the better "economy" options are out there. Heavy metal division is a no-go because of .308 ammo cost. I'm a little confused about divisions - but what's the most analogous to USPSA Production? Could one run a pump shotgun and a carbine with iron sights? Obviously this won't be the most competitive set-up.... but I'm just looking for something functional at this point. Then as I figure out my interests, strengths, and weaknesses - I can upgrade later down the road. Safe and Fun is what drew me to "practical shooting" - and as long as I am safe and having fun - it's okay if it takes a few more years for my equipment to catch up to the top-line stuff!

I'm just wondering if the extra cost is really justified.... It's not for me but for a friend who wants to get into USPSA and won't shoot a Glock.

Between the XD and the XDM.... is there any noticeable difference in bench-rest accuracy? I know the XDM totes a "match-grade" barrel.... but er.... what's the difference between that barrel and the regular XD barrel?

I'm running a 3rd Gen G17.... and I'm wondering if the "new" 4th gen mags will run in it? Is there a chart online that shows which generation mags are compatible with different generation of Glocks? Sometimes I wish Glock would stop reinventing the wheel....

Are there any pro's or con's to the ambi-mag release in the 21SF? I've noticed it seems to be "sticky" as in it's harder to seat the mags, and it's harder to drop them. Any fixes?

I would eventually want to turn it into an open gun.... I know it probably couldn't beat the STI's out there - but it would be fun anyway! I'm just curious if sans red dot sight if it would be legal for limited?

Are there any people shooting at the "M" level with stock 5.5# connectors? It could be entirely subjective - but the 3.5# feels mushier.

If they made the G36 legal for single-stack, I would use it.
