  1. Thanks jack i asked him to throw a few and weigh. I also suggested that he throw 10 then weigh... He hasn't got back to me yet...... I'll weigh the loaded cartridges that have this morning.
  2. I agree with the guys above but @ 56 start slow learn perfect form i'd start with air squat.... Learn perfect form box squats jumping squats box jumps Weighted back squat front sqaut skip rope double unders shuttle run short sprints quick stop/box sprints but I do love the dead lift. But do yourself a favor start light learn perfect form!!! you really don't need to go super heavy progress so to sumo dead lift high pulls then cleans from here your getting into the realm of oly lifting. Im not against serious oly lifting but it's a huge time comitment to get proficient. I'd rather be shooting once your cleans are good ........... My favorite........ tire flips!!! Depending on strength and tire weight. The clean style flip is explosive and is an oly core move ish . Not to mention it is super satisfying to flip a tire. Much of of the above exercises are progressive movements toward the more complex/ compound For this sport, I would simplify it down to to shuttle runs/ box sprints, tire flips clean and jerk jumping rope, ..... With ocassional pus up pull up, kettle bell work , heavy farmers walks. ( the later 2 help with grip stregnth)
  3. Factory guns/ springs. cci primers... ( I'll confirm tomorrow) small percentageage fuctioned on second strike. Saved most to analyze. 100% on factory ammo 100% on my reloads ( 550, Winchester primer, mixed brass, title group)
  4. Loosen nut reassemble ....... make sure upper and lower are proper sure not technical. But had same issue. Took it apart and reassembled and viola' ... Tight fit.
  5. Thanks all. I measure a few of mine and got .003 avg.. Next question ion my friend loads on a 650 ( I load on 550). What could be going wrong other than bad QC ? on 550 I'd look at primer cup adjustment ,. I know little to nothing if 650.
  6. welcome what guns and what kind of shooting do you do?
  7. again helping friend with issues on reloads 9mm mix brass jacketed 124 gr bullet cci primer tite group (3.8 -3.9gr) dillon dies dillon 650 helping friend trouble shoot load problems i was shooting with friend to night and had an uncomfortable amount of "puff loads" bullet left barrel very soft recoil some failure to eject or sillier fault consistient oal ( out of 20 mic'd) said casings had darker markings (scorch) than good cartridges 3 different guns 2 different shooters i have 20 rounds that i will weigh later no weights yet thinking out loud....... is it possible powder gets " damp" it is possible, eventough he has powder check, that powder weight is off..... With 3.8 title group load how sensitive is powder check? ( I'll weigh in am) I'm a 550 guy so I know i doubt bullet Diameter would make that big a difference.? Static ice charge affecting drop?
  8. a friend is having issues with soft primer strikes just being technical using a stand dial mic. comparator (https://www.midwayusa.com/product/310955/rcbs-case-master-concentricity-gaging-tool) i measure bottom of case for lowest reading then zero then measure primer surface what is (rule) specification for primer seating depth? this is on 9mm
  9. i've only seen one kind of lemishine..... check package the active ingredient is citric acid. so im inclined to say yes. if you can find citric acid you can use that.
  10. sounds normal. warm bore is always different from cold bore. (with all the bolt actions ive owned) sub moa cold to moa warm , 1 (ish) moa change is not a big deal actually decent for factory barrel read up on ocw (ish) testing and shooting groups in a round robin (ish) same load, slow fire to get better idea of rifle overall accuracy. ill bet you could squeeze our more accuracy tuning hand load
  11. welcome i hope to one day return to da islands eat poke, go fishing, spend time in the water, and shoot
  12. I'd be more concerned with neck tension than Thousandths length. The are bigger fish to fry before that will be an issue.
  13. My best groups were cold bore.... With a minute or 2 between shots. My shooting days also included frequent cleanings.... ( (obermeyer amu barrel, gap trued Remington 700 action. Lapua brass, federal match primers ) i havent shot shot a PR match I a long time but I doubt the small change in group.size will change the outcome of a match. chasing that tiny group.... You risk falling down the rabbit hole of bench rest shooting given a custom barrel action and good smith I agree that it's most likely not the barrel. I would look towards more towards consitincey load, bullet jump, components.... Are you getting consistent chrono stats? do you use a scope level? Once I started using one i was able to break .20 moa regularly. When you say slightly larger. How much larger?
  14. I recently started getting lots of .14. Which is a break through for me I recently added short reset to trigger. Cz spo1 what really helped was shooting (burning ) through some ammo and NOT using timer..... It was able to remove tension Also try ignoring target. Shoot at blank paper. And work on raw speed.
  15. Do you mean point of impact? .... I'm high on pattern board does cheek pad raise or lower POI? havent gone to long range yet to test slugs
  16. What grit and what, did you use for "glue" ?
  17. What thickness do you use? 1/16, 1/8, 3/16, 1/4 inch ? i get a little cheek slap, but nothing offensive When cheek weld/ form is off I can tell I've shot about 300 rounds so far out of stoeger m3k. is pad really necessary?
  18. I'm new recently added +8 to m3k Shot idpa match on sat..... Any training is good training but...,, it was first time at that range. It was very good training to see how different match director tests different and new skills , first time shooting swingers, flipper, twister, low port movement, odd # shots on target, 4 inch plate, many stages with backwards movement while shooing . after match friend / member @ host range put some steel out finally was able to load 12+1, mag dump for function!!! simple shoot While moving drill with shot gun. ( much harder than carbine and pistol)
  19. Funny this came up today i left the range today dehydrated.. i had had plenty of water with me. But only drank one small bottle during match the excitement and adrenaline easily masks thirst, hunger, fatigue, mental fatigue. once match ended, and the rush and adrenaline let off I felt surprisingly exhausted if you get to point where you are very thirsty.... It's most likely to late, to make recovery by end of match. you will be playing catch up, not to mention decreased mental acuity. sure I grab a g2 every now and again. what makes more sense is to drink water, dilute fruit juice and eat your electrolytes naturally, Also helps keep blood sugar at even keel apple, orange, banana , celery,, carrots, nuts and cheese, think REAL food, Of the convenience products I like Lara bars. ( which I will remember to bring next time) i've decided I'm setting phone to remind me to snack and hydrate throughout match day.
  20. i'm a cz fan ...... a huge one But.... i'm going to echo the above gun does not make the shooter i would stroke my match gun as much as possible to stay witih in production if that is what you want. this should satisfy man's innate need to to weak and tinker. also after this point there is no reason that glock will be holding you back. i have a stroked CZ i get beat by glocks all the time...... its not the gun its the guy behind it buy a dillon 550 or 650 powder, brass primers etc etc and shoot more, lots more do more dry fire drills do more movement drills shoot more matches shoot with other "friends" get some training shoot your friends CZ's as much as possible why czc...... peer pressure? what about cajun and automatic accuracy? give this a few months of solid training then revisit the question
  21. Been working on raw trigger speed. My avg was .22 split recently got .20 relatively consistent my personal best ( fastest split) was .16 maybe a 2 or 3 times in last few thousand rounds found myself more than occasionally short stroking trigger, in quest for faster splits Added the last 2 parts to cz sp01 tactical to complete pro package. 14m lifter and t2 disconnector a'la Cajun....... Reach reduction and short reset today I hit .14 split a couple of times. Out about 100 rounds today only few outside of A zone @ 5 yards so so my human limit as posted earier is improving !!! the mechanical/ shorter reset helped..... But I also think just relaxing and working raw trigger speed without timer has helped. It is good to see some progress. Now to get that .14 consistient or better ( along with other goats)
  22. north florida my car said 90F after driving for a bit!!!!!!!! but we did have a touch of frost last week
