  1. Do you dilute nu finish with water? 40# bags I imagine it's pretty cheap . What does that cost? Where do you get 40 # bags?
  2. I know some people run the 8.5 spring and have no issues. I have all three. I did have some light strikes with 8.5 but I think it was a bad batch of primers. I like the feel of 11.5 and never had light strikes for any primers , so far As far as I know and did .....trigger bar.... Standard polish job.... also look where the trigger bar spring rides the trigger bar. I did most of Trigger bar polish with a high grit stone. Lt wt trigger spring will drop pull easily .... Plus there is that new trigger spring....
  3. are you judging "good", by shot group size? how are you testing barrels? rebuilding, different uppers, different rifle have you ladder or Optimal charge weight tested each? did you test each bullet and barrel first at 100? are barrels broken in?... i have a suspicion that a barrel shoots poorly until broken in have you factored in user error?
  4. what # hammer/main spring are you running? i polished hammer strut but didn't feel much difference. not really a solution but i dry fire frequently with 13.5# spring. but go to range with 11 or 8.5 i feel like the 8.5 is too light and find myself discharging when prepping next thing is to shoot D/A with a timer

    CZ 75 sp-01

you may want the LPA sight if you want adjustability/tuneability (rear sight) granted im not a bulleye shooter 115 gr 124 gr 135gr 147 gr it all depends on the load.... ive shot all 4 weights with fixed sights. F/0 from cajun. On sp01 tactical. i used to think i needed to adjust sights...... i found out out i needed to adjust me. i'm no pro. but ive shot varying powders, powder weights, bullet weights, bullet profiles........ shoot enough of given ammo....... the holes end up in the A-Zone. i suppose subconsciously i'm making them work. maybe someone else here will be able to explain phenomenon better
  6. built a 3g ish carbine practiced right to left shoulder transition haven't trained handgun regularly while, the skills that have degraded the most are first D/A shot and GRIP rapid 6 shot group is bigger than before, still in a zone but larger group. i hope my lost skills come back fast.
  7. no shipping and had a coupon........ ok i've heard wildly varying times for time in tumbler? how long are you running? how often do you add more nu finish? i cant complain with fine walnut, i may throw in a handful of rice (since i'm not eating it, doing lo- carb), is corn cob any different?
  8. running replacement now. this one is quieter already.... i pretty sure last one was a lemon!!! replacement went 40 minutes.... metal base was warm.... wing nut stayed cool.
  9. same here since its from mozilla/firefox i dont quite consider it a pop up i'm sure it will take a few weeks to get used to the facelift.......
  10. http://www.harborfreight.com/5-lb-metal-vibrator-tumbler-67617.html this one, wing nut on mine was metal.. I'm exchanging it
  11. For years I've only utrasonic cleaned ( for space restraint) recently , now living in more humid climes, have noticed brass tarnishing, in some cases severely I bought a harbor freight tumbler recently. Along with walnut media and nu finish brass comes out shiny! My my concern is second batch I ran was under 1 hour. Wing nut was almost too hot to handle..... im thinking safety hazard! is this normal? what if I needed to run longer than 1 hour? those with hf 5# tumbler how long do you run? Does it generate heat? i have a feeling I'm going to exchange this one......
  12. I did have to make adjustments with adjustable gas with addition of light weight bolt carrier....... I did NOT have to make adjustments fo buffer spring spacers / Increase or decrease spring weight/ with addition of light weight bolt carrier... If that helps. ......
  13. On rifle length system. Tac com ALW 223 system enhanced buffer spring rubber city armory adjustable gas key D. Wilson bolt carrier Mil spec bolt Schuller brake Boom ...... With The taccom ALW system/ rifle length. The forward BCG is dampened and tuned with enhanced buffer spring, and spacers. So basically with 30 round mag loaded, I tuned buffer spring with spacers for minimal amount of forward motion/energy.... Minimal amount of energy to strip round from loaded magazine and lock bolt forward..... Minimizing dip from forward reciprocation action/ movement I can't confirm "No" change. If any it was very minimal either way... No noticeable difference by adding lt wt bolt carrier. the muzzle motion I noticed is a slight lateral move to the right. I'm going to study th JP formula.....but I retuned system for each additional part/ modification. 1. Buffer/ sprig/spacer. For forward motion 2. Adjustable gas system. For minimal bolt lock back... ( found out I needed to open gas a bit more to function for multiple shots) 3. Light weight bolt carrier (4.). Brake. does not really affect reciprocating weight/ movement.
  14. I had set up Low mass buffer system with adjustable gas key. ( taccom, rubber city) Was waiting to test/ buy a light weight BCG...... A deal came by I could'n't pass on... Bought it Installed the low mass/weight BCG Re tuned ... Functions 100%....... I bought a d.wilson BCG. Used my own bolt. This unit is slightly heavier than AIM. My BCG retains forward assist notches. So my opinion is.... With tuned low mass buffer and adj gas system..... I have NOT appreciated a noticeable difference adding the low mass BCG
  15. Jack is telling me right Tenn is telling me left I'll try both.........
  16. Jack, Yes I can. I will try that . Thanks
  17. i pretty sure my AR is tuned light weight buffer system, brake, adj gas, light weight BCG i don't think i could squeeze any more performance out of it.... almost no muzzle rise 16 inch barrel what i'm observing in my shooting and others shooting my rifle is a slight lateral movement to right (i'm right handed) both mod weaver and isoceles my groups and splits are way faster and better than hand gun please advise i'm relatively new to this style of shooting
  18. can you load the 77 tmk to AR mag length???
  19. im pretty sure the screw head diameter is smaller on the scales......
  20. LOL!! i watched the whole video..... 100 usually 200 very rarely does it cut consistently ?
  21. get your minds out of the gutter.... any one have any comments/opinions on the giraud tri way /three way trimmer?
  22. Good to know that my .2 reaction time is "normal" ish. I try to train and ocassionally get sub .2 I've come to conclusion that reaction time training has limited results..... Better time spent training other skills...... ( I still do it most range days as warm up... Gets me moving on the B of beeeep)
  23. I've got book data but looking to see if any one has pet loads...... ( yes I'll work up slowly / cautiously) 1/7 Wylde 18 inch 1/8 Wylde. 16 inch I have 55 grain. 62 and 75's I'm working up I've got limited time at 100 and 100+. Yards to ladder/ ocw next week. Any nodes you've found and or pet loads appreciated I'll ocassionally shoot 800y
