I like (very much!): 1. Being able to walk into a store, see a pistol that I really like, pay for it and walk out with it like I did a couple days ago! (New XD-m 5.25 .45) (because of #2 below) So I guess my noun is "Freedom". 2. Being able to have a "Concealed Weapon License" (there are many names for it, but that's what mine actually says on the front of it). I have had the license for four years and have never carried once, but I like that I can if I need to, like during a hurricane evac or whatever. (We've been in FL for 5 years now, born/raised in CA) I guess the noun is still "Freedom". Cheers!

I'm just curious- Did yours not come with the fiber front sight? I just got one and it already has a fiber front site that is really bright and easy to see. In the unlikely event that everyone doesn't already know about this, the XD(m) in caliber .45 ACP is now for sale. I purchased one on Sunday, May 30 at Scottsdale Gun Club here in AZ. They had nine of them in stock on the day I made the purchase. The salesman told me that had sold one since their initial stock arrived. I purchased an all black one, and know that they didn't have any OD/black bi-tone ones available. That color combination doesn't show up as available on the Springfield website, but the salesman told me that SGC has some on order. The new pistol has a 13-round magazine capacity and uses standard XD .45 magazines. I purchased three spare magazines in addition to the two that came with the pistol. I already own an XD(m) in 9MM caliber and like it very, very much. I didn't have that pistol with me when I purchased the new one, and didn't think about getting one of SGC's rental XD(m) pistols in 9MM to make a side by side comparison, but to me, the guns feel identical dimensionally. If you like the XD(m) in 9MM or .40 S&W, I will predict you will like the .45 ACP as well. I never made it home with mine, as I was only about 30 minutes away from Kent Singletary's place at KS Customs in Glendale, AZ. I took it directly to him for a trigger job and the installation of a Dawson Precision FO front sight. I had these two things done to the 9MM when I first purchased it, and could not be happier with the outcome. When I received my 24" NON-ported barrel a few months ago it came with an XX-full turkey choke only! (went straight to the junk box) I was so happy to get the barrel I didn't care and bought a nice Briley extended modified choke for it. Oh, edit: BTW I paid the $170 plus shipping so I did get kinda ripped off...

Mine did that a few times when I had the Nordic clamp on real tight. I have a Nordic tube on it that holds 10 and no problems, you must have a burr or something snagging. I shot a match in July in FL, hotter than a frying pan and had no problems running 10 in the tube all day. I'm sure you've checked your spring length?

Doesn't stop CA USPSA shooters either! 10-round pistol mags? Never see 'em. 10-round AR-mags? Never see 'em.

I've shot over 100 managed recoil slugs and a couple boxes of shoulder killers through my modified extended choke and had no issues.

After seeing the originals, and seeing that they use a different actress, I don't think that'll work for me. That chic is just so right for the story, the one in the trailers for the American versions seems so soft and ingenuous in comparison.

I just got my October issue of American Rifleman (NRA) and it's got a GREAT BIG ARTICLE on shotgun for 3-gun. Author says gas shotguns don't work for 3-gun. Hmm.

I wasn't sure where to post this but here goes: My bro lives in San Diego, wants to get an XD-m. Some FFL dealer in CA told my brother that they're "not on the list" and so can't be sold there. Can anyone confirm this? Thank you in advance.

LOL......if you miss the elimination selection target, that really ought to count as a vote for yourself. LOL! Apparently hitting the wood frame still counted as a vote on the elimination range. From Sarah's interview a couple of weeks ago, apparently she was hitting the wood frames while riding the stage coach, but they didn't count them as hits. Interesting how on a short distance stand and shoot the frame counts, but on a longer distance riding a bouncing platform the frame doesn't count. I think that the purpose of an exploding target is to make it explode for it to count. Like steel- hit it all day but if it doesn't fall it doesn't count.

That doesn't apply to 3- gun shooters I guess I see new ones post all the time from CA and they have regular old AR's, 22 round pistol mags and shotguns that hold 9, which are supposed to be illegal there.

Haven't really seen a movie with a sodomizer scene since the basement scene in Kill Bill.
