  1. I used load .308 with Wilson die arbor press.... i bought a .223 seating die to load at range for load development i went cheap and didn't buy stainless. How do you keep this die from rusting .... I live in Florida so it's always damp......
  2. Arredondo. It needed some filing to drop mags, it's huge funnel it's relatively inexpensive. It works Bols on bolts off
  3. Yes I stand corrected...
  4. Once I find plunk length. Subtract .0015. I'll load one complete all dies crimp, and all. Then re plunk/ spin, case gauge. Then load 10. Go to range and test fire 1. Check brass for pressure signs. Load 2 shoot rapid ( function) . Load 3 . Rapid ....... If that is a go try some accuracy testing slow fire or supported. On next loading. I will plunk every 4 th or fifth. Go shoot have fun. now that coal and loading process is good. If I don't see decent results on paper. Work on powder load. After a second successful loading session. I Case gauge only. Afar 500 or so pills..... I only case gauge match ammo. And don't bother with training ammo. i mis read 1.008 is way short. I think the shortest I ever loaded was 1.065. And that was shorter than others shooting same pill. it looks like you last go round got you to the sweet spot. There are. Measurements for how much taper crimp...... Measuring case mouth after crimp no bullet. I think my magic number is .376. I'd confirm but caliper batteries are dead. Bell measument is minimum to hold bullet but I tend to guide pill up
  5. He is a site sponsor / vendor. But he is best reached via Facebook. Tougher-N-Nails Targets and Bullets, LLC. https://www.facebook.com/tntargets/?ref=ts&fref=ts im about to order a full flat rate box tell him biglou sent you
  6. I used to cull out Cbc, Anguilla, pierce. Head stamps....... tuning------.
  7. i'm going to have to respectfully dis agree with tater while the components listed are great parts and work great and are $$$ i think tuning the gas tames the rifle movement that little bit more in addition to lo mass BCG and tuned buffer spring, go to a gas key on BCG and it is serviceable and have yet to hear of blockage.
  8. i've tried blue, sns, extreme they all work just need to plunk and spin..... id figure out which barrel is shorter load to that then see if it performs in other however the i had some issues with certain head stamps with the deeper seated pills 147 grooved i'm working on a 130 flat point load now. which i really like and are least expensive pill i've found
  9. i use manual for reference start low and work your way up.... but cz short-ness and available bullets rarely meet book spec. i think i found a sweet spot on my current test of 130 flat point (grooveless) that is below book i need to chrono to see if it makes PF up grades, i'd polish everything you can polish, reduced trigger return spring (stock one will break), i like the 11 # main spring, i changed my trigger still meets production rules less curved, i didnt go with adjustable sight.... was thinking that at first but after i went to fiber optic front..... i realized i dont need adjustable rear.. and ive shot 124 to 147's if there is a slight change my mind make up for it subconciously....... im shooting minute of A-zone accuracy no plans to to be a bullseye shooter..... i'd look at the cajun pro package as a guide... hammer definitely make for a crispy break cajun has one for the tactical and keeps you in production.
  10. your issue is not unique... all cz owners have similar issue I have same gun CZ chamber is tight/ short. never loaded that brand but 1.08 sounds about right. there are threads here and on other sites where people will ream so the can load longer. i haven't reamed my BBL. i've also found with certain bullets ill need to cull out cbc, aguilla and pierce because setaing bullets deeper cause thick hips...... but you are doing the right thing plunk and spin!!! now the fun question what work have you done to spo1 tactical welcome to forun
  11. +1 the hammer makes a huge difference on the break and they have a hammer that cajun tweaks and stays in production... i took a bit of a different route on polishing i found some inexpensive stones and used those on flat surfaces. and dont forget reduced trigger return spring. if you havent broken first one you will soon. cajun as a new design but not out yet.... make sure to pin the disco and hammer pin .... don't ask me how i know i have screen shots of old cajun site it explains the mods. a little better. kneeling atlas who is here the resident CZ guru i expect him to chime in any time now sorry if we/ I am pushing for full package.... but i piece mealed mine over time and cost me more $$ and more headaches. but boy does she sing.... even compared to shadow...... and that is with out short reset... but im my quest for sub .20 splits i've decided to add the last 2 part of package.... i cant stress how much a better gun over stock. !!!!!! short of straight trigger of cts you'll get similar feel to in single action mine in 3.7 with 11# spring but if we are going to far let us know and well fine tune our recommendations.. also give us a list of work done to shadow ps. i think cajun sites are dawson im not sure where you live but i'd let you shoot mine and im sure others here would offer the same to get the feel of tuned spo1/ shadow PPS welcome to the board
  12. if i recall you can add short reset kit, trigger, springs, short lifter if you have firing pin block and polish, maybe a heavy guide rod to simulate more weight. you should be close..... it depends on what work was done on both what work has been done on either . thing is any shadow version still could use some work to get it to really sing.... i have the last parts of my puzzle for spo1 lifter and disco left to install to have short reset and full package..... im a cajun fan..... but i understand czc has similar parts..... i'd call or write the guys at cajun or czc check out the 75115 kit from cajun then subtract what you already have for sight pic match the parts front and rear ....but cts ls ls is longer so you'll never match it.
  13. i just bought some dummy rounds from Bwikel from here a page back..... "$10/dozen and $7 flat rate shipping for up to 42 in a box." i ordered 2 dozen in retro i should have ordered more already gave some away..... fast shipping good product my hand and thumb is sore couldn't be more pleased order with confidence !!!!
  14. i took her out for the first time today. started breaking her in with 25 rounds (didn't have much time) of federal bulk box from wally world. i had one round that failed to return to battery. it was pattering to the left and a bit high. @ 15Y (i think) It came with 3 shims the trigger on her is a BEAST!!! I'm definitely looking into some work here what is trigger pull #, stock? i'm prolly not going to shim right away, nor am i losing sleep over FTRB. I'm going to let it ride until she is better broken in. did any of you m3k or m3000 owner have to shim to tune POI ????? the locals @ clay club are already trying to talk me into some more chokes. the ones that came with it are notch coded (barely) 3,4,5 notches. (ill take inexpensive suggestions here)!!!
  15. a friend loads 7 also he shoots 1 off target 5 on target and doesn't shoot last .... so your the second person to say they have the same issue........
  16. you might get better response in reloading section. i use FL and always lube rifle cases. when i shot precision rifle, (.308) i used bushing dies, arbor press....... to get appropriate neck tension but this was on a sub .25 moa rifle. i was a neck turn away the bench rest rabbit hole. @.25 and/or less moa neck tension makes a difference. along with fancy brass, pills, $$$ barrel, arbor press, wilson dies........ if i can get 1 moa or less, from slow fire prone or bench position with AR i'm happy. this is with a white oak 1in 7 barrel, 77 gr pills, and this is with FL dies .... thing is its not often that level of accuracy is necessary. chances are for 98% of all AR shooters the standard full length die set up appropriately will be sufficient
  17. I got these from forum dealer. Here is his Facebook link. https://www.facebook.com/tntargets/ he answered faster there. Super fast shipping, consistent measure, dia and legnth A bit overweight but I expected that.... My cz likes..... With culled brass !!!!! i'm super stoked to test GROOVLESS pills. so I started a testing @ 3.48 gr title group. Original plan was to work up from there. One of the range gurus shot a 10 round one hole group @ 10 yards. More than enough accuracy for the short game. I Was limited on play time last week and didn't get to test longer distance or other loads. No chrono yet. I like the feel/Recoil response of these 130's I just finished some 135. And 147 gr. and these feel a bit mushy in comparison to 130. i'm very pleased with product and " the price is right" !!! i'm about to order a medium flat rte box full. ps. In full disclosure I am not recieving any compensation ................ ( yet)
  18. is it possible to train for a faster trigger finger / faster splits? I'm talking just raw trigger speed with little to no concern for accuracy. my average split is approx .22 I can on rare occasion get a .19/.18. prepped trigger reaction time .20. I know some people are naturally hard wired for fast twitch.... Have i maxed my human potential @ .22? Is this speed trainable?
  19. i spoke with a local instructor (i caught him in parking lot for the question), he says as Pat alluded to, at closer targets i'm using more strict front sight focus. on larger target (idpa full size @ 7 yards), either i'm not front sight focusing at all or not enough, and that more than likely point shooting. i'm still adding /hypothesizing that with my bad eyes, adding further target is throwing a wrench in things moral of the story..... use full size targets as often a possible, get shooting glasses, pay attention to front sight focus ps. my solution for inexpensive full size targets, cut out A zones on throw away cardboard target from recent match, Draw outline with sharpie, A zones with pencil on a $10 roll of kraft paper from big box hardware store. ( laugh because i left the range the other day and realized had more $ in pasters than on full size DIY target!!!)
  20. I'd add I some plyometrics.... Start with air squats with perfect form!. Jumping air squats. Box jumps. Seated air squat seated jumping squat, seated box jump. Explosive back squat ( light weights) Sled work..... High knee drills and dont forget forget posterior chain specific exercises...... Stif leg dead/ Romanian dead lift,. Glute ham raise,. Reverse hypers. ( finding a machine is like hens teeth)
  21. i had to bump my handle a few times when i first ran it (bought it used) but now it works fine. cycle handle a few times see if it loosens up take off shell plate, detent ball spring, clean and reassemble.... make sure to loosen and tighten brass tip set screw on main shaft.. then tension shell plate bolt appropriately im curious if this will fix your issue (wild guess ) if that fails then i'd consider new detent ball spring im about to switch too 223 shell plate ill repost if i can find issue
  22. another one people especially MD's miss is magnesium deficiency... approximately 57% of population is mag deficient. another supplement I also swear by is (high grade) fish oil. due to the modern farming and feed lot practices our mag and epa dha fats found in fish oil are out of kilter... ps. mag help most sleep better and improve bowel function, and helps many suffering with migraines
  23. good question Pat. i've been thinking about it all last night..... thing is my aiming process so subconscious... i'm not sure i'm pretty sure i'm sight focusing but i'm going to retest and rethink the process today? whats your theory on target vs sight focus? my hypothesis now is poor(er) vision issues at longer distances... im farsighted (older eyes) but i think its the relationship of level of focus near field to farther field vision (full size target)
