  1. I have two. A JP5 which is awesome and my first SBR built by Alamo Precision Rifles. It's a 5.5" with a Octane9 can on it. I took the SBR to our range day yesterday and set up a stage where everyone had to shoot it at the 25. The guys LOVED it. My whole family enjoys shooting it as well. But, the JP5 with the 14.7" barrel is almost as quiet with subs and it shoots way softer. Everybody should own one PCC even if you don't shoot PCC in matches......like me
  2. The RHT dropped and offset is a no go according to our local AC or whatever his title is. I've gone back to a race holster for USPSA, but for IDPA with a cover garment, I'm not sure it's worth the trouble to chase the holster advantage.
  3. Call Benny. Just call early before he gets into the pickle juice!!
  4. There was a time, maybe 32 years ago, I probably could have quoted something to that effect!!
  5. I don't know much about chronograph radars, but there was a time when I was handy with one in a patrol car. The closer to 90 degrees to the unit the better and more accurate the measurement is. If someone is a lane or two away, it's going to being in the wide spot of the beam and less likely to be detected........I guess.
  6. I'm fairly certain they flip as they enter the blue thing on the way down the tube. I had to up the vibration to get them out of the bowl. It's a PITA.
  7. Well, I decided to give the RF100 another try last week for a 1000 round loading session. It gets them up the ramp and into the tube now and I case gauged those rounds today and had 15 upside down primers for 1000 rounds. Acceptable or not?
  8. Buy some MBX mags and be done with it or just be satisfied with less capacity.
  9. No Sir. its a striker fired pistol with a light trigger pull.
  10. Did you watch the video? It didn't fire by itself.....
  11. My 320s love 124s. So, I've gone away from 147s completely. The 2011s shoot all of them well.
  12. Todd is a retired Oregon Police office and local Ma shooter. I think he did a great job explaining why some of these AD's have happened. I checked my Safariland and it didn't allow access to the trigger.
  13. Makes sense. If mine wasn't the 30moa circle, I'd probably do the same. The one nice thing about the 2.5 MOA dot, is it made shooting C zone steel at 100 yards a piece of cake yesterday.
  14. Buy the small TXG grip. Get the Trigger and Guide Rod from Grayguns.
  15. I bought several of those for my guys. Quick fix if you can't get to the range.
  16. I installed a Brazos Custom ignition kit (most of it) in a Staccato P and dropped the trigger pull to a nice 2.75 pounds that lights CCI primers 100%. I used the hammer, strut and sear spring. I kept the stock sear and mainspring because the thumb safety wouldn't work with the Brazos sear. It's been a long time since I went to 1911 armorer's school. How much of the pull weight is sear spring vs. sear/hammer hook engagement?
  17. I had a couple CK pistols that ran like a top, but didn't keep them long enough to determine long term durability.
  18. I'm curious which you prefer if you run a Holosun optic? I've been using the dot, but I've been dry firing the circle dot a little bit and like the speed of it. My actual preference has been larger 5-7 MOA dot on other brands, but I ended up with a couple Holosuns on pistol deals I couldn't refuse.
  19. I've been using a cheap Prochrono for 10+ years, but I'd like to get one to use indoors as well. Hows this one compare to Lab Radar?
  20. Adam has a video on it if you care to look. His theory is the lube takes the dirt and grime out with it. He, like most of us, prefers shooting to cleaning. https://atlasgunworks.com/blog/stop-greasing-your-guns-v2
  21. I'm nearly 55 and I'm starting to get the big bumps on the first joint of my index fingers. No pain yet. But, I weight train 4 days a week and usually shoot 3-4 matches a month plus a bit of live/dry fire. Point being, stay active, but don't overdo it. Maybe take some Aleve before you go shoot.
  22. I've adopted AGW's clean/lube philosophy. Clean every 2-3K. Lube before every range session or match.
  23. Why would you go a year without cleaning it? Unless of course you have shot less than a couple K through it.
