  1. I like it. It provides a good grip but since it does't cover as much as stippling it is easier to reposition your grip if isn't right. lt also looks better than stippling.
  2. I actually like the Glock rear sight. But I get a steel one from Glock or Midway. They're cheap. I use a factory height Dawson F/O front sight. Zev connector and springs. I have one stippled 34, a grit/glue 34 and I shoot my Gen 4, Glock 35 as it came from the factory. Dry fire and practice are the most important.
  3. My MPX had a horrible trigger, I emailed Geisselle about the MPX trigger and this was their response: "Thank you for contacting us. Please keep in mind our triggers are designed for the AR-15 MIL-SPEC 5.56 platform and unfortunately we have not tested them in the SIG MPX platform. Customers have had success with our AR-15 triggers in the MPX and we would recommend a 2 stage G2S, SSA or SSA-E over a 3 Gun trigger due to the longer sear engagement and the better chance of the hammer resetting because the bolt on the MPX comes back more violently then a buffered AR15. Have a great day and please let us know if we can further assist you."
  4. Started with high school graduation, then college, followed with Infantry Officer's basic course and three-year tour in Panama. The last month of the 80's was Operation Just Cause.
  5. I've seen several including some guitar cases. https://www.amazon.com/Hazard-Battle-Guitar-Shaped-Padded-Rifle/dp/B00HR0A95M http://store.sigsauer.com/sig-sauer-mpx-deployment-bag-black.html
  6. I had a similar problem. Make sure the spacer in the bar is in place. Also check to make sure the powder die is not set too low in the tool head.
  7. I used lanolin before and it does need to cleaned off. Hornady One Shot seems to evaporate rather quickly. I don't clean it off and it doesn't seem to gather dust or dirt. Make sure you use a lot for rifle cases.
  8. It depends. Is it a specialized gun that will be hard to sell? Then no refund. Is it popular and will sell easy? Then maybe a refund. But more important - What was the understanding when the order was placed? That is the bottom line. If you find another buyer the dealer may hook you up with the refund.
  9. I've noticed that a lot of the non-toxic ammo has crimped primers. I can usually feel them when I'm resizing in my 550.
  10. If the shooter was in production, it should be a bump to open, where the mag placement would be legal, no need for procedural penalty. If they were in limited, then no penalty as that is an allowable location for spare ammo. If they showed up for production but had a comp on their gun, you wouldn't give them a per shot procedural and a bump to open, you would just bump them to open and it is done. The bump would only occur if the shooter used them. Or am I misreading "carrying them in apparel pocket(s) forward of the restriction point will be allowed providing they are not removed from the apparel pocket" ? The original poster didn't say they had been used. If they were used then there would be a penalty.
  11. Unless he used them to reload, it seems like a bad call: 5.2.4 Should the division restrict the location of the magazines or speed loading devices, carrying them in apparel pocket(s) forward of the restriction point will be allowed providing they are not removed from the apparel pocket(s) between the “standby” command and the command “ if clear, hammer down and holster”. (e.g. – a magazine may be retrieved from a front pocket to facilitate loading before the start signal or while unloading at the end of a COF without penalty). If they were used to reload then it should have been procedurals and a bump to open for a production shooter. This is a good question because I was under the impression production shooters could not have mags ahead of the hipbones at any time after make ready. It is good to revisit the rule book now and then. Thanks for posting.
  12. They built my holster: http://www.redeyetacticalgear.com/
  13. I load 124 for 9mm loaded to 1.125 in mixed brass. I am starting transitioning to coated bullets (for costs) with 3.8 grains of Titegroup 124 Bayou Bullets averaged 1088 and 124 Blue Bullets averaged 1080, PF was 133-136. Std deviation was 9.6 for both loads 124 MTG with 4.1 TG averaged 1091 and 133-137 PF with an SD of 11.
  14. The Hodgdon reloading page has a load for 200 grain jacketed bullets and titegroup. Lead or coated bullets would be a bit faster than jacketed bullets. http://www.hodgdonreloading.com/
  15. I transitioning from jacketed to coated bullets so I'm testing several brands. Is it normal to have blue stains on your fingers when handling blue bullets? When I loaded some test loads I noticed the blue stains on my hands whenever I handled the bullets. The stains reappeared when I loaded my magazines. I like them otherwise. Thanks, Dave
  16. Here's a link to Cavern Cove webpage. http://www.caverncoverimfire.com/ They have a great facility and know how to run matches. It should be a great match.
  17. Hornady case lube works great. Start with spray of lube up into your resizing die.
  18. Does the Delta Point Pro fit on the Delta Point adapter plate on the Glock MOS?
  19. Redeye Tactical made mine out of kydex. It works great so far. After Michael figured out some tricks the holster looks good and holds the set-up securely. His price was way less than a race holster. https://www.redeyetacticalgear.com/
  20. I installed the plate as Bowenbuilt describes. But from their my installation was different. I installed the weight tapping it with a mallet to make sure it was completely seated. I tightened the set screws until the made firm contact with the plate. I removed the weight and plate. Then using the divots from the set screws as a guide, I drilled holes through the plate. I re-installed the plate and weight. The holes allowed me to set the screws flush when I set them. A little thread lock and I was ready to run.
  21. He did have mine, but he just needed the frame weight to mold it. https://www.redeyetacticalgear.com/
  22. I was busy moving a shooter in a Nook and didn't hear the stage brief. When the firing order was announced the first shooter was in the powder room so suddenly I was first. I ran the stage per my plan and I felt I'd done well. After my run the RO asked if I knew it was three rounds on each target...............................
  23. A friend uses a cement mixer from harbor Freight. http://www.harborfreight.com/1-1-4-quarter-cubic-ft-compact-cement-mixer-91907.html Use a super coupon and it will even cheaper.
