Wow! I just watched your video Spanky....CONGRATS!

May sound sarcastic, not meant to be, but get your hits! "Fast" kills in IDPA if you dont score hits. Number one thing - have FUN! The rest will take care of itself. I see too may people get all wigged out on match day. Truth is it's too late to worry anyway, the day is here! The preperation before the match is where your money is made and you have a solid plan. So, again, on match day relax, pay attention and enjoy!

I need some assistance in the Lawrence, Kansas area. My 21 year old daughter/college student is looking into getting a handgun and Concealed Carry permit. I am trying to offer the best advice I can but it is a little difficult living in Maryland, email and phone calls only go so far. Can anyone suggest a good gun store that offers instruction, Concealed classes, offers gun try-outs or all the above? I really want her to get some good help in making this serious choice. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! Steve

Mine lasted more than 6 years. From what I have read some only lasted a few months. I must say the internet sure has made life easier in many ways. I looked at the pictures on toyotanation of the broken solder on the chip and when I opened mine up it was EXACTLY as shown in the pic. The little numbers on the chip were identical and the break was the same as well. Bigpops don't pay anybody to fix it as it truly is an easy DIY job. Yes....but you never saw me solder before! (worse than my talent with a Dremel tool)

Funny you post this...ours just died and Toyota wants a fortune to fix it. It appears this system is junk! Thank you!

Crap talkers Yes, they motivate me more than anything. But the sport is just FUN. I do this with my family and I know I am very fortunate. Plus, at 47, I know this is one of the last sports I can still excell at based upon the effort I put into it. Did I mention the FUN factor!?

You will find, especially shooting Open, that there is a need in checking the dot setting with the different locations on the COF. (shady vs. sun lit targets). I have found, including at the Nationals, as long as you ask for permission first and explain your intentions, the RO's will accommodate you. Just be sure to ask first before stepping away from the X's. I learned my lesson at a major match this past season as I moved around some walls to "dial in". Almost DQ'd. I was unaware of the rule...my fault.

Ditto to this...sort of. A very wise GM recently told me the perfect crimp leaves a hair like line around the bullet when pulled....and I mean a "hair". I checked some of my new loads (for a new gun) and found my crimp was a little too much, doing as I always have above. I backed it off a little and saw an increase in accuracy. Good luck! Steve

A 1050 with a bulletfeeder is the cats meow. I average 100 rounds in about 7 minutes and that is while being very careful. Others will debate it but....I also love the electric primer filler. To me they go hand in hand. As I am cranking away a new batch of ammo more primers are being sorted. Good luck! Steve
