  1. I think the Springer Precision hanger might be IDPA legal "again". Will measure it this weekend......
  2. THe XC us a 4.6" barrel with a single port comp to make 5"
  3. You paid A LOT of money for that gun. Don't waste time on here. Call Brandon. But I've heard from some local SV shooters that they don't take very good care of customers after the sale these days. I hope that is not true.
  4. My current load is a RMR 124 TC Match Winner over 4.8 grains of N330 to 1.125" = 137 PF out of an XC.
  5. So, my CS which didn't cost me anything, came with a Holosun on it. It has shake awake and the window is plenty big for a carry/duty gun. And the dot is very crisp compared to my DPP. When and if it breaks, it will be replaced by the RMR HD.
  6. I just got a Staccato XL (5.4") two weeks ago and it shoots softer/flatter than my P and XC. It is a pure joy to shoot.
  7. Unless you are just really weak, you probably have the strength to grip it properly, you just have to "think" about doing it while you are thinking about so many other things. If you do strength training, don't use wrist straps, make your grip do the work. If the gym isn't your thing, get a sledge hammer and pound a tire. That will help too.
  8. That is the way to do it. Great work!!
  9. So I had an enlightened moment today. I've been shooting nothing but Staccatos for the last three months in various forms. I received my XL today, a 5.4" 9mm variant. It shoots so soft, I actually prefer it to the XC which is a 4.4" comped gun. I will give actual weight numbers, later, but the dot never moved out of the A zone. It was amazing.
  10. Received my 5K cases this morning and it looks amazing and brand new. I've never loaded brass that looks this good!! Can hardly wait for my next loading session!! Thank you!! TM
  11. Not all dot guns are big and heavy these days. The CS I'm carrying at work is 22 ounces and lots of folks are carrying the little Sigs or G43x that is even lighter. While I agree, most shootings are gonna be so close, no sights are used at all. If you find yourself in a active school shooter situation, you may be glad you have the dot for a 75 yard shot. I was brought up with the saying, better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it.
  12. I think shorter sessions are better anyway. Anything over 500 rounds is almost hypnotic. While I've done plenty of longer sessions, my new preference is 500 and done.
  13. I'm a big fan of the Salomon Forces Middy. I wear them quite a bit at work and during the cooler months at matches. They have Gortex and non-Gortex models.
  14. No doubt I can buy some cheap ball ammo for the same or maybe less than the ammo I'm loading right now. But, I'm using top shelf powder and bullets which produce a bullet more like Atlanta Arms which is about 15 cents a round more than my ammo is costing me.
  15. Can you come tune my RF100? LOL I just got it back from Dillon and while it will get them up the ramp now, I still get about 1% upside down.
  16. Welcome to the forums. I'm starting to dip my toe back in the USPSA pool, so I may see you around. Shooting the XMG match next weekend?
  17. I certainly don't enjoy loading ammo. I'm just so ahead of the curve with loaded practice and match ammo, that I have time to experiment. And the crimped primers have been a PITA. I can buy factory ammo for about what my rounds cost me, but it wouldn't be nearly as good a round. I looked at Atlanta Arms yesterday and their ammo, which is comparable to mine, is about 60 cents a round. About double what my rounds are costing me. I just bought 5k prepped cases from one of our vendors. Living the good life!!
  18. Funny you should say that. Schueman (sp) used to say the only thing he put down his barrel was bullets. I questioned that on here way back in '08 or so, and I quickly got my head chopped of for questioning his idea.
  19. I was a long time N320 user for 40 major and 9 minor. I read about N330 on here, made the switch and now I have 5k practice bullets with 147 grain projectiles and 3.5 grains of N320. I'm using 124 grain RMR TC Matchwinners over 4.7 grains of N330 to 1.125" that will shoot 1.5" at 25 yards with my GGI pistols and Staccatos. Made 137 PF our of my XC at the Piney Woods Shootout. Plenty of gas for the comp and still plenty soft.
  20. I went a little crazy this weekend. Loaded around 2k and processed about the same amount. The loading sessions convinced me to process first due to the speed/smoothness of the actual reloading process. I noticed the bolt on the main shaft of the 1050 had worked loose and I started having bullet dropper issues. Snugged it up and it ran like a whole new machine. I will keep an eye on that from now on.........
