  1. If you're friends with Yamil Sued on Facebook you'll find just what you're looking for in his Steel Challenge 2010-1 album of photographs. If you're not friends with him send him a request. Ask him and he might let you use it.
  2. Same here; installed on my 9mm STI Trojan.
  3. Here's my 9mm Trojan. I use it for IDPA ESP. It's wearing a Dawson ICE no gap magwell now.
  4. I enjoy being an SO most of the time, but it is no competitive advantage, that's for sure. While most guys are back loading magazines and programming the stage you're working. Only one of the clubs I shoot with offers to let SO's shoot for free. It's rewarding, but it's also a lot of work and can make your shooting suffer.
  5. Personally if funds were tight (and when aren't they?) I would buy an appropriate gun for one division and shoot the snot out of it in that division while slowly saving up for another gun to shoot in another division. You can only shoot one gun at a time, and your Glock 34 is a great gun for SSP and Production, so you'll be able to shoot every IDPA and USPSA match that you can with a very competitive gun. In the meantime you can tuck money away for a (separate) Limited or Open blaster. I'm assuming that you'r relatively new to the sport (forgive me if that's an incorrect assumption). It's tempting to want to jump around the divisions, but sticking with one gun for the first while will help you get your fundamentals down without having to worry about getting used to a different gun every week. Whenever you're trying to make one gun work in more than one division it usually comes with at least some compromise.
  6. As if shooting a revolver wasn't exclusive enough.
  7. I got to try my Trojan with Dawson ICE magwell in another IDPA box this weekend. It fit perfectly...as if the box was made for it.
  8. Congrats on your win at the Master's! I also shot it and came in 2nd ESP SS (behind a guy that was 2 seconds off Division Champion- DOH!). The Master's was a great match...fortunately the rain slacked up eventually and it turned into a nice day.
  9. My safety's been reversed (I'm a lefty), so don't let that throw you off.
  10. I took these for a friend of mine a while back that had the same problem: I realize this is more than you asked for but I had them so I figgered I'd post them. Hope that helps!
  11. My Trojan has been in two IDPA boxes since installation of the Dawson ICE magwell. One was a perfect fit, in the other the muzzle and beavertail both lightly touched the sides. The magwell was a non-issue in both. I use Dawson basepads on my Tripp magazines.
  12. This pretty much sums it up. Several (probably a dozen folks) of us spoke with the MD again after the match...hopefully he'll do something about it this time.
  13. I'm glad I saw this message...cause I would have been FREAKING OUT if I came in and this forum was down! Now I can prepare myself. Maybe I'll get some much needed dry-fire practice in. Thanks for all you hard work, Brian! Edited to add...I deleted a bunch of my PM's to maybe cut down the rebuild time a hundredth of a second or so. Just doing my part.
  14. I think you might have spoken too soon, after seeing him at last night's match. Maybe he'll get the hint one day.
  15. I'm looking to purchase a Dawson ICE no gap magwell for my STI Trojan in 9mm for use in IDPA ESP. As it is right now, with the STI steel magwell and MSH my gun weighs 42.7 ounces (with an empty Tripp Research Cobra mag). Does anyone know what the weight of each of these parts is? Is the Dawson magwell gonna put me over the 43 ounce limit? I called Dawson and the gentleman wasn't able to help me. Thanks in advance.
  16. Tripp Research Cobra mags run like a champ in my 9mm STI Trojan.
  17. I think the question should be "who SHOULD win Top Shot". Unfortunately, due to the format, the best shooter isn't necessarily the one that's gonna win.
  18. That happens all the time in IDPA. My typical response is something like "There's a timer and a score sheet...it's a game."
  19. Herein lies the problem. Most of us have more than one gun that we use, whether it's for different divisions or games. I'll go out on a limb and say the majority of paintballers only have one marker. It's much simpler and cheaper for us to get a standalone device that can work for all of our firearms.
  20. +1 on the Ready Tactical speedloader pouches.
  21. In my mind there are only TWO types of reloads in IDPA- slidelock reload, and reload with retention. Since the rulebook CLEARLY STATES that the reload with retention and the tac-load are interchangeable, and since the RWR is faster (for me, anyway), I have removed the term "tac-load" and any semblance of the technique from my mind. This discussion reminds me of a cartoon I saw years ago. It showed a marching band with every member except one marching on the same foot. The caption read, "Look...little Johnny is the only one in step!"
  22. my problem is i want something that is both legal for uspsa production and esp/ssp in idpa Regardless of modifications the XDm will never be legal for IDPA SSP since it's a single action.
  23. Congrats on the match win and bump this weekend Alex. Been a long time comming. We'll have some more battles in the future provided I get bumped someday. Nope...I'm shooting ESP SS now, and you're already an ESP EX. Thanks, Bill. Your day is coming soon.
  24. SSP-EX via match bump today. ESP-SS SSR-SS
