Just an update:
The show opened and it was thrilling. The reviews have been positive and the after show party was awesome (Tavern on the Green).
I'm so very proud of her.

Party:
My wife (Donna) is a professional stage actress and she’ll be performing in the show “Ragtime” as featured character Emma Goldman on Broadway.
From the Washington Post article on her:
“Known for her larger-than-life singing voice (both in range and volume), take-charge stage presence, and knack for comedy and big emotions, Migliaccio says a Broadway career has "never been anything that I'd aimed for. My life is down here in D.C., so I kind of feel like I backed into it . . . but I'm really excited about it."
To say I’m extremely proud of her is an understatement.
Anyhow, I wanted to share the news.

PlayBill "Ragtime" Cast Announcement
Just got back from Chi-town and Magnificent Mile is still very friendly (http://www.themagnificentmile.com/) Starts at the river and goes to the Hancock building. Go to the bar in the Hancock instead of the observation deck. The Navy pier is also good for a stroll. If you like to visit the Willis (Sears) Tower, plan on a long wait (2hrs) or go about 30 minutes before closing - no lines. Chicago Art Institute - free on Thursday & Fridays (http://www.artic.edu/aic/). They were also free shows/concerts in the park so there's plenty to do there.
For high-end steak, either Gibson's or the Chop House would be my recommendations (very pricey) - make reservations well in advance. For breakfast/lunch, I like a place call Yolk - reasonable rates and good food (http://www.yolk-online.com/)
