  1. Taran Tactical +10’s have worked without any issues for me. Easy off and on for cleaning and maintenance. Plenty of rounds for most any USPSA stage. The Goliath I have has also worked with no issues. A bit overkill maybe but it works. I do load my ammo a tad on the short side. I also run ETS mags. Base pads aren’t difficult to remove and they run well. I haven’t been able to get them to work with any of the base pads I’ve tried so they’re just my go to 30 rounders.
  2. I tried the Tacoma coupler, varied screw tension, mag lengths and spring combos. Never had any success getting it to feed reliably. Apparently my mileage did vary. Switched over to the TF 10 round extension. Only 40 rounds but zero feed/function issues.
  3. Thanks! I’ll give that a try. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I heard about the CZ Custom extension issues so I took a chance with the TF 10 round extensions. I have had zero issues with them. I got the Taccom splice and have had mixed results. Only got it to work using a 20 + a 30 round mag. It worked on occasion but was never reliable enough for me to compete with it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Yep, Burris makes it in both 3 moa and 8 moa. Check out MidwayUSA, Amazon, etc. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  6. My CZ Scorpion has run flawlessly. 4K rounds thru it so far without a hiccup. I did the HB Industries trigger upgrade and replaced the right side safety with a AK style lever. Like those upgrades, mags are reasonably priced and are readily available. I’m running a Burris FF3 with an 8moa dot. No issues with it either. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  7. I bought the Prostock charging handle from HBI, $35. No issues at all with my stock carbine hand guard and no more beat up knuckles! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  8. Used to be a primer snob. Only Federal was good enough. As they got harder to find, I used Win, CCI, Rem and Magtech. Never had issues with any of them (except Rem like d_striker) in 40 S&W or 9mm, in any guns (no experience with revolvers though). When the primer shortage got really bad a few years back I needed small pistol primers and couldn't find anything but Tula. Got a great deal on them. I'm thru 10k of them with zero malfunctions and consistent chrono stats in tuned CZ's and 1911/2011's. Gave some to friends to try. They had the same results in steel pistols with hammers, though they were unacceptable in striker guns and revos. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

  10. So far just using my PROD load for my Shadow. 135gr Bayou coated, 3.8gr N320, Tula SP primers. PF in my 16" Scorpion is running 143. A little bouncy but manageable. Accuracy is excellent. I'm going to try some different powders and some 147gr Bayous to see if I can get the PF down. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Thanks for the responses. I'll check them out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I've seen the available mag loaders for the Scorpion and was hoping for something like the Lula. Got an email from Maglula CEO Guy Tal saying that they're in process. Should be available in April-May. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Looking for mag pouches for my Scorpion to use in USPSA matches. So far I've found these: http://www.furycarrysolutions.com/Magazine-Pouch-Order.html http://redhilltactical.com/products/czscorpion http://gearcraftholsters.com/cz-scorpion-magazine/ https://www.ktach.us/products/cz-scorpion-evo-mag-carrier They all look pretty similar. Any experiences you've had with these makers or any others would be greatly appreciated.
  14. Anyone here using the CZ Scorpion version? Have you had good success with them? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  15. It's just as stable with the strong mount as it is without. I like the Dillon bullet tray and it's designed to work with the SM so that's a plus. My bench is kinda low. I like to sit and reload so a bar stool is just right with the press on the SM. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

  17. Bladetech DOH, DAA racer pouches and DAA or CR Speed belt. For mags, I used to use only CZ 19 rounders but after trying the 16 round Mecgar AFC mags I find that I just leave the CZ mags in the safe. The CZ springs I replace after a year with +10% from Wolfe. The Mecgars I've been running the factory mag springs so far with no issues. Probably put +10's in after I've used them up.
  18. We don't have near many shooters as you (25 on average). We setup 4+1. As we only have 4 bays, we normally setup the classifier and a speed shoot up in one bay. We try to keep our squads @ 10-12. More or less than that adds an extra hour or so on the range. Sometimes to get the squads balanced and into that 10-12 size, the staff will form up a very all squad and shoot on an empty stage then use our downtime to check in on the other squads and keep them moving. Works well for us but we do have a lower turnout.
  19. 10 or 11# recoil spring, 11.5# mainspring, 135 gr, 132PF ammo. Runs flat, soft shooting and reliable.
  20. I'm a middlin shooter and generally do pretty well on classifiers unless there are a lot of noshoots ( one round always seems to wander into the white), but I always tank the classifier at one club I shoot. Five years and never one above 22% till last month. Must be my new Akai Custom!!
  21. I've had the strip and skylight on my LNL for a year or so. Just got a 650 and added same to it. I thought the lighting at my bench was good but I wouldn't reload without the LEDs anymore.
  22. Just took the plunge recently and couldn't be happier. My old Hornady LNL was a good machine. Much simpler but much slower. It refused to do 40's so I bought the 650. 2 rejects so far in a 2000 rounds. Not the 650's fault, just bad brass. Make sure to get the case feeder. Dillon dies too. You'll smile every time you pull the handle. Make sure the machine is level and heed what others have said about keeping things lubed. I've come to understand that the blue kool aid is good thing.
  23. CR Speed belt, Bladetech DOH holster and DAA Racer pouches. I like the Racers mounted so the back of the mags are against the belt, bullets pointing out. The belt clasp is narrow on these pouches so they take up less real estate. No more reaching around to the middle of my back for the last couple of mags.
  24. My setup and results matched up with Atlas's. I've since added a CGW extended FP. As long as I pay attention to primer seating I have zero issues with the newer brass colored Tula SP's. Good thing as it looks like I'll be getting some more from a couple of friends that had no luck in their plastic, striker type guns.
  25. I have used the CZ SP01 19 rnd factory mags for several years. They worked OK with the factory springs but I replaced them w/ +10's after a year (routine maint), still all good. Bought some Mecgar AFC 16 rounders last year and I like them just as much. For mag pouches I use 5 DAA Racers. I like that you can mount them so mags are perpendicular to the belt. Five mags take up very little belt real estate.
